OMG, Carlo is adorable at the beginning of the video! And you can tell he is a home town guy from just the interactions he has with everyone in town. He is respected and liked by all it seems. And that dimple when he smiles and flirts without realizing it is what makes him him. And his English is fantastic when he is able to tell you the word in English. I think he is trying to pull a fast one. You have a keeper with him.

Just YOUR daily life is SUCH a relief when I am having a bad day...it probably doesn't seem so to you...but a little place ANYWHERE with chickens and gardens and pets is a dream come true for many of us...

In Maori culture 'Tūrangawaewae' is the place we feel empowered and connected. 'Tūrangawaewaea' are our foundation, our place in the world, our home. From Salzburg In 1975 we just graduated and our class took a trip to a small village near Positano called Massalubrense. We were 20 young blondes and the first evening at our hotel at least 35 dark haired Vittorios und Giuseppes and Lellos turned up. It was a blast, best time of our lives, so far. This channel brings back all the memories and more and makes some of us considering taking a car and coming back. Maybe even this year in autumn?

We love when you stop and talk to the neighbors. People don't do that enough. I'm ready for life in the slow lane and enjoy things like that. Maybe a good idea for a vlog would be lessons in Italian language. Duolingo only does so much! What things do you notice people try to say in Italian that they always get wrong? What are some common Italian phrases?

My (Italian) DH always says when someone mimics you it’s bc you’re doing well. What these scammers are doing is very wrong but you’ve caught them and warned us.

Carlos just made my day! It is 12:50 am in Texas. I left my work a few hours ago and it was a bad day for me but, as soon as I saw him I laughed so hard. He looks hilarious! I just found your channel two days ago when I watched the ‘how did I end up in Positano’ video. This is the third that I’ve watched, and I’ve smiled the entire time while watching all 3. Your videos make me remember why I love Italy so much, and especially the Bay of Naples and Positano areas. The people are so warm and understand the value in taking the time for small personal interactions. That this area is so amazingly beautiful and has incredible ancient ruins and museums to explore doesn’t hurt at all, of course! I returned whenever I could (every year or two) as a young-ish adult for a couple of decades. I haven’t been able to visit since the mid-nineties, but watching your videos takes me back and I thank you so very, very much. I also live in a beautiful place (sparsely inhabited area of coastal Northern California), but there’s no place like where you are for living amongst people who understand how to make the most of the small joys available to us every day, if we pay attention to them and take the time. I have watched quite a number of your videos, but not this one before. It is a treat to hear Carlo’s story. I had already watched the video of your story on how you arrived and stayed in Positano.
A visited Sorrento and Amalfi about 10 years ago. I will never forget how experienced bus/lorry drivers in that area have to be. Amazing!!!
