I dont know the reason but the endurance of my battery has signiiiiiificantly increased after a few days! I would say 50% more than on the first 2 days. Don't know if Google did some calculation in the beginning or the battery optimiziation kicked in, but I am really more than happy!

Adaptive Battery. These reviewers keep neglecting to mention it. It's almost like they're under informed about the tech they're reviewing - or they just assume everyone in their audience already knows about such things.

I get the same as MKHD when outdoors but on wifi a lot better. So I suspect it is related to using outside where yo;u have high brightness, 5G and use the camera. If watching YT on wifi with 20% brightness then of course you will get better battery, but as all other test have showed, even then it falls behind other phones.

The Pixel 6 Pro is more than just the camera's. You have to use it as a daily driver to really understand the quality of life features on offer -- it is a VERY complete device. The camera's and video playback compete with the very best, the live translate and speech to text are without true competition, and it can game pretty well. Where it fits in those categories and how YOU value the various strengths/weaknesses in comparison are individual valuations. I for one like the manual control and optical quality of the Xperia 5 & 1 series cameras better; however, the Pixel cameras are very good and the xperia falls short (of pixels) in the overall software experience (IMO). Good review.

Currently have a Note 10+ but am considering to upgrade to either the Note 20 Ultra 5G or the Pixel 6 Pro. Both are similarly priced and features are similar. The pixel probably has better software for the camera but the Note has an SD slot and a built in wireless stylus. Not sure how big of a difference it makes but the Pixel has an aluminum frame whereas the Note is stainless steel.

@Trebor Z The battery is excellent and the camera is really good as well. Im using an s10+ since launch, looking for a new phone,
Was eyeing the pixel 6 pro, hoping that it could go toe to toe with my wife's iphone 12 pro max in the camera department.
But sadly its got some further software refining to do before it becomes a must buy.
plus with the fact that google doesn't officially sells their product in Malaysia, and we have to buy it at an inflated price makes it even tougher to recommend.
I love the design when it first leaked, but now, somehow it looks kind of dated.
Hoping the next pixel would bring some much needed innovation

Does it have IR blaster (remote control)? I see something at top at 1:11, but is it some mic hole or IR blaster? I really like my IR blaster as remote at Huawei P30 Pro and I really constantly use it as remote. (actually all my phones last 7-8 years had IR blaster, so I am so used to it ... I may just skip Pixel 6 Pro if not have one)

Pixel 6 can't casting or wire into your TV unless you need to spent more money into a comparable duck TV HDMI to Diamond and Diamond into USB c wires.

I have just read on Verge that since update to Android 13 people have been having problems with wireless charging. I myself have not actually have not had any issues. I use the NOVETE charger which has a built in fan which is very effective for cooling and charging. I have updated.

I'm definitely disappointed in the battery life.. I upgraded to a from a moto power to a G6pro and within taking a few photos and watching videos I had to put it back on the charger in 4 hours 😩..
Maybe the pro is a little more demanding but it's quite disappointing that my old phone has the same size battery and I can watch and take photos 8 hours plus...
I work 10 hour days and on Sundays I pretty much watch videos all day at work on my old phone and wouldn't have to charge it until I got home..
The 6 pro definitely not doing this.

Battery Life depends on usage. You can have a smaller batter and get more life than a bigger battery 🔋 just depends on the usage.

Can anyone recommend a light android phone, with around 150g-160g weight? With a height of a maximum 6.0 inch as well? headphones jack is a must too.
Been looking for one. Only so far that fit the requirements is the Google Pixel 4a. Is that the best phone that suit my preferences?
Will be upgrading from an iPhone 6s that can only hold a full charge for 1 hr.

I'm very happy for Google pixel evolution and own chip. Big fan. Personally I find both models too big. I have a P3 and P5. I think a sweet spot for compactness is around 6.1 inch. I hope Google do not leave the contact size market behind, Apple didn't. Besides 6.1 is a pretty decent size screen. I'll wait to see what P7 brings. Hopefully a return to Matt finish on the back. sigh... Another year wait

Yeah one thing I do love about pixels on the resale market as you can get a Pixel 3A or a pixel 3 for 75 bucks. Nice as a secondary device, especially if you have a big phone
