I had an Opel Kadett which was capable of 0 to 100 Kph in 14 seconds and went all the way up to 150 on a slight down hill.
Dann hättest Du wohl den falschen. Ich hatte mal einen Kadett der ging den Berg rauf mit 246 km/h. 🤣😋💪
I had 1985 1.6 and it did 200 in slight downhill. Pretty fast for a 1.6.

@@ck68dj verstehe ich auch nicht, habe den 1,2 Liter, den 1,4 Liter und den 2,0 GSI 16V gehabt und den 1,6 hatte mein Vater vor 30 Jahren, 14 Sekunden, so langsam war keiner von denen.
Das ist doch gar nichts, musst dir mal Ansehen was Ukrainer hier für Autos fahren

There is. But it is not ECOLOGY, but ECONOMY - cheap buid :)
I would say there is nothing "eco" about anything "eco". Here in Norway we have "eco" food produced with manure from freshly burnt Brazilian rain forest. Artificial fertilizer or cows fed with artificial manure grass is not good enough for us. Goes for the rest of EU also afaik.

yeah, doesnt seem like 1200hp at all - maybe like only in last gear, but still
also it doesnt rev much for that hp.. are they running 70psi or something like that?
@@exvils in description says 3.1 bar, it seems to be legit the speed rises really linearly
k20's run 3.1B and revs to 12k to make 1200hp
how this ecotec that doesnt have power above 8000rpm and idles at 900rpm (so it doesnt have 300°+ cam to make 300hp N/A) can make more??
@@exvils because the head of the ecotec flows better.
those heads are originally designed by cosworth for the 20xe and then went on the c20xe c20let and have been modified by opel's house tuners to flow even more on the z20let and z20xe

Kann auch sein das es am Tacho liegt, bei VW/Audi kann es beim Tachotausch sein das die Anzeige genau andersherum geht, z.B TT Tacho im Golf 3, da geht sie dann auch andersherum ( Voll und Leer sind getauscht)
The first time i let my ex-girlfriend borrow my car she called me 10 minutes after she left. I picked up and thought...ugh what now. She then asked me how its possible that the fuel meter keeps going up and up while she was driving. Honey, i told her, are you sure you are not looking at the water temp? She was like oh..nvm and hung up. True story. She was not the brightest.

I owned a very used Opel Kadett while in College..
I must say it rusted out on me before it gave out.
The driver side door just fell off one day.
There are some good stories that came with this vehicle too.

its like we swedes jokingly said about opel: "köp en opel bli belåten se naturen genom plåten" (roughtly translated to: buy a opel and be happy, see the nature throught the plating). i had a 93 astra and was one hell of a fun car, drove it like i stole it and it never gave up on me

I've owned 2 of them, wore the valve guides out so much on the first one they became a new intake , second one had so much rust the flintstones wouldn't touch it.
I had one that was pretty nice. Bought a 1985 one with 1.6 engine in 2001, when it had done 100.000 kms, drove over 100.000 more myself in 3 years and it worked just great. Only had rusted a bit in rear fender skirts.
I had an Kadett 1,3 liters. The S type. The original motor widt a single carburator. It was going 65 km/h in 1. Gear💥 and then keep full trottle. Quick dawn the clutch, then 2. Gear up to 115 km/t. And it’s was stock widt abaut 75 horses. We tested serval time from 0-100. I did that in 10 sek sharp😍💥🎶😂. I lost this brilliant car, to rust, and have to scrap it😢😢. I vil newer forget this Kadett E😍

If it had 75hp it probably was 1.6 liter

@@skrrrr129 Older Kadett E's (84-86) used the 1.3N and 1.3S engines without emissions control. Produced 60 and 75hp, later they moved to the eco friendly 1.6i kat and 75hp.
That engine would be perfect fitted to a Cavalier/Vectra GSi 4x4 where it can put all that huge 1250 HP down !
It is 4x4 driven.
I really like how smooth it is!

Too cool. I remember my "stock" '89 Kadett GSi16v with a 2.0i16v engine producing 150hp went only 240kmh with a strong tail wind and going down hill. My steering wheel looked better than his though.
My Astra gte 16v red top with the digital dash maxed out at 157mph. The digital dash would not go up any more , must have been the most it would go lol.

@@martinsv9183 Hi Martin , don't know why I put 157 meant to type 155. I had 155 out of it countless times and the speedo would not go up any more. Two of my friends had the same car and had the same top speed. 137mph top speed what it says in the book it goes higher than that and the electronic speedo does not go over 155. Was very impressive car mate.

@@rendzis er kann es abschalten so das nur auf Frontantrieb läuft.
So heizt er die Vorderräder auf und schaltet beim Start den Allrad wieder zu.
@@rendzis Line-Lock eventuell. Sorgt dafür dass die Hinterradbremse gesperrt bleibt während Vorne die Hölle abgeht. Kenne mich bei Opel nicht aus aber gehe davon aus dass er ein Mitteldifferential hat

The love i have for opel is unmatched in my opinion especially the 90s opels like the Opel Kadett superboss, Opel kadett 200ts and the Opel Astra f 200ts and then the car i would die for my 1993 Opel Astra f 1.6 8v from a standstill it can spin in 3rd gear never have i been in another 1.6 4 cylinder car that is as fast as my astra and a fun fact my astra is stock with 500k kilometers on the dash and it still drives like a dream and when doing a 3rd gear pull the wheels always break loose

I was overtaken by a Chav in one of these, what was surprising is he was 3 up with 2 girls, I was in my M5 and doing a 185mph and still accelerating flat out when he passed 😱

@@Thunderstorm500 are you sure? I haven't seen a lot of AWD doing a burnout only with the front wheels, as this guy does in the beginning of the video. Also, the way it starts, makes me think he's waiting to get some grip thay he doesn't have, as it's FWD...

Что бы кадет на моторе поехал 180, это должен быть 13s на 2х камерном карбе pierburg 2ee, и он должен быть в отличном состоянии иначе ничего не будет) На своём тоже проверено)
@@adamross537 Визуально это x20xev мотор, ставился по большей части в вектры б и в опеля годом выпуска той же вектры. Но если речь идёт о заявленных 1250нр то это только мокрые гильзы типа дартон, наверноя вся ковка в КШМ, дикие фазы ГРМ и адский наддув, короче ничего общего со стоковым мотором!

@@adamross537 Да незачто) Всегда приятно поделится знаниями когда человеку интересно! Для кадета родным бы был 20хе, они туда ставились с завода, 150нр, на редкие версии вектра А с полным приводом устанавливали турбо модификацию этого мотора 20LET на 204нр, вот что было из стоковых вариантов. Этот мотор что в видео, это модернизация 20хе, но в стоке это задушенный екологией, еграми, каталиком, более узкими фазами ГРМ, но типа более экологичный с мощностью 146нр (если не ошибаюсь), а в исполнении от деу (ставили на нубиры может ещё какие хз) они были ещё менее мощные, короче одна деградация под видом екологичности) А в этот конкретный мотор всыпано денег неимоверное количество, что со стоком не имеет ничего общего.
