Stop saying Night Ranger was an underrated band. For those of you who say that, it's obvious you weren't around back in the 80s or you weren't paying attention because Night Ranger was huge back then.
I think underappreciated is the more apt description. They kind of got lost among the more flashy bands of the era and ended up outlasting most of them by just doing what they do. I do miss Jeff Watson's sound (playing his parts with a pick just doesn't sound right) and I'm still convinced that Blades bass is not plugged in, lol (I have never heard him in the live mixes).
There were not huge. By any stretch. Van Halen were huge. Crue were huge. Not even in the top 10 for the decade.

These guys are great, probably one of the best bands of the 80s , only got to see them live once and got to see Jack Blades with Damn Yankees, which also was a great band. Great music.

I went to a concert in Japan in 1985
I like hearing these performances with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra. It's always interesting how they chose to augment the Rock songs with the Orchestra. 😎 👍

Amazing! Jack Blades. I played in a cover band with him in San Diego nearly 50years ago (Lightnin'). One of the few guys I played with back in the day that "made it big"...and is still playing! Congratulations. Hope it's been a good life.

Hair nation is my favourite music station and as a teen ager I didn’t really hear much Night Ranger…. Now in my fourties’ hearing them lots on Hair Nation I’m now a fan ! Great performance!
Brad is one of the most revered among his peers, but underrated by the public.
I've had the honor of seeing night ranger...damn Yankees... uncle Ted...and Mr gillis okay with Ozzy shortly after Randy Rhodes got killed.. in Leesburg Florida.. 2 towns away

The most recent Winger and Extreme albums were really good. Winger has 4 or 5 videos out from theirs.

Brad sure is. I wonder how many people know that he was the guy called in to fill Randy Rhodes shoes after he passed away for Ozzie so long ago. He has some chops!

Saw them at the Lorain County Fair last year (2022)in Wellington Ohio and the band mentioned that they were going to play with the Cleveland youth orchestra. That is awesome. Wish I could have been there.
this album was AMAZING and that they did it with the youth orchestra here in Cleveland made it sound immaculate as anything!!!!!!

You can still rock over sixty
I have seen them live, I think twice. Once in their hay day and once in the mid to late 2000's. They are absolutely fantastic live. And this performance is just so awesome. Some of the kids in the band were singing the chorus, and having a great time. I played in a band in the 80's and we covered several Night Ranger tunes. They were fun to play and always a hit with the crowds.

Saw them years ago in 1982 opening for Ozzy at the old Boone Street Barn in Spokane, Washington.
This is probably the result of the Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw connection as Styx did a concert with the same Youth Contemporary Orchestra some time ago.....I have the blu ray release of that one.

I'd like to know if those kids dug this... or just thought it's boring old man rock music. On a separate note, that "new" guitar player opposite of Gillis can rip it pretty well.
I had a Symphony gig playing a few years back with Melissa Ethridge. Invited my stepdaughter. She said, "Old peoples music." Later she asked how it went? I said, "Old peoples music. Only 4000 people showed up." Smiles!

Living in the UK Night Ranger are a band I've never managed to see live.
One of the best rock bands ever
I was there at this concert and it was great. I've always been a Night Ranger fan but never saw them live till this concert and it was a great one to see.
I usually love when they put an orchestra with rock music like this, however live it was almost impossible to hear the orchestra, they were over powered by the volume of the band. I was hoping when they mixed it for the album that they would balance it out more so you could here the kids more. But when I listen to this I still don't here them over the band.
Still loved the concert and I will buy the cd and dvd, just wish you could here the orchestra more. On a side note my hearing isn't the best either 😀

I was in that orchestra and I don’t disagree but I also don’t agree, I think it can add to the music but it isn’t necessary for an orchestra to play with a rock band. It’s an acquired taste.
I am so impressed NR was willing to collaborate with the CYO of Cleveland, OH. Check out the Contemporary Youth Orchestra of Cleveland, OH they have been performing with Big Names for many years. Our youth need professional adults as NR in their life!

@vinceellis6018 heard about that. Apparently they have used songs on different projects. Like Styx Tommy’s sings one of those songs.. believe it’s called yes I can. The album with the carrot 🥕 on the cover.😁Pretty good song.
@vinceellis6018 From what I've heard, they basically had no time to work together and it was 90% studio musicians, so they scrapped it. Eddie Trunk has heard it and he said it sucked hard, it's for the better it wasn't released
