      Arnie is no Daniel Day Lewis, Anthony Hopkins, Denzil Washington etc and T2 isn't on film critics top 100 movies of all time.
      But I was a big Arnold fan when I was a kid. Saw Terminator 2 when I was 11, definitely one of the best sci-fi/action films of all time.
      Such a pity the Terminator 2 4k blu ray was a turd! I'm still rocking my T2 limited edition THX dvd.

    I would have lost a bet. I would never guess you could run 4 subs off ONE breaker!

    • @Pitchcut29
      @Pitchcut29 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The front subs may be using a bit more power due to OK placement but the subs in the rear are placed in a spot that provides the best frequency response so there is a ton of impact without requiring a ton of power. Placement is very important which is why I can apply a +16db bass curve while listening above reference all on a 20A breaker. Than you for checking it out!

      @@Pitchcut29 What are you running the LFA adjusts at? I have 2 4000-tl's and i have both set at 8/10 clicks, and gain at 5/20. I blew my 20amp breaker with only 1 sub connected to it when playing madmax, cant remember the scene. I also have the HTP-1 and had a 6db house curve via dirac. I was only at -3db on the HTP-1. I was also running the BEQ filter for madmax. Not sure if maybe running that BEQ caused too much draw at the lower frequencies causing the breaker to trip. My other sub was on a 15amp circuit. Both tripped at that time. Only the subs are taking power from their respective circuits.

      Thank you, Jay! The HTP-1 handles all of the bass management on the subs via Dirac Bass Control. The miniDSP, which was hidden in the back of the rack, will be used to tune the Crownson MAs since it offers a bit more flexibility with lower crossover settings and slope settings.

    • @Youthman
      @Youthman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No special deals. Jeff has very little markup in his products. There are several reasons why half of these guys on JTR. The main one is when they do these home theater crawls they get a chance to experience JTR’s first hand. It doesn’t take long and they begin heading that direction. That’s exactly what happened to me after my first visit to Wisconsin and heard JTR. Completely next level than what I had previously. The other reason is Jeff used to have his headquarters in Wisconsin, so they could pick up their speakers and save money on shipping. All of his speakers are extremely heavy there for shipping is quite costly

    • @Pitchcut29
      @Pitchcut29 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! Sometimes there are deals on demo models and some small discounts if you buy multiple speakers/subs. Most of this was piece buying over a period of 3 years. Since JTR was originally located in IL and then WI, it was easy for locals to drive over to some of the JTR GTG Jeff had and listen to the setups which is probably why most of us has opted for JTR. They are just that good!

      The difference is JTR is focused on performance, not aesthetics. I have owned B&W and have heard a $100,000 B&W system and ai would take Jerry’s setup any day of the week.

      I like B&Ws, but I much prefer JTR 212s over B&Ws - even the top models. B&W is good at marketing, though, using premium sounding materials like diamond tweeters and Kevlar woofers. The 212s measure better and have much more output capability. The truth is that some of the best woofers are made from paper. Stiff and lightweight.
