something good to know if u have steam installed and a game file get corrupted while updating then that can break your system. so what i would do is uninstall the game with the corrupt file. you can tell if it’s corrupt if it sits a 100% download but it never finishes. so uninstall the game through steam or windows uninstaller.
Omg thanks man the same thing happened with me today and I was wondering what was wrong and why my pc won't shut down
I uninstalled all my games and steam and now it shuts down properly
If I already uninstalled steam, should I just redownload it? Or am I able to see which game corrupted my computer through the computer settings?
@@Kooldood. delete steam and reinstall
That was my problem with payday 2, thanks
@@fjso2 same game lmao
Thank you for this video, I’ve been trying to fix it for hours. Turns out I had to change the power button options. You’re a lifesaver.
I flipped the switch to my power supply to off and let it set for 5 minutes. Problem solved. I tried all the other power management and driver things first. The simple solution was all I needed. Lol. Thank you!
Wow you fixed my such stressful issue with ease! Thanks so much man for sure getting a sub and like
Yours is the only video that i looked at that works- option 2 & 3. Have subscribed. One less stress.
Thank you so much 😁.
I was so scared if it not works but solution 2 helped me. Thank you!
Really appreciate your video. It was very, very helpful and fixed my computer's problem. Your technical solutions are working for the Windows 11 version as well.
Thank you for your support to Recoverit.
None of these worked and the safe mode option froze my computer in the middle of it shutting down. My problem is that it gets to the point where the screen shuts off but the lights never go off and you can still hear the hard drive running. The only way to start it back up is to hold the power button down until it fully shuts off then turn it back on.
Same here, any fix yet?
@@itachisvaccination3123 Im having this problem for more than a year, i just pull the plug, but still bad to the drive

Theres actually no use of like unplugging the wire for the pc u can just hold the power button untill the ps shuts down, then after it shuts down just turn it on again and shut it down. If it shuts down normally fully then ur good

I remember trying to disable fast startup on my PC but when I did disable fast startup - after shutting down my PC - the PC would then power itself back on again. The PC would do this only moments after being 'shut down'.

Step 1: Open the Settings menu > System > About. Step 2: Choose Related Links and tap on Advanced System Settings. Step 3: Under the System Properties sections, go to Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Settings. Step 4: Then, uncheck the Automatically restart choice under System Failure and press OK.

Using the balanced power plan, display off 10 min and computer sleep 15 minutes but recently it stays on and doesn't go to sleep. Is this what your video addresses?

Would using solution 4/5 actually damage my PC if this is the primary method for shutting down the PC each and every time?
Don't understand, as of tonight it just randomly didn't shutdown, didn't see it try to, went off to do something, when I tried to open the windows shutdown, nothing would open, folders onnpc would, but task manager or anything for Windows wasn't, then it froze?
Its works even for 11 thx so much 💖💖
Thank u. !
Followed most of the the suggestions, in the end had to use the cmd prompt, but, now win 10 will not start, any suggestions?
My work laptop has said issue. It's very odd, but I'll try these methods.
Oh god🤦🏼♀️ none of these solved the problem. but thanks for your useful video
Thanks
I will have to try this tomorrow, i am already really stressed and ended it just cutting down the power, last windows update give me this problem, the pc shut down normally but the fan of the cpu keeps running, and time to time the red light of the cpu being use turns on, i don't know why they give us problems and more requirements for things we don't use instead of improving performance, i am really tired...
Thanks bro 🎉❤
You saved my computer from getting Buchered and sold, am grateful
thank you very much i had consulted 30+ websites and even had microsoft support help me out but your video did it for me at option 2 (i had quickboot disabled but that was all disabling all of them did the trick)

Many of these are ways to get around the issue, and are not fixes.
