I purchased this AWE Cat-Back Track Edition from CJ's [GOOD PRICE!] and researched price and bang for your buck. And if LOUD is what you are looking for? Then this is the one! Took only 30 minutes to install. Love the sound, not much drone, just go normal mode and up shift sooner lol. Coworkers with STI's and EVO X's like it too. HOLY Gun shots! Tools used: 13mm, 15mm, 16mm, channel locks and SawzAll. It's too bad though we have to cut the original pipe😒. Be safe out there folks.
@@rachelwoods6943 more pops and bangs when you rev. More grunt when you mash on the throttle. I LOVE it 👌😎💖Sport, Track and Drift modes really sets it loose.
most of the vids having bad mics with really bad dynamic range, the pops through the mic are really limited and bad quality. You should hear that in person it sounds completely different
If I didn't buy the Full Race exhaust system, this would be my next choice. Sounds really good. It is very comparable to my exhaust when my valve is open.
olMack Hi! I would be interested in the exhaust system you have. Would you mind showing a couple of videos? So I take it that your valve works, is it “alright” to cold start it in the neighborhood at night?
Does anyone know what would happen if i put this on a Focus sedan? Would it fit? How would the sound differ? I know the rear bumper would have to be edited.
Ian Pender so many reason why it wouldn’t work. If you want an exhaust get one for that car or just go get one of the mufflers cut off, that’s the most price efficient.
I love this exhaust, sound is deep and powerful. On a side note. Anyone know if a bad cat converter and/or access port can blow up an engine. Mine did at 34,000 miles and Ford said I wiped the memory, it was over fueled and denied all my claims. Now on the 2nd engine, just over 1,000 miles under her belt and am getting the same errors and engine light coming on..."cat efficiency below normal", "random misfire"...etc?
There is a lot in this question; a tune CAN cause engine failure. Was it an off the shelf tune? Unfortunately, with known head gasket issues the tune could have been fine and engine failure was inevitable anyways.
I got my catback beginning of December and honestly I'm pretty disappointed. While it sounds good under load, the second you let go of the gas it drones extremely loud. I am not sure how this was overlooked. I've had much louder exhausts on other cars consisting of straight pipes and have never experienced such a pronounced drone on deceleration. Makes me not want to downshift at all, not to mention on the highway you have to be on the throttle lightly or else the entire car drones almost the point of vibration. Honestly wish I got the ETS catback considering the resonator is better suited for removing drone on theirs. Unfortunately now I will have to spend my own money modifying this current catback to try and make it more tolerable
For anyone still considering purchasing this, I have the Track system and my neighbors fucking hate me. To the point of threatening to vandalize my RS. Just keep cold starts and early mornings in mind - I'm going to purchase a SwitchPath and try to sell my Track edition.
yup newly installed exhausts can smoke and smell pretty funny.. especially if you use some copper paste or some other stuff to seal off the connections
This from a CRX driver? I've heard quite a few tuned CRXs over the years, and the sound of the RS beats them all. A Honda short stroke 4 takes some serious engineering to escape weedeater territory.
I like the deeper and boomier sounds. Those crackles are just amazing!

Does it sound weird when its in track mode?

Do you the AWE Track Edition exhaust?
@@Parallax62 me?
@@rachelwoods6943 yes, just curious.
Those pops sound wicked , haven't heard pops like that before, interesting
Canuck Canadian you should heard it in person

I get a smile even while listening to exhaust crackling on a video... 😅
Pretty sure this is the exhaust I'm going to get
Evan Fineblit same here bro
sounds exactly same than stock

I am about to purchase one for my RS. have you heard the difference between with and without resonator? Not sure which way to go yet...
Nice! Looks like a great system!
In terms of overall loudness how does this exhaust compare to the borla attack?
They are very similar in sound level. I haven't heard them side by side but I would say volume is about the same.

Ian Pender lol
😶

Ik this post was 5 years ago but most likely because there was no back pressure for the turbo and you ran rich and leaned her out

Hey so I just bought this exhaust but I have a used RS that didnt come with a factory DP clamp, where can I get one?
Ford Dealer is your best bet.
I cant tell if its the mic on the camera, but this sounds muffled and worse than just a muffler delete.
Go watch UCARS video on this exhaust system it sounds unbelievably good in his video
Like the pops!

Any chance of this fitting on a 2016 Focus SE sedan?
Ian Pender yikes
I'd say touring edition sounds better than the track one.
wassup with the black smoke? that cant be good
BPMSoundsMusicandTV the black smoke is most likely from the oil residues from the metal being burned off.

"orientated"
Still sounds like trash

Kevin John exactly. I love the sound of rhe rs
Sounds like a hater to me. Best 4 banger iv herd. Probably the only one id buy.
Anthony Ortiz he is a hater.. this sounds good
Dude has a video of "eBay parts". Congrats, you are a tool.
Thats cool and all, but get real silver exhaust 👌
