Welcome to This is a Commander Channel’s comment section, this is a viewer and today I’n going to be commenting about tough realization that This is a Commander Channel has a real world job. 🤣 Great list and great video as always. Happy New Year, TIACC!!!!
Oh, and I think my favorites have been your steps to casting a spell videos with the order things happen and how you can "kill" your creature twice to cast a spell because of the order costs are paid
@@heitortremor Yeah! They can be pretty sneaky. We get so used to casting things and they go so smooth 99.9% of the time, but there some really tricky things out there. I did like doing the Convoke one.
@@heitortremor Mutate is so cool. Based on the sets we have this year, we might could see it come back with some X-Men cards, that would be super flavorful, but outside of that I don't think so. Maybe 2026.
Heh, part of that is because I too like content that is more simple, not a lot of flash, but also part of that is because I'm a noob at editing. I don't know how to make all those cool transitions and flashy animations.
I don't know why, but the episode on those Enduring enchantment creatures really stuck with me. I didn't think they would be so complex but you just kept churning out more scenarios that surprised me.
Thanks for all the videos. While I rarely play any more, I really enjoy learning about all the weird rules quirks, even the ones that are really unintuitive. I think you do a great job of explaining complex interactions in an understandable way.
@@petersullivan9559 Well dang, that is super cool that you just love to get into the brain puzzle of it all. I hope you'll be able to play more often sometime in the future and you'll be prepped for any crazy situations that come about.
Niche channel but one of my favourites indeed! Nevermind lots of people liked some dumb fake news reel, we love your content man, also you nailed it rules-wise! I really like the Layers videos you make, but I love the more weird fringe cases you sometimes present (the one about clones, the one about Blighsteel colossus, the IA one was hilarious). Your content is great man. Carry on strong! Kudos from France.
I've got a lot more fringe case videos planned for this year. Cards that do unique things that no other cards in Magic do. And with the billion sets releasing this year, I'm sure that I will have some new ones I don't even know about yet.
I always enjoy your episodes on nonbos. It is helpful so that I can help people at my LGS to not run mistake cards and I have helped a few last year, like the guy that brings things back as golems.
The one on Rain of Gore and lifeline really messed up my brain. I get that it is similar to the Doubling Season of caring only about spells and abilities, but lifelink not being the ability that gains the life and it is actually just the damage, it is so strange.
I tell people about your channel but they often say the stuff is too complex. They're not wrong, they are the more complex rules but that is just how you get better and get used to them. Best of luck in 2025!
@@TheAlcoholic83 Thanks! I appreciate it. I know this channel isn't for a lot of players. Not every Magic player wants to get that invested in the complexities of the game. So that's all good.
As someone who is just getting into Magic, do you suggest I start at the very beginning of your videos, or is there another specific video you recommend starting with? Happy New Year! 🎉
@@mirrorsedgegirl5265 Congrats on getting into the game! My videos have no real rhyme or reason for their upload order. I do hope to upload some that cover more simple and basic rules this year.
Could you explain Tasha's tidebinder and kalitas traitor of ghet in a video? I think someone might have mistaken his replacement effect as an activated/triggered ability at my LGS.
Oh dang, that Tishana's Tidebinder is a solid card. Very cool effect. It reminds me a lot of Green Slime as a sneaky little Stifle type card. And yes, I do plan to make a new series, might be titling it along the lines of "Know the Difference" in which I cover things in Magic that are similar, like the difference between Activated Abilities, Triggered Abilities, and Static Abilities/Replacement Effects on permanents. Last year, I saw soooo many people think that Bello's ability was a Triggered Ability and also a ton of people didn't know that killing off an Omo would shut off their Everything Counters. So Static Abilities have been confusing a lot of people and a lot more. Hopefully that series helps out.

@@mimiklureaegis9906 I love it! Glad you enjoyed the list and happy New Year to you as well!
Your channel is one I really appreciated this year. Thank you for all the work you put in to share these with us!

Oh, and mutate is my wife's favorite mechanic. She loves to explain it to people at the game store!
@@heitortremor Thanks! That means a lot and I always appreciate your comments, I love getting to reply to folks.

I appreciate this channel so much. It isn't clickbate or hype or anything like that. Simple editing and straight forward. Keep it up!
