Seeing you say "quitting", I first gasped, and then took several moments to reflect on what your channel has meant to me. What you have done here has given me such joy and appreciation for all that the Amalfi Coast is and will forever mean to me.
My wife and I stayed in Praiano for 5 days in May, 2015. We both agreed that the greatest single day of our married life was our first full day on the Amalfi Coast when we walked Sentiero degli Dei from Praiano to Positano. Little did we know what the future would hold immediately after we returned home. I learned upon my return to work that I had been laid off after 21 years with my company (the announcement was made while I was still on vacation). Then, in March of 2016, at age 48, my wife was diagnosed with a rare cervical cancer. She died 8 months later. When COVID hit two years later, one of my only refuges was your TH-cam channel. It helped me relive what was without question one of the happiest times of my life, something I was (and am) no longer able to do with her. I have found it impossible to impress on people how important and sustaining my memories of our Amalfi Coast vacation are. It was the pinnacle of our life together, and to lose all that I knew and treasured about my life in the few short months that followed, I will simply never understood.
Thank you with all my heart, Nicki, for the gift that is the memory of the best week of my life with my best friend and soulmate, my late wife Rhonda.

Thank you Steve for your story. It bought me to tears as I know exactly what you are talking about. From 1992 I lived in London with a Jewish lady who loved Italy. We travelled together to Venice and to Amalfi. It was the happiest time of my life and I would dearly love to return. However watching the Positano Diaries are a weekly connection to happiness. Blessings to you Steve.

Carlo’s mother is beautiful. She reminds me of my mom when we got her ready for a special occasion. She enjoyed being pampered and felt beautiful. As she said, these women grew up in an era where makeup and fussing over themselves was definitely not a part of their lives. Taking care of family was always more important. ❤.

Wow she looked so beautiful. I loved how natural she looked not too made up. The food was fabulous. When I was in Italy, I was so surprised how much I ate and drank and never gained a pound. Fresh foods and no preservatives. The US is trying to kill us with all the chemicals. Hard to avoid all of them but I try.

Nicki is very English even though she has lived in Italy so long. Also she is from a filming professional family whose standards were probably very high. There is room for both of you on the diaries and in fact it enhances them having such different people presenting it. The best is when you hug each other and show everyone you are in love. Your drone shots are amazing so you have a good skill there Carlo. We love you both and it doesn't matter to me what language you use. Just thank you both for sharing with us. 😍

Your a happy man, with a gentle and pleasant soul one in which is happy and content with your family, pets, the ocean,, your gardening, food enjoyment, the friendships you make in town, your long time friendships, walking and exploring the hills. Your English is wonderful! For those that are learning to speak the Italian language, you speaking Italian is more than welcomed! Both you and Nicki together have showed everyone what your place in our world is all about, away from the tourist videos that are only interested to bring tourism to Positano. It shows us real life in all the above forementioned. For those that may be married your videos show how combined interests and talents along with much love can make for a happy, long-lasting marriage. Carlo, you are never boring! Please keep filming. It’s fun for me to figure out what you’re trying to say when you mix up the words in English. I got a minor in Italian in college, and I did a semester abroad in Firenze, so it’s a delight to listen to you speak English. You’re very good! The Italian mamma we lived with all those years ago could say just one phrase in English: “Good morning, Richard!” lol. Don’t give up. I love the videos, whether it’s you or Nicki talking/filming. And I adore Holly and Indie and Skye…everyone! I love the whole crew.

My Sunday tradition is “travelling to Positano “ after we have lunch. I absolutely love today’s video. I think we got two for the price of one! Yes, you both have different styles and it is that what makes your videos even more enjoyable. I love when Carlo speaks italian. And no, I don’t speak italian. I put the automatic english subtitles because I can understand english. I don’t know if TH-cam lets me put spanish subtitles. Never tried. But I would watch it even without sound. There is so much expression in your eyes and smiles and what you show us that I just enjoy what I see. The views, the plants, the dogs, the houses, the food, the family. I love it and appreciate all your effort into making these videos!!!

While I have given up watching all other YT channels I used to follow, I continue to look forward to and watch your videos with interest every week. Carlo, I am encouraged by your progress in learning English enough that I plan to learn another language. Thank you for another glimpse into life in Italy-----but I still want you to make a video demonstrating how you trellis lemon trees in Positano. I am English and Italian, living in Germany. I moved here by chance in mid 2019. Then stayed.
I went to an adult school to learn how to speak German which is very very difficult. I would not be able to make a video in German and express myself like I can in English. English is strongest language. My mother and family were born in Italy.
We are all a jumble of languages from around the world.
It is great that Nicki is English and Carlo is Italian. That is the charm of your videos.

I remember about a year ago when Nicki was understandably burnt out and wished to go be with her father. I wrote in a comment that she could do that and she can get other people to make videos for her. Carlo, Sky, and other Positanesi can make videos and they all benefit from the platform Nicki has built. It’s inspiring to see the ways you’re developing your content to serve both yourself and your loyal fan base.
One just has to love Carlo - he does so well in supporting you - both of you are so lucky to have each other!

I loved your video Carlo. I love the scenery. I got to come to Positano twice back in the 2000's. I met a wonderful Italian gentleman named Carlo also and had a very romantic time with him. We rode on his scooter from Sorrento where he lived and still does, and hiked down to the D'Adolfo Beach I believe it was called. Then I took a boat back to town. Every time I see your beautiful town those wonderful memories come back. I am 76 now so will not be coming back again. I will relive through your wonderful videos. And your English is awesome. I noticed when you were taking drone footage that Indy, when she is in the lead, will stop about every 20 feet and look back to make sure you are still there and not get to far ahead of you and Holly. How sweet is that! You have done a good job of training her.
So happy to see Tomaso again in the video. Also, this is probably the first time that I see Carlo's mom that clearly in the video - she is so beautiful! Last but not least - Carlo's "speech" is always interesting, whether in Italian or English

Carlo, you're just as charming speaking broken English or romantic Italiano. Nicki has taught me a lot about cooking Italian style and I love how you work together and you're considerate of each other and accommodating to your kids in having time with their mama and papa. I wish I could speak Italian I love Italy, particularly Positano and Tuscany. As I am disabled, I get to experience these places with the two of you. And every now and then I can understand a word here or there in Italian, as I'm from South Florida so I know Spanish and they are both Latin based languages. I love watching you make the soap and other things you do. Tending the olive trees and gardens. It's life the way life was meant to be.
