Recipe in video for the dry ingredients, and liquid below. As with all of my vids, they are best watched with the sound on so you don’t miss any important soapy info. The edit on this one was tougher than normal to keep that scale in frame. 😂❤️ Glycerin - 1.5-2.5oz, depending on humidity .7oz cocoa butter 1oz cocobetaine
Is it the actual cocobetaine or cocamidopropyl betaine? I just found out they're not the same 😅 can I use cocamidopropyl betaine and replace the SLSa for SCI powder?
Have you tried putting the shrink wrap in the freezer before you use it? It helps to keep it from sticking to it self so you can use it easier. Love your channel and thank you for all your great info!!!
Many, many thanks for sharing this wonderful formula. Lots of bubbles and long lasting 👏👏 don't wonder Scout loves it. Me too! I have one question and some tips for natural colour. -The question: it feels drying for my skin: Could I substitute a bit of the glycerin amount for some liquid oil? -The tips: I haven't tried them yet, but I guess they could work well. We could make a glycerine macerate with hibisco flower, spirulina, rose petals, alkanet (this I doubt if it dissolves in glycerine or not. In oil it has a beautiful purplish colour).... And use that glycerine as the glycerine of the blend (previously strained) to give some colour. We could also add some powders as cocoa, clays, spirulina again...I also had to add some more baking soda because the blend was very fluffy. Instead of adding extra baking soda, maybe some of these powders could work and besides, give some colour. Greetings from Spain. Thanks again for your great work and your videos and have the best for this 2022! 🥂
This looks like a much nicer batter than the one I currently use, so I would love to try it! However, i was trying to write it down and seem to be missing the measurement of the liquid glycerin. I checked your website but did not find any measurements there either (which I totally understand since its your shop site) any help would be wonderful! Also, do you find the stand mixer necessary? Or can it be done to the same effect by hand? Thank you for such wonderful information!
Hey! Thanks for watching! Glycerin for a batch this size is between 1.5-2.5oz, depending on the humidity of your area. I don’t find the stand mixer necessary- you can work it in by hand and get your arm workout for the day. :) The video from yesterday with the pipeable bubble bars has more information on the recipe too!
Hello. Thanks for posting the video. I would like to attempt to make these but the recipe is not readily available in this video or in the comments. What is the total amount of oz for the recipe? What amount and percent did you use for fragrance, polysorbate? Did you use Polysorbate 80 or 20? How do you use the bubble bars?
Nice cool bath in the summer is everything! I also love a hot winter bath but I dread freezing my ass off getting out so it’s usually a hot quick shower.
Hi, love your stuff! Is coco betaine the same as cocamidopropyl betaine? I heard they are different but some say it’s the same. Can you please clear it up for me?
Different, but also interchangeable. They’re both surfactants, but in recent years it’s been decided that cocamidopropyl betaine is less of a skin irritant than coco betaine. Either can be used in this application, and I actually did use cocamidopropyl betaine - I’m just an old dog that’s used to saying it the other way. 😂
Lots of good info, thank you. In Canada Smarties are something else and it took me a minute, lol. These look great! Would cellophane work as a wrapping? Is it airtight enough? I’m learning :)
The cocoa butter is definitely going to help solidify. If you swap out, I would go with a firmer butter like mango, or a mix of softer butter and beeswax.
is the additional baking soda added part of the 4.4oz, or do you add more on top of that?! ( ie does the 4.4oz get divided or added all in the beginning?) Thanks! This looks like an awesome recipe!
Hi! I’ve not had good experiences with any solid bubble bath recipes that exclude the SLSA. It’s the primary bubbler in this recipe; leaning too heavily on coco-betaine for this yields a solid bar with minimal bubbles or a sticky bar if you increase the amount.
Thank you very much for your videos. I do have a question in regards to how much polysorbate 80 does this recipe call for? I have never made a bubble bar, but am looking forward to making some for my grandsons who love bubble baths.
Poly and cocobetaine do two different things in a bath bomb recipe. The Poly isn’t needed; it’s mostly used to disperse the micas. The cocobetaine is an additional bubbler that also sort of plumps up the bubble bars and gives them a fun laminated texture.
Hello! I wasn't able to see the grams for the cocoa butter, glycerin, and the coco betaine. May you please let me know what those are? I'd love to try and make these for my little one. Is this sage for a 2 year old? I try to live plastic free and lush just isn't in my budget anymore.
Liquid ingredients are in the pinned comment and the dry ingredients are in the video! I’ve also done these a few other times on the channel and have the recipe written out in the vids. Have fun!

What a fun trick! I’ll have to try that. Thanks! ❤️
@@MrsSoapAndClay your welcome, I learned it from TikTok lol saved my life bc I hate it always sticking to itself instead of cooperating.
Super cute Scout!!❤ All of the Love for that kidlet!
Thank you for sharing your recipe. I just used it to make "Santa's Cookies" solid bubble bath. I can't wait to try my tester bar tomorrow.

Awe. Makes me remember my babies living a bubble bath! ❤️❤️❤️
Do you give the recipe or can it be bought? Thank you for the video. You make it look so easy.

OMG so many bubbles! Is that how much bubbles just 1 “smartie” will produce?!
Nice cool bath in the summer is everything! I also love a hot winter bath but I dread freezing my ass off getting out so it’s usually a hot quick shower.
I didn't know bubble gum scent ruins the color. Thanks 😊
It depends on the supplier, but I’ve yet to see a bubble gum that doesn’t discolor!

Hey thanks for watching! Cellophane would definitely work and is more eco friendly. :)
So cute! Thanks for sharing your tips!
No cause then you have to get out of the bath into the cold! Ur doing it right.
Does the cocoa butter help form it make it solid or could I use another oil?
The cocoa butter is definitely going to help solidify. If you swap out, I would go with a firmer butter like mango, or a mix of softer butter and beeswax.

More baking soda beyond the 4.4oz as necessary to combat stickiness. Might not be necessary, depending on your humidity. Have fun!
@@MrsSoapAndClay thanks! Appreciate the quick reply!
What are the liquid ingredients and proportions. I saw or heard the dry ingredients
Would adding Moes coco betaine make it more bubbly Or less like make them last longer I’m trying to decease Slsa have you ever used sci one bioterge
Slsa is sold out for a while at my store. Any chance you know if sci or bioterge s90 can be used instead and how it changes the ratios?
SCI powder can be substituted at a 1:1 for slsa.
Recipe link doesn't work 😕
How well will it cure in high humidity areas.
Hi! I live in a humid environment and have had no problems with these curing. If yours are a bit squishier than you would like, use less glycerin. :)
Hi! Can we leave out the Slsa and get same effect? Unfortunately I don’t have access to Slsa
Hi! I’ve not had good experiences with any solid bubble bath recipes that exclude the SLSA. It’s the primary bubbler in this recipe; leaning too heavily on coco-betaine for this yields a solid bar with minimal bubbles or a sticky bar if you increase the amount.
Soap & Clay ah shucks! Thank you for replying :) hopefully one day I can try this :)
What is SLSA?
SLSA is a mild surfactant derived from coconut or palm, but still a synthetic. It’s what makes the big bubbles!
Hi I love my bubble baths, so I tried your recipe. Absolutely love it, how can I make the bubbles last longer though?
Please and thank you ❤
Thank you very much for your videos. I do have a question in regards to how much polysorbate 80 does this recipe call for? I have never made a bubble bar, but am looking forward to making some for my grandsons who love bubble baths.
Poly is just used to ensure the micas disperse correctly in this recipe, so just a bit will do. Anywhere between 1 tbsp and 4 tbsp is great!
@@MrsSoapAndClay Thank you very much for you help. I hope mine turn out as well as yours.

I don't see citric acid. Not used in this recipe?
Love it! I love the bubbles!!❤❤💯
They are so cute
How do you store these? And what is their shelf life? Can they stay good out of packaging? thank you xo
Kellie Anne I think she mentions that they need to stay sealed. When the air gets to them they start to activate.
One, she is so beautiful! Two, it's her name actually Scout? I almost did that with this babe, but she's going to be Sterling instead.
I know a little girl named sterling, and she’s delightful. ❤️ Good choice! My second kiddo is Scout, yes.

Hey! Sorry about that - this batch had .7oz cocoa butter and 1oz of cocobetaine. Totally safe for kiddos!
Any way you could post the full recipe in a comment or in the description?
Liquid ingredients are in the pinned comment and the dry ingredients are in the video! I’ve also done these a few other times on the channel and have the recipe written out in the vids. Have fun!
How much FO?
Standard percentage rates based on the fragrance you’re using. :)
Can you substitute something for slsa?
I’ve never been able to make a good solid bubble bar without sci or slsa; just don’t get the foam I’m looking for without a surfactant of some sort.
@@MrsSoapAndClay thank you! 😊
You said 4.4 oz of SLSA - what is SLSA??
Approx how many oz in each smartie.?
Hey! I wanna say 2oz each.
@@MrsSoapAndClay thanks for answering! ❤️
Nice!
Reminds me of play dough like
Very pretty little girl smile
why don't people just buy biodegradable and compostable 'plastic'. If I can afford it, I m sure they can!
So many good options for eco friendly packaging these days!
