This ambulance was a basket case at first. Someone called 911 and it got to Rob . What a splendid transformation you did. Needs a replacement front windscreen. You could always remove that and replace that part with some clear .015 plastic. I've done so on some vehicles and you would never know it was broken off . All around nice one Rob. Merry Christmas! 🎄
Great work on the restoration. Unmistakably an early Toyota Hiace. I remember these when Commer and Bedford vans were also a common sight on the roads. And the Mazda Bongo.
Great job. Couldn't see that as an ambulance until the first coat of paint. Looks great. A Toyota ambulance, never would have thought. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours. Hope you have a great one.
Wow. The more beat up they are to begin with, the more impressive the transformation. Well done, Rob. I'll admit I was questioning the white until you finished the build.
I love this casting, not cause its an 'off brand' but mostly cause its a descent casting and also its a emergency vehicle, I have a little bit of a soft spot for emergency vehicles in my collection so this one is a rated 10, even if it doesn't have a flashy paint job
As always, just brilliant. What you can do with some of these models is amazing, some other people would just take one look and call it a complete write off but you........... I reckon you could bring my great great grandmother back to life if you wanted!!!!!! Have a great New Year Rob, the family also.
Merry Christmas Rob. This former paramedic approves of this ambulance. It is different being a Toyota. In America we usually have Ford, Chevrolet or International ambulances. Came out awesome.
At 0:52, It Looked like a Middle East Ambulance that got Splattered by an American Drone or Apache slinging Hellfire Missiles as The Ambulance was attempting to save Human Lives. Great Rebuild MB.
I generally use whatever I can get at the Dollar General or the like to do the restorations I do. I not only do Matchbox but the occasional Tonka. I bought an airbrush kit but I was so unhappy with the paints that are available today after two uses I packed the kit back up and sold it. Of course, I don't care if the paint is a match or not, I use what's available for the most part. All I care about is making them nice and playable again, then I find somebody to give them to, a kid in the neighborhood or the like. Toys are to be played with, setting them on a shelf doesn't do anybody any good. I do have a certain line, from the CARS movies that I collect, but eventually I give those away too, then start collecting them over again.
Nice work on this little van, it obviously is an ambulance. The red cross symbol on the sides atop are good, you want to include them on the front and rear as well. Looks good and thanks for sharing this video. Happy New Year's 🥂🍷
Sorted that one out Rob. Never heard of Zylmex before and once you restored it, it was a nice little model. Think I said it on the last video but as you've put another one out having a good Christmas to you, the current Mrs Rob and Robs Jrs.
Another great Job Rob, I agree with you on the paint, some of the channels I follow use spray cans for their restorations and get great results. And my first effort with the Mk10 Jag was with a can of £1 shop Gold paint and came out quite good. As Marty says 'I was happy with that' :-)
Nice restoration, and the right choise to recreate the van as an Ambulance what it originaly was. The van should have little crosses at the Front and rear of the car. But ist look beautiful.
Christmas morning and a special for me Rob makeover. Never heard of this make or seen one, but fabulous makeover, great job. Wishing everyone a Happy Christmas. John in Chiang Mai, Thailand
Older vehicles just do so much better as toys. Great job.
Thank you sir for all your hard work awesome videos and amazing cars and the opportunity to own one of these cars 👍🏻🔥🤘🏻
That's a huge change! You really turned around that playworn and beat up looking model and turned it into a much better looking one. Nice job!
Those are nice wheels for an ambulance, it's definitely a pimp mobile now. Very nice restoration

Really like the way this one came out. Very unusual casting, but you did a great job making it look fantastic!
Great job. Couldn't see that as an ambulance until the first coat of paint. Looks great. A Toyota ambulance, never would have thought. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours. Hope you have a great one.

Hi Gideon, I dropped off your package to the post office this morning 😎
@@MatchboxGarage Thanks Rob, I'm looking forward to its arrival!

And once again, You nailed it, Rob. Very nice resto. BTW, that isn't tea you're drinking, it's dishwater!
Hi Rob,what a restoration, although before it was falling apart, but with the paint and blue light it looks awesome the wheels set it off.
Man, this ambulance needed an ambulance. Fine work as always. Enjoy your party! Merry Christmas!

Funky casting. Beautiful resto on this. Looks a million times better than it did at the start. Merry Christmas Rob.
Once again- a broken down piece of metal gets a new lease on life. Great work.
Happy Holidays.

Great Rebuild MB.
Proves that even complete disasters can come out amazing.
Turning the model into a Red Cross ambulance is a great idea. Simple, but it works!
What a pleasant surprise to wake up Christmas morning to a new video before the hostili...festivities begin. Merry Christmas to you and yours, Rob.

I like your choices Rob, thanks for the tips and entertainment.
Nice and sharpe, like usual. I really like it. Fantastic job. That would make a good ‘70s/‘80s party van as well.
Impressive!! You turned a wreck into a masterpiece!!! Beautiful restoration!!! 👍👍👍
Merry Christmas!!!
Great job. Thanks for showing what we in the states would call a "rattle can" paint job. You give us all a bit of hope.
Merry Christmas.
Nicely done. I like that you showed you can do this on a budget and have it turn out beautifully

Oh gosh Rob, that really turned out great. Thank you. Merry Christmas to you and your family. From South Africa
Nicely restored from a real wreck. I use Poundland rattle can primer on almost everything I paint and it's really good stuff.
Does it leave all the fine details ok?
@@MatchboxGarage I've never had any trouble with it covering details. Give it a try, for what it costs you've got nothing to lose really.
Rob that looks great hats off to ya .
Nice budget restoration. Happy holidays to you and the family.
