I wish for us to have a balanced world. For only balance is sustainable, being out of balance is always expensive at some/somebody's cost. And balance brings harmony - just like your approach to restoration. A balanced approach between conservation and renovation - bringing new life to these objects that bring joy and harmony to the owners! Please keep going.
I have watched all of his videos, some 2 and 3 times. I never gave it a thought before, but you are correct. A Perfectionist. His meticulous attention to detail is why he is the only restoration artist that I watch intently (the others: I FF right to the finished item).
I truly love that you ever put a channel up on TH-cam. I don't know what made you decide to do so, but I'm so glad that you did. And you are my favorite because you were an absolute Master Craftsman, who is very particular and your transformations are stunning and skillful. I love watching you take something and restore it to its former glory or even better than it ever was. This was a perfect example of the extent of your incredible skill set. Thank you for letting us watch .
Thanks! My inspiration was fellow Estonian DIY Donn, who also has YT channel. He spoke in TV show about his channel and how he makes enough money, doing it as a job. I thought, if he can do it, I can too. Funnily, years later, I was in the same TV show, talking about my story.
I learn so much from you each time another video comes out. You restored this dresser to perfection, and now it is beautiful and usable again. You are a national treasure--I hope your government realizes that!
There's a saying here in the US that goes, "I could listen to him read the phone book." I feel the same way about watching you repair and restore furniture! Your skills and talents are simply incredible!!! This vanity was already a work of art. You made it absolutely exquisite!!! Can't wait to see your next project!!! Cheers from Virginia, USA!!!
I love watching your furniture repairs. It’s so soothing where you don’t have to think about if you had a bad day you just get so into it you’re amazing.
Yay, the music is back! What I love about your work is you take the time and care to lovingly restore these pieces of history as if each one was your own. These days that is very rare.
This is the finest example of true craftsmanship. Ahti can be proud, his work speaks for itself. Thank you for sharing with us, these views into your shop are truly amazing.
Love love the return of your opening music. It matches your videos so well ❤ It makes your videos very unique and even more special. Your work is so detailed and you are so much of a perfectionist and I highly respect that about you. This was another incredible job ❤
Your attention to the details and the care you take with each piece is to be commended. So many people go for the easy way to fix things. Many times they erase the history of the item because of their lack of experience.
I really enjoy watching you restore these pieces. It fascinates me the way you get things done. It is a great learning experience for me. We have some people here in the USA that do these things but on your level. Thank you for sharing.
Every detail redone with amazing skill. Using the wood shaving to increase the diameter and make a secure fit was great but the skill I'm always amazed by is your matching the colours.
It’s such a beautiful piece! I’m so glad that there are craftsmen such as yourself in this world that can bring these ‘antiques’ back so they can be used for many years to come… I think of these restorations as your pieces of art..
The colour matching makes the whole thing just that much better. And the planing of curls to glue around the mirror uprights was the icing on the cake. Ahti, you are simply the best.
Marvelous! Special thanks for controlling the volume on your power tools. It's a pleasure to hear the sounds when you work without wincing every time a loud saw starts up.
Amazing job. I learned a new trick on how to fix the wear on a shellac finish on some drawer fronts! Thanks for that :) Also, excellent colour matching.
Your work is the difference between a repairer and a restorer, as I have said to you before. The art of the restoration is to make it appear no one has touched it, very masterful!!!
What a gorgeous dresser. Ahti, you are a magician and so much fun to watch. I always wonder how you are going to restore so many problems, and voila, you make it whole again. Ready for the next 100 years of use. Thank you for sharing this beauty with us all.❤
What a beautiful vanity and you are a true Master in wood. Start calling you the wood whisperer, a patch here, a sliver there, and a good squish over there and the beauty shines through. You are truly Amazing with such wonderful antique furniture. You have a wonderful Holiday season.
Thank you Ahti! This is such a beautiful restoration, which I expected. The few minor corrections you made are a definite improvement. I really like the hardware you chose. You really respect the tree that gives up its life and the carpenter who gave of their time. I appreciate your shared knowledge.
So satisfying to see such impeccable workmanship. I was particularly impressed by the use of the birchwood shavings to hold the the mirror spindles in place!
I sometimes wish you would talk in your videos, but it gives me a chance to focus on one thing rather than multitasking. Your work is so great, I look forward to each one just so I can see what kind of magic you come up with next!!!
Ahti, you should make a painting of a forest. It would probaby look more real than a photography. You are not only master of restoration, you are the true master of making anything like real wood. I am always astounded by your nearly 100% colour matching choice of the staining.
Oh my, you did an amazing restoration on this vanity. Such perfection on each detail you did. This piece reminds me a bit like East Lake. The handles were a real beauty. This video was above n beyond a 10. A true master craftsmen you are!! ♥️♥️🥰👍🌟🌟
Oh! Wow! I'm in love! This piece is so beautiful. All of your excellent talents were showcased in this restoral. I am always amazed by your color matching skills and how you bring out the beauty of the wood. Thank you for the video! I feel like watching it again and again! I hope to see more of you in the coming year, if God wills.
It is truly wonderful to watch a master at his craft. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I have learned so much from watching your videos. You are amazing!
I'm new to refinishing antiques. What makes you decide on which glue to use. When I think it's hide glue, you use a different glue. It's a gorgeous piece, and you did it justice, bringing it back to life.
This piece came out beautifully!! I was so glad to see you are wearing a respirator when you mix ammonia and hydrogen peroxide because that produces toxic fumes!
@ATRestoration Yes exactly. I was referring to putting them together. Separately they're not that bad, but when you combine them they can be dangerous.
Write your new year wishes here!
May the coming New Year bring you prosperity and good health. Cheers!
More videos for the New Year would make things very nice. Love and peace for the world.
Yes
Happy New Year, Peace on Earth! Looking forward to your next videos!

Your eye for colour-matching new wood to old stain continues to amaze me! Another great project, Ahti!
This guy leaves no stone unturned. He's a true professional, but also a perfectionist.

@@ATRestorationgreat story!!! I started selling on eBay inspired by TH-camrs
Your skills are just impeccable. I could go on and on, but your color matching is just perfection.
Excellent again. You have a real touch for blending the repairs, making them nearly invisible.
Stunningly beautiful, excellent restoration 😊

In my humble opinion, this is by far the best furniture restoration channel on TH-cam. I always look forward to the next video.
Realmente o melhor! ❤
Who here likes the video before it has even started?
I say oooh at restoration!!!
I did. I knew what to expect.
That would be me.
Yup, me!! 🥰

True mastery of a profession! Gluing the shaving around the dowel was just genius.

Sound logic in motion Mr AT. Extreamly good job along with those many layers of shellac.👍👍👍🎉

Outstanding, as usual. Quite the "restoration " specialist.

Beautiful job! Need to remember that solution to fill in the holes with wood scraping, that is seriously clever
Thank you so much for posting!
Great job again Ahti! The rejuvenation of the shellac finish was interesting to watch. Always learn something from your videos.

J'ai particulièrement apprécié l'idée de mettre des fines bandes de bois pour caler les supports du miroir.

It’s always a pleasure to watch you work, and the result is always amazing. That tip for cleaning stained and soiled drawers was excellent.

Beautiful piece of Craftmanship.
Sometimes no narration is good. Beautiful work. Thank you. Brooklyn.
I'm new to refinishing antiques. What makes you decide on which glue to use. When I think it's hide glue, you use a different glue. It's a gorgeous piece, and you did it justice, bringing it back to life.
Lovely! Just lovely. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
This piece came out beautifully!! I was so glad to see you are wearing a respirator when you mix ammonia and hydrogen peroxide because that produces toxic fumes!
Hydrogen is not toxic, but ammonia is, when you inhale a lot of it. Hydrogen is even used for cleaning the wounds.
@ATRestoration Yes exactly. I was referring to putting them together. Separately they're not that bad, but when you combine them they can be dangerous.
man, you're just a genius .... happy newyear !!!!! in 2000 years they will find this furniture, and they will say: waaw, this was craftmansship !!!!
