    It's Day 8 of 10 Days of Thanks, Day 8 of 12 Days of Christmas, and I'm giving you a new bubble bar recipe! This one has more kaolin clay and arrowroot to help with structure for a bubble bar that can be rolled, jelly roll style.

    Soap & Clay is a family owned business operating in Washington State, but started out online thanks to Mrs. Soap & Clay's kickass brother and his amazing web design skills. The business was started as a tribute to Mrs. Soap & Clay's grandmother, the OG maker in the family that cultivated everyone's love for the DIY life. The studio/retail shop opened in 2017 on 6th Ave in Tacoma, and immediately began teaching soap, bath bomb, lotion, and scrub classes to the makers and maker enthusiasts of the PNW. In 2019, the pottery studio opened as well, making the soap shop a busy place full of artistic energy every minute of the day.
    Mrs. Soap & Clay has been featured on Business Spotlight, New Day Northwest, and was awarded a coveted place on the South Sound's 40 under 40 list in 2019, an award given to the most influential business people under the age of 40 each year. She cried when she walked up to the podium to accept the award. A lot.
    Drawing from her chemistry background and her maker spirit, Mrs. Soap & Clay infuses her favorite things into her soapy designs and creates products that are fun to see, use, and learn to make. Stick around for this ride - she'll take you on a great one.

    Your snowman’s are so cute. Their imperfections is what makes them so adorable!
    I was wondering why you didn’t add polysorbate 80 to the white layer but mentioned you did to the mica layer? Does it effect the recipe measurements when you do or don’t add the poly 80?
    Thank you!

      They’re so goofy looking and I love them. 😂 Yeah so I only add Poly to layers that have mica; the only reason I include poly at all is to help the micas disperse in the tub. So it’s not a necessary ingredient if you’re not using micas, and it doesn’t change the measurements of anything else. :)

      Oh no! Try less baking soda or a bit more glycerin. You can also add a bit of witch hazel which can rehydrate and bring it back together. Have fun!

    No cocobetaine?

    Just making sure; no cocabetaine in this one? And if so why not?

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I dunno! Was cocobetaine on the ingredients list for this one? I have so many recipes! 😂 I like to play with removing as many artificial bubblers as possible in these recipes while still getting a great end product, so it’s likely this one didn’t contain it.

      @@MrsSoapAndClay It was not on the list; Got it thank you, I understand. So typically slsa can be enough on its own for bubbling? Thanks so much for everything and the information you provide, truly a blessing and I am so grateful I found your channel. You’re also so fun!
