- Pad see ew recipe (ผัดซีอิ๊ว) - How to cook authentic Thai stir-fried noodles
Pad see ew is the perennial stable food for the Thai’s. It is one dish that is easy to prepare, as there are only a few ingredients required, and the cooking is simple.
See Ew is phonetically similar to the word for soy sauce in Chinese. Not mistakenly, it is a fried noodles dish prepared with soy sauce.
It is as simple as is described, but you need to pay attention to a few points to make an excellent pad see ew.
This video explains each ingredient and the steps in detail.

One of my favorite thai dishes, never tried making on my own but now I will have to try
So glad that you like the Pad See Ew recipe. 😊
I will try your recipe tomorrow. Thank you .
Thank you for explaining the cooking in different stages of heat. That was very helpful.
I hope the video helps you to make and enjoy the pad see ew. Cheers.
I live in Malaysia, a country next to Thailand. Hence I can get it from any local grocery shops . If you are outside of Asia., try at any Asian grocery shops .
Looks Delicious
Thanks for this recipe. I have watched many versions, but this one seems the most intelligent; the steps seem to guarantee success, can't wait to make it !
Thank you for stopping by at this video. I hope you will enjoy it.
yes, i like the method section, great info, thanks.
HI James,
Sure I will do the same kind of explanation for my future videos.

Thank you for this video. I want your wok! I am currently looking for the noodles as I live in NC!
I made this recipe. It was very good. Thank you!
Thanks for watching and trying out the Pad See Ew recipe.
This recipe was absolutely amazing, I'm very fortunate to own a high pressure wok burner for home use. The higher temperature really caramelized the ingredients. Thank you for sharing your video.
thank you.my favorite thai food from china
This is the closest I've seen on TH-cam of the Pad see ew I get at my favorite Thai restaurant. Makes me appreciate the effort they put into it and say 'it's worth the $7 bucks to have them make it" Good video thank you
Thank you. Hope this video is useful if you want to make the pad see ew yourself.
$7?? I pay $12...where do you live? I am in Columbus Ohio
It’s a great dish. We pay $25 Australian here in 2023
Oh, so yummy!
Yummy. Thank goodness there are tons of Thai restaurants here in Los Angeles and Orange County. No need for me stress out shopping and cooking Thai food. I love all Thai food.
I’m going to try to make thi a this weekend
Thanks for watching and hope you will enjoy the Pad See Ew.
great video - very clear explanations; for the sauce why not make one batch and divide into two? :) (being a little facetious on that one)
Haha you're right. Some good business hawkers do make a large batch to speed up their work.
Thanks for helping out! Winston-Salem, NC
eh I miss winston. The Basil Leaf? Great place.
I'll try it sooner or later. Thanks!
I made I ate I liked
Can you please tell me from where you buy the fresh rice noodles as you shown in this video? Thanks
I was able to get them at a local asian store; the ones I got are chow fun noodles
Merci pour cette recette. What Can we add to get it hot ans spicy plz ?
Thai bird’s eye chilies are the best. Otherwise, chili flakes work too.
Thank for your recipe! I really want to make it at home but I am afraid of buying all the ingredients because I cook once in a while. Is there any all-in-one sauce?
I live in Malaysia and have not seen any all in one sauce so far. Check it out at your local Asian grocery shop hopefully; it is available there.
Oh I see. I thought you are in the US but thanks a lot for your quick response :) again thanks for your beautiful recipe!
The secret of this cooking is use the high heat all the process and make it quick
This recipe seems to be the most authentic. The last recipe I made did not use sweet soy sauce (ketjap manis) or fish sauce, nor did it explain how to fry the noodles. I'm trying this one tomorrow.
I enoyed your instructions and recipe. I love pad see ew. I sent you messages on your website. I am looking forward to your answer to my question. Thanks.
Can you cook this dish without the vegetable as I have an allergy to broccoli?
You can use choy sum to replace broccoli which should turn out well.
Is this noodle the same as " chow fun" noodle?
It is the Vietnamese version of chow fun.
Is cornflour, cornstarch?
Cornstarch
Microwave the noodles for 10sec and it’ll be easy to separate by hand
Thanks for the tips.
Hello what are the measurements?
You can get the recipe from my blog post tasteasianfood.com/pad-see-ew/
The chinese vegetable is calling Kailan.
