I was physically & mentally abused by my high school boyfriend. I literally had an experience just like the OJ on the football field situation. My ex was playing football & would look up into the stands to see what I was doing. Apparently I was talking to some guy (that I didn't even recall ) & lost his mind after we left the game that night & were alone. He beat the s*** out of me. He was so abusive & it took me a couple years to get up the nerve to leave him. He would threaten to kill my dog if I would leave him. I could go on & on. It was very scary. My dad had died a couple months before I met him & I was emotionally very fragile. I would cry for my dad because I knew if he was alive he wouldve killed this guy. It never would've happened. I had to take care of it myself. But I made it.

Yes , kudos , good job . But how about the other side of the medal ? In this murder story everybody is guilty . OJ alone or with someone else or not OJ but just someone else killed them . OK, who ever did this is bad , we get that and OJ has abused wife , OK , this is bad too. However , nobody wants to say that victims were not so good people either . Everyone wants to create some organizations etc for fighting domestic violence , abuse of women blah blah blah . Why nobody ever wants to mention how about raising children , especially female children right way , so that when they grow up do not jump on men just because they are rich, do not sleep with the guy same day they meet him for first time ? How about teaching your daughters that if they get divorce and especially have children not to sleep with many different men, drink, use drugs , drink and get drunk , get in argument with husband and then after some time blackmail him to get money for drugs and instead of keeping photos in safety box go to police press charges and sue the violent spouse or ex-spouse ? In Western countries everybody knows how to blame guys only but nobody cares what their daughters are doing . Children turn 18 and they are free to do anything they want and no parents interrupt saying : Oooh they are adults , they are responsible for everything themselves and they can go around do whatever they want to do . Nicole was not a good mother as media and people keep saying and Ron wasn't a good guy either . They drunk, used drugs like cocaine , slept with different people , loved to spend money all the time and wanted to have luxury lives only , their friends were not from very good, religious or scientific backgrounds either, all of them just sex partners using alcohol and drugs and God knows what else ..... Both victims' parents and sisters should have worried about them way earlier than murder took place . As long as they had money , nice lives , entertainment nobody cared if son sells drugs or daughter is on drugs and so on and so on. Sometimes it is only in person's hands to get bad end or not . They chose the wrong life styles from the very beginning . Period .

@glampreda3803 She was 35 yrs old in 94 and had an equivalent PHD in observing & indentifying sociopath/ psychotic obsession up close, first hand & personal With that intense course comes a type of thinking that is pure strategy. A game of mental chess. I've never had the kind of money that affords me a 5 grand rental or a fur coat. However, I would surely give that up & live in a box just to retain a lawyer & hidden cameras. I'd have security. No matter how famous, rich, or charismatic he is , he could have been checkmated. I understand she feared losing her kids to him cuz he had the money. Documented encounters mean so much in these circumstances. A well thought out plan needed to be put in place and it was not. Also this; yes 17 is an age for being naive & falling hard. 35 is an age for being smarter & thinking quicker. I do not make this comment without being in the same situation once upon a time.
      - This edit is to clarify that she did not have an actual degree. I said she had personal 1st hand experience that is equivalent of having a degree. Although, OJ paid for the sisters' college.

This comment is IMO only. I believe with Domestic Violence the problem is not so much " it's all his or her fault, but rather if one continues to actually have a desire to want to be around a person that is abusing them, it really speaks volumes to the insecurities of said person. Codependency is a "need" to control, and if one is willing to allow another to abuse them, in order to obtain that control, well, it's now called Domestic Violence. Thru the years I think all of the world has come to love and want the best for the victims families, I think Denise is such a beautiful soul and I wish her well.

The fact is, OJ bought Nicole a house in her own name (worth $1m in today's money). She before the marriage. She could have walked away with it and never looked back, but she didn't. And Denise was beneficiary, as well as the whole family of hooking up OJ. ⚠️ She wrote to OJ in 1993 after they split asking for them to be together again. Denise is a decent woman. But I recommend to you to watch Johnnie Cochrane's opening statement in the trial. He details the amount of lavish support OJ showered on all the Brown family members. Cars, houses, cash, tuitions, jobs (including Lou's dealership with Hertz, OJ's sponsor) ...etc. Then he details and rebut the stalking after divorce narrative. He bought Nicole her Bundy house in her own name. And he earlier bought her two condos (one to rent in SF, and one in Orange County to vacation in). Gave her extra $40k a month just for food. Caught her having sex with Keith, then showed up the next day at Bundy to tell them his children were sleeping upstairs and could have seen them. .... I mean he just goes on and on about OJ. ...I don't know, this whole motive thing is weak.

Since then I helped and supported few more snd i took out myself of few. Narcissistic abuse is the hardest one imo to detach from and that we did not know as much as these days.

Now she didn’t say she didn’t want to raise a gay boy but I know many gay men who work construction - they work on asphalt all day , worked on my 150 ft driveway - leveled and put asphalt down staring at 6 am and finishing at 6 at night . I feel so sorry she lost her sister that way , so public . Her face still shows the sadness stark look in her face . The trauma of losing a loved sister to being slaughtered so violently has and understandably still with her . She’s learned to live with it one can’t accept and be as happy as before . My wish for her is to have as much love in her life she can accept. Her sister is waiting in heaven and when they meet again she can finally be at peace . I feel for her even though I have no experiences like her . OJ was damaged pychologically mixed with cocaine . Drugs absolutely escalate any defect in character in those that use and for those that enable those who use . At any situation violence can erupt when the cocaine user feels boxed in .

I just finished reading the book by OJ's former agent, Mike Gilbert, called How I helped OJ get away with Murder. He contends that the entire Brown family knew that Nicole was being abused by OJ and they did nothing to help her. They didn't try to convince her to leave him. They didn't change their tunes until after she was murdered. Even A.C. (Cowlings) said under oath that Nicole had told him that she feared her family would side with OJ during the divorce. I feel like the truth is somewhere in the middle. They liked the access to fame and wealth OJ brought too. But they also didn't like how he treated her but didn't say anything during his bad behavior. If they were so close like she contends how could they have NOT known??? Of course they knew... even still it's very sad. RIP Nicole
