  • Pad see ew recipe (ผัดซีอิ๊ว) - How to cook authentic Thai stir-fried noodles
    Pad see ew is the perennial stable food for the Thai’s. It is one dish that is easy to prepare, as there are only a few ingredients required, and the cooking is simple.
    See Ew is phonetically similar to the word for soy sauce in Chinese. Not mistakenly, it is a fried noodles dish prepared with soy sauce.
    It is as simple as is described, but you need to pay attention to a few points to make an excellent pad see ew.
    This video explains each ingredient and the steps in detail.

      I live in Malaysia, a country next to Thailand. Hence I can get it from any local grocery shops . If you are outside of Asia., try at any Asian grocery shops .

    This recipe was absolutely amazing, I'm very fortunate to own a high pressure wok burner for home use. The higher temperature really caramelized the ingredients. Thank you for sharing your video.

    This is the closest I've seen on TH-cam of the Pad see ew I get at my favorite Thai restaurant. Makes me appreciate the effort they put into it and say 'it's worth the $7 bucks to have them make it" Good video thank you

    great video - very clear explanations; for the sauce why not make one batch and divide into two? :) (being a little facetious on that one)

      Haha you're right. Some good business hawkers do make a large batch to speed up their work.

      Thai bird’s eye chilies are the best. Otherwise, chili flakes work too.

    Thank for your recipe! I really want to make it at home but I am afraid of buying all the ingredients because I cook once in a while. Is there any all-in-one sauce?

    • @TasteofAsianFood
      @TasteofAsianFood  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I live in Malaysia and have not seen any all in one sauce so far. Check it out at your local Asian grocery shop hopefully; it is available there.

    This recipe seems to be the most authentic. The last recipe I made did not use sweet soy sauce (ketjap manis) or fish sauce, nor did it explain how to fry the noodles. I'm trying this one tomorrow.

    Can you cook this dish without the vegetable as I have an allergy to broccoli?

    • @TasteofAsianFood
      @TasteofAsianFood  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use choy sum to replace broccoli which should turn out well.
