    He took every complaint i had about my strandhogg and solved it.. shoulder straps were bulky, fixed it. Cumberbund was floppy floppy, fixed it. Plates fit kind loose in mine, fixed it. Rapid adjustable cumberbund in the front and added stretch from the back. Like god damn he really thought it out. Im buying one the second they allow orders again.

    Definitely the best plate carrier I've ever worn. I love it, worth every penny.

    Great review! Really appreciate you showing off all the features that Shaw's website doesn't go into detail on.

    Internal onewrap is probably to secure the piece of the shoulder strap going down behind the spider system. It would lock it in between to layers, not counting the mesh spacer.

  • @TerryWhisk
    @TerryWhisk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Those diagonal onewrap straps on the top corners of the platebag are probably meant to have the shoulder strap ends routed under them considering the angle

    think the one wrap on the top of the front plates is to secure the shoulder strap Velcro's even more?

    Do you think the sm/med ARC V2 would be able to take thicker plates? Looking at some highcom 3s9m shooters cuts that are 1.1” thick and am worried they might not fit.

    Does this plate carrier have enough adjustability in the shoulder straps for someone around 5’7-5’9 to get the plate bags high enough? Thanks

    • @2jzgteSupraJZA80
      @2jzgteSupraJZA80 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m 5’7 about 170 lbs and own the ARC V2. I gotta say although its expansive it’s hands down the best on the market and worth every hard earned dollar spent. Shaw Concepts fixes everything other plate carriers lack. Honesty something like the highly popular Agilite K-19 or K-Zero doesn’t even come close in comparison.

    Agree on the expense. I get it, quality has cost, just tough for people to justify in a very competitive market. Also wish the wings stayed like you mentioned from v.1

    • @blakerf555
      @blakerf555 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The wings are gone because now Shaw sells them as a separate accessory. Gives you the option to run it or not run it. And options are almost always good.

      @@blakerf555 what are they called because I don't see them

    • @blakerf555
      @blakerf555 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@midshippie87 the SSV2 and the ARC radio pouch. Both still padded for the body side of the pouch but also allow you to remove and replace the pouch with whatever molle pouch you prefer. They can either attach under the placard or inside of the pontoons on the ARCV2. The SSV2 is for mags or knives or smaller radios (UV5R) and the ARC Radio pouch fits larger radios. This allows the plate carrier to scale up or down more so than a fixed system

    • @midshippie87
      @midshippie87 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blakerf555 I saw those but guess I preferred a normal flap. But to each their own/giving people the option

    • @blakerf555
      @blakerf555 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@midshippie87 yeah this way you could totally strip the V2 down to just plate bags, remove the pontoons (make sure the spider system is under the sewn in one wrap) then replace the cummerbunds with elastics and have a totally slick carrier with virtually no bulk or somebody could build it up as much as they can imagine

    Shaw makes great stuff but everything they make is 2x-3x the price of everything comparable to them in quality. Which is why very few people run their stuff.
