Instead of a mixture of hose clamps and AC beadlock fittings commonly found on aftermarket A/C kits - use crimpable heater hose fittings. They are available from several A/C retrofit companies and are a great way to avoid using hose clamps and make your firewall look nice and clean. Or you can easily hide them inside a fender or way up underneath a dashboard like we have on our LS swapped 1963 Buick Riviera.
Just as an FYI these fittings are actually the slim or reduced barrier AC hose fitting if you're having trouble find them. These fittings are the best thing I've found instead of hose clamps and they look great too!

Great video. This is exactly what I’m wanting to do. I’m having trouble finding them. Do you know the part number or have a link?

They are hard to track down because so many things come up on a search for “crimp heater hose fittings”. Here’s a link to the company I always buy mine from. nostalgicac.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Crimpable+heater

What die do you use for 5/8 heater hoses?

Just standard Gates heater hose - don’t use their nicer green stripe or whatever it is they call it. The diameters are different. Just the regular stuff at O’Reillys works best.

Thanks for the load! And the new lights look great. How do you like them? Do they put out enough light?

I LOVE THEM! I was worried they’d flicker or have refresh rate issues on camera but they are solid performers and plenty of light. If I was to do it again I might not do the perimeter rectangle, it was a pain to keep it straight and square but they light it up so well on along the walls - so catch 22 haha. I also think hexagon pods around a larger garage would be awesome. Here the link to them, they were on eBay.

Could you better show how this connects to the heater hose connections coming out of the firewall?

They are amazing! They light the garage up without being blinding - I’m actually making a video about them that’ll release soon. But here’s the link to their eBay listing.

Why not just use two or three hose clamps and tighten them down? Easy and cheap, no special tools are needed

Nothing wrong with that and most of the builds I just use that but nothing wrong with something that looks clean as hell and is a couple dollars more.
