Thank you so much ❤ because of you this is my second song on the ukulele and I finally can sing to it. Need to practice but just wanted to thank you :)
Strumming and finger picking is all very well if you can sing. Without the melody it's a nonsense. I need a tab with single notes and chords for the melody as my voice sounds like a cat with its tail caught in the door! 🙄
I entered the world of ukulele 6 months ago and discovered your channel now. the best ukulele channel I've seen so far. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. God bless your life!
This is the best Hallelujah finger pick tutorial I have found - just WOW! 🤩 It needs more thumbs up!! Also perfect for the low G Tenor instrument. Thanks Lara, you are a great teacher.
One of my favorite songs, I have always strummed it so now I’m excited to learn the fingerpicking version with your helpful instructions- your style of teaching is so easy to follow - thank you 😊
Thank you so much Lara for sharing your music and your teaching method. For me, it has been the first time that I can play and sing at the same time. It means the world to me! Thanxxxxx
Absolutely the best tutorial for Hallelujah that I have seen. I learned the “easy” version from a Hal Leonard book of easy uke songs....It was fun to learn it but this tutorial is just incredible
Thank you so much!! Your tutorials are so clear and concise - even a beginner like me can follow them and learn!! Thanks for the the beautiful variety of ways to play this beautiful song. 🎶🙏🏾
Thank you so much Lara, there are lots of great resources online but I've found your low-key and clear tutorials absolutely outstanding. Making good progress on an instrument at last!
Thank you so much for sharing this , I am a total beginner and am having such fun following along with your videos. They are clear and easy to follow and I am learning so much.
New uke player here. I've been working on this as my 1st song for abt a month and couldn't figure out a strumming pattern that my old, fat, stubby, arthritic fingers would coordinate between both hands. This works so well! Thanks and I've subscribed!
Love the simplicity of yr teaching, not putt ing myself down but it's hard for me teachers go fast and I can't keep up ! Thank you so much, with yr method!

@@LaraMarkowitzMusic I still can't do it properly but I've been practising the entire past 2 weeks and I think I made a progress!! it's hard to multitask especially with singing singing since it takes the whole concentration after all haha
Learning a song with only tabs and beats is one thing, but you Lara bring out the impact; the passion to which is totally deserving of such a beautiful, moving song. Congratulations!
Hey @LaraMarkowitzMusic! This is really nice. I think you’ve just helped me make the jump to ukulele. I’m a guitar player at heart (and there’s a long way to go still with that), but a ukulele makes a lot of sense when traveling by plane. I followed this by clamping a capo on my guitar at the 5th fret and it’s been a charm. There’s the issue of the octave not matching on the resultant g string, but that’s pretty minor. What’s really unexpected is that I’ve been working on Pink Floyd’s Learning to Fly and that works out almost seamlessly on ukulele. Looks like ukulele will also inform guitar playing. Subbed!
Hi Curtis, this is great to hear! I'm so glad I helped you to make the jump. It's definitely easier to travel with a uke. Thanks for subbing and have fun with the lessons 😊
amazing teacher it is great to learn the structure of this song. I pick this on my guitar but some of the chords r a big challenge for me. I think I just now b able to handle this on the ukulele with alot of practice. I love all the picking patterns. thank u so much.
When you go back up with the strum are you just hitting that c cord or all chords? Im 71 and striving to learn with my grandson that's 8. I love for channel screens thank you for putting these tutorials out here for us. God bless ❤
Hi Patricia, I think you may be asking if the upstrum includes all 4 strings? If so, all 4 strings create the complete chord, however, it's ok if you only catch 2 or 3 strings on the way up before the next downstrum. Upstrums become easier and more consistent with practice over time. That's wonderful that you're learning with your grandson! 😊
I am blessed to be introduced to the various strum patterns for Hallelujah. (I always had some issues with the different tempos present in this beautiful song) Now I know - and to start practising these with these new-found techniques before my next open mike. Thanks again.
Nice Job Lara, like the rest of your videos so far I’ve watched . I can’t believe how many variations of the lyrics there are out there for this song, but that doesn’t matter much with your teaching of how to play it. Thank You.
Hi David, when I was preparing for this tutorial and listening to recordings, I was surprised too at how many variations there were on the lyrics, number of verses, and sequence of the verses. Thanks for your note and I'm glad you enjoyed this lesson!
