I told my dad to teach me manual... I proceeded to drive the car home 8 hrs with 0 experience. Stalled on train tracks, stalled in a police station, stalled on 63rd, stalled in Sunny Side. I don't think he loves me but a memory I will for sure remember.
Maybe not buy a Mustang that was abused. I'm not sorry. Everything you are dealing with is 100% your own fault. I've owned 9 Mustangs now. Never had any issues. 8:21
Man I feel the same way when I bought my 03 mach1. It had a burnt valve so its been in the shop for 3 weeks (hopefully I get it back this week) my dad taught me how to drive manual and it was such a fun experience learning and I'll never forget how proud he was of me when I drove it through the city and traffic without stalling or any major hiccups. Yeah I could have bought a newer stang or another sports car but I wanted something older, manual and a more raw driving experience (also because I got it for super cheap lol).
9:00 , i couldnt agree more. I got my manual 4.6 2010 for that exact reason. Its far from perfect and not the most comfortble car. But it has soul and i love driving it every second.
Yikes. My 3v never had issues like this. I bought it stock with 98k miles 6 years ago. Only time it had issues was when I worked on the car and didn’t do it right 😅
Well generally the coyote is considered a pretty bulletproof engine but first gen of any car will have its issues. 3V have had a long time to become pretty reliable, good purchase bro
@ don’t sweat it man! I work in local 3v’s a lot and I’ve had a the occasional one with lots of issues too. Usually higher mileage cars that weren’t treated right. The gen 1 Coyote is a monster and is pretty reliable, whoever had your before you did most likely didn’t take care of it. But I think you still made the right choice
Jeepers, that exhaust sound at the end! So good. I hear you on the "dream car" bit. I purchased my first proper hot hatch about a year ago; a 2018 Honda Civic TypeR. I dreamt about owning a WRX STi or something similar for so long, though after much research and shopping around, I settled on the TypeR as it just offered more than any of its peers in terms of reliability, practicality and driving pleasure (and it hasn't given me a lick of trouble since purchase). It's no V8, which I would love to have one day, thought it certainly ticks most of the boxes for now. It's just such a pleasure getting into this car every day and I don't think I'll ever sell it if I can help it. Will see what my next car will be once this guy's paid off in a few years. Perhaps a Mustang 5.0 Fastback Bullitt. Keep on truckin'. 😉
I've been planning on saving up the money and buying myself a metallic gray 2014 5.0 for my 25th birthday. Except my current car, a 2013 Hyundai elantra has been breaking down more and more recently to the point that I'll probably have to look at getting another boring sedan to get me through the winter months soon. If i lived in a place where it didn't snow, I'd be happy to drive a mustang year round, but up here, you pretty much need a second car. To drive in the snow both so that you don't spin out and wreck your fun car, but also to save your fun car from the road salt rust. Me buying another winter car to replace my current crummy one would legit set me back to zero, so more than likely, I'm just gonna have to get a 3.7 V6 and live with it until I'm like 45 and can afford an actual 5.0.
Exactly why, even though I coud have got a gen 2 or 3 coyote for cheaper, I got an S650 MT and am going broke on mods getting the car ready for boost. When I'm done it will be a comfortable boosted V8 MT street monster for the next 10 years or more.
my first car was a 2010 v6 mustang automatic, always loved fast and furious and cars and all the others, just like you i chose for my next car to be a manual v8, i wanted a 2001 svt cobra but i really liked the pre face lift s197s so now i got a 2007 shelby gt (not the 500) its only 319 horsepower but that short shifter is so fun (yes the check engine lights always on and yeah it has a bad computer getting that fixed now) worth it 100% i hope i can hook my little brother on them
I’ve owned 2, first was fully modded I loved it but had to let it go, second I’m paying rn but doesn’t give the same feel, looking to pay off and resell asap sadly I want more
Interesting, when I rented a 2014 V6 Mustang back in April, it also kept going into limp mode and I also had to turn the car off and then back on to make it get out of limp mode
I want a 2010 GT. Yes, the 3 Valve S197. I love coyotes, don't get me wrong. I'd prefer an S550 like anyone else but, I know that 2010 will warm my heart with the Tremec 5 Speed. OUUUuuuu, stop playing! A spicey 300 from factory too?!
What a joke. You're comparing a $100K Lexus to a Coyote Mustang that can be had for $15K. I'll tell you what, you can go get you a brand new Coyote Mustang with a dealer installed Whipple kit and a warranty all for just $60K and walk that Lexus all day long.

@@-beebo yep. Car decided it would be a funny joke to randomly get overheating issues right next to the HHC sign

Yeah as soon as he presented the car i was like, " why didn't you buy a clean one?"
wow man, i always loved this generation of mustang, hopefully one day i can get one to enjoy

“Challenger🗑️, camaro🗑️, mustang🏎️” im dead😂😂😂
v8 rwd first car is absolutely good, just get winter tires for the winter and you good. 100% safe with trac ctrl on, and 100% fun with it off.

Why a 5.0 and not a 4.6?
