    Do both 🤘😎
    One for honest finders and one for dishonest finders. 🎒

    I work as a baggage handler for a major airline. Please put it inside your luggage. Things get torn off outside the bag. Rollers, getting caught on the wheels of other bags.
    As for a backpack. Do the same. Hopefully you won’t be away too long from your bag and will have time to track it down quickly. I’m speaking as someone who left their phone on the sink in the Charlotte airport. I went back for it immediately and it was gone. As soon as it started pinging, it was ditched in the trash a few gates away.

    the best way is to hide one inside the bag, AND attach one as a decoy on the outside.
    then you get the best of both worlds, the good guy will find you very easily with the decoy tag, and the bad guy will still be tracked after he thought he is safe cuz he has thrown away the decoy

      Haha right on! That gives me an idea... maybe someone should 3D print a fake AirTag to serve as the external one. That way you don't have to waste a real AirTag!

  • @Astronaut_FX
    @Astronaut_FX 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Maybe both? One on the outside of the bag, hoping that if you simply leave it somewhere, and someone finds it, they'll try to contact you. Another hidden inside, so that if it's stolen, and the one on the outside is simply discarded, the inner one might be overlooked by the thief, and you may still be able to track it down. Yes, that means the cost of two, but if the bag and its contents are super valuable, this may be worth the expense of multiple AirTags.

      For sure. This is solid strategy if it’s something super important or expensive. Thanks for sharing your take!

    Am attaching mine to a cheap keyring accessory from Amazon 😂 will probably keep the tile as well for double chances of finding my keys haha cool video bro!
    PS.: Imagine buying the $450 accessory and hide it 😂

      What’s up Alex? Not a bad idea of doubling up on trackers. You mean you didn’t buy 10 of the Hermès loops? 🤣 Thanks for stopping by, bro!

    Alsoooo last comment I swear, Hanging an AirTag on the outside bag just kinda might give the user a special feel out in public because the possess an Apple product and it has just been released. What I feel is that the larger mass of AirTag users just have it for the 'APPLE FLEX' kinda thing rather than to actually use it.
    Just my opinion, Tell me if I'm wrong please....

      Some definitely like to show off their new gadgets, and I’m sure Apple would rather they be on display than at the bottom of a bag. 😅

    Put it on the camera. If I’m stealing it I’m stealing the camera n not keeping the bag lol

    I'm on the fence because that lost feature with the NFC is nice but keeping it the bag means it's less of an "I got important stuff in here, steal it" beacon

    • @OneTechMind
      @OneTechMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, feeling kinda the same. And it’ll be interesting to surely see a bunch of tags in one place once that’s safe again (e.g. at Disneyland).

    *Is the pairing lock always on or only in lost mode? Because you wouldn't want someone to snatch your airtag and pair it to their own phone and use it for themselves.*

    • @OneTechMind
      @OneTechMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s tad unclear from what I’ve read/seen. I *think* the Pairing Lock is always active, just like Apple’s similar Activation Lock. Will update if I find out different. Thanks for watching!

    Dude, what camera and mic do you use?

    • @OneTechMind
      @OneTechMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there!
      When I started last year, I was using a Sony ZV-1. A few videos ago, I switched to a Sony A7C, paired with a Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens. The mic I’m using is the Deity D3 Pro. Absolutely love this setup!
      Got a few affiliate links for these in the description if you want to check them out.

    is the belkin kingring any good i know is the only cheap one that protects the airtag from getting scratch the apple brand doesnt protect it from scratches is only for looks?

    • @OneTechMind
      @OneTechMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think the Belkin ones are shipping out until this week, so we’ll see. I’ll definitely include them in my follow up vid!

    This all comes down to changing human behavior. Apple is betting on 'goodness' part of humans. We can only hope everybody will do the needful and return the contents of the bag. In my country, an airtag will probably cost more than LKR 10k, which is a significant amount to spend in the first place. So there's that as well.

    • @OneTechMind
      @OneTechMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great points. That sounds like it works out to $50 USD ($20 more than the MSRP here). Also makes me wonder if the $300+ Hermès tags will be a target themselves. 😝

    If someone wants to steal from you, bad enough, they will. But if a casual bad-actor sees an airtag(and knows what it is) they will probably target something easier to steal. IMHO

    • @JenniferEliseAtchiso
      @JenniferEliseAtchiso 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t see airtags as anti-theft devices, but as anti “where the hell did I put it” devices

    • @OneTechMind
      @OneTechMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good points. AirTags may make it *marginally* easier to recover stolen goods, but the marketing definitely emphasizes the “lost” aspect.
