Very well done. I found another good video on the mid-muffler delete, then saw this. Sold! I had the mod done today. $245 with some blackened stainless tips. Sounds amazing and looks so much better than stock. I prefer the deeper resonance of this mod vs the raspier/angrier sound of the mid-muffler delete. Manually downshifting downhill makes me mute the stereo and puts a smile on my face. It's just a personal preference, but THANKS so much for putting the time into making this.

I traded 2 cars in on my Durango, including a '03 Vette with CAI and Corsa catback exhaust, which sounded awesome. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but my 3rd Row Seating family SUV with tow package now sounds BETTER than the Vette!

If you're thinking about it, DO IT. These videos don't do 1/10th justice to how GREAT my Dodge Durango RT sounds after the resonator delete. It is aggressive on start, but MAN WHEN YOU ACCELERATE, it is RAW, even slowing down at lights it rumbles and growls. I put it in sport mode and took off, OMG I was grinning ear to ear and acting like a gitty girl. Its incredible, it will even make a loud thunderous slap if you accelerate hard enough and let off. Sounds like a freakin racecar. It feels like I drove off in a different vehicle with an all new exhaust. It is insane, and not obnoxiously loud when idling or cruising. I have zero drone on highway that I've noticed. I left suitcase muffler on, and just had the resonators cut off, piping welded in place and 5inch exhaust tips added on. Cost me $280 total at a hole-in-the-wall muffler shop. Do it do it do it.

Im not trying to wake up the whole neighborhood so the res. delete seems to be idea especially if there's little to no drone. Now my question is how is the performance? Not really looking for much gain if any at just hoping not to lose any performance.
Thank you for showing this option, I had this done at the Meineke on Rt. 38 Lumberton. I think it sounds better than the muffler delete and so does my wife. I did it for her as a Christmas gift, it puts a smile on her face everytime she hit the gas pedal. Greg D.

I love the way this sounds, but real question, is this obnoxiously loud? I live close to my neighbors, and leave for work at 5:30am at times. I have a fuLL SRT Exhaust to install, and am debating a delete or the SRT exhaust.
So cold start is pretty loud. I leave for work early..I never back in the driveway Bc I always want the exhaust pipes facing away from my house to let my family sleep lol. My advice would be to install the srt exhaust since you have it. It’s pretty loud from what I have heard but the cold start seems a little more tame compared to rt resonater delete.

I got a 2013 durango crew with single exhaust just did a mid muffler deltete and added a flowmaster 40 series delta flow, but also thinking about removing the resonator if it means no drone increase
If you like it I would leave it alone but I also feel like the mid muffler delete makes it raspy so if it is.. maybes it’s worth deleting the rear one too
@LouieAWDTSi I added the delta flow 40 series flowmaster in its place though, I've heard of ppl just straight piping or adding the x pipe in its place but nothing like this, ima give it time to break in some and then may decide ro remove the resonator wife says it isn't loud enough lol so may go through with it
I kept the suitcase. After researching other videos at the time, I felt it was too high pitched/raspy with it removed. Helps keep drone out of the cabin too.
I heard you mention Marlton, in the video and then I saw you go through the tunnel onto 295 north, so I know you can’t be too far away from me in Cherry Hill. Great job starting it from all of the locations, my favorite being the start-up from inside the house. My birthday is next week and I think I can convince the wife to let me delete the resonators if she can hear it, in person, first. Either way I still would love to hear it before I cut them off. I would imagine you wouldn’t want to post your address or phone number here so we can just put a place and time down to meet that’s local to both of us, if your are willing to let me hear the truck in person. Yeah I’m not a huge fan of mid muffler delete. You have two options. Put it back and it’ll sound better(deeper) more stock Hemi sound. Or, delete the rears like I did in this video (it should sound great but It will be louder then mine in the video).
@@rayrosa6894 gt v6 or Canada gt v8? The v6 with rear resonators deleted should make it sound deeper then the mid muffler delete. But I’m not sure if it’ll be to your liking 🤷🏻♂️
Is that good or bad? Honestly I’ve heard straight piped cars (some sound good some not so good) and they are usually REALLY loud.. this isn’t bad at all.
A question I’m at the shop with my 16 citadel and the mechanic is telling me the rear resonators are the mufflers and the resonator is in the middle of the vehicle I’m getting the rear things deleted and 4 inch tips added

@@LouieAWDTSi 5.7L hemi The invoice says a mid muffler delete. Basically they cut the mufflers off and added pipes with a 4 inch tip. I was originally going in for just a resonator delete but they told me it wouldn’t make any difference in sound and cutting the mufflers off would.
@@SirJorge. take a look at the picture in the first few seconds of my Video and hit pause. I deleted the last 2 pieces and it sounds nice. I kept the “mid muffler” there (the middle suitcase looking piece). Did you do the same as me or did you ditch the mid muffler suitcase piece?

Sounds awesome, deep tone, doesn’t drone, cheap etc If there’s any moments where I a hint of regret it’s during a 5am start since I respect my neighbors lol but I’ll take my wife’s car if I need to go somewhere that early
@@steelfan187 only the cold start is loud and it settles down within 30 seconds. I always make sure I pull fwd when I park in my driveway instead of backing in. This way the back end of the car is pointing away from my neighbor. I leave at 6:30 am as well but sometimes I do side work on the weekends at 5am so I’ll use my wife’s car for the 5am start but 6:30am is Durango. It’s really not bad, I’m just extra courteous and my neighbors house is like 15ft from my driveway. But driving around and all that, it’s not loud unless you get on it.

Depends.. it’ll sound like a 6 cyl but I’m sure it’ll sound louder if that’s what you want. There are 6 cyl that do sound nice but I don’t have much experience with the mopar 3.6 motor in particular

Nope, they are basically just rear mufflers but they are officially called rear resonators.

A little bit not no drown so if you are cruising it’s quiet. Only loud at higher rpm’s .. I have a 2 year old now.. and he naps just fine back there

Depends on your state rules.. some states like mine, don’t give you an issue unless you delete your catalytic converter which I did not do that.

Yes delete the rear resonators (or mufflers some call them, but in the Durango world.. they are actually listed at rear resonators). Same difference

Nope, all I did was delete the rear resonators and added larger tips. I kept the mid muffler bc that helps keep the tone deeper.

Yup it will sound a bit different since it’s the v6 (assuming your GT is the USA version which is a 6cyl).
It will def be louder

It’s centered really well. The stock exhaust is not centered on the Durango’s which you can certainly see.

My friends has that engine in a charger. He got the rear mufflers deleted and the resonator delete. Sound like a lil performance car. I love it.

Only when you give some heavy throttle .. but just cruising things stay quiet as normal
