Welcome back to Tamriel with us ❤ Listen to Fantasy Keys piano covers here: ffm.link/fantasy-piano Apologies for no lofi content in a while - make sure to stick around later this week for a new adventure in another ancient kingdom... 🐛🪲🗡
if you never posted this I never would have found Fantasy Keys. TH-cam recommended this because I listen to lofi, and maybe also cuz I've been listening to a lot of dark academia playlists. thank you so much for this playlist.
I think I might actually relate to that, you captured it really well. It is sad on one hand, but on the other I am grateful that I experienced it at the age I did.
For me it's a combination of setting and background soundrtracks. The music was composed by Jeremy Soule which I consider one of the greatest musical geniuses of our time. None of the tracks he composed feel boring or out of place, and they always hit perfectly whether you're exploring or fighting. And the setting... I could write a 100 page essay on the setting. It's a magical world built around ancient norse mythology as well as being filled to the brim with folklore. The map is tiny but they managed to make it truly feel like an entire country. And the artstyle was so good that it still looks visually stunning today, 13 years later. The skybox is the most gorgeous and awe-inspiring I've ever seen in a video game, which adds to the sense of wonder and mystery. This was Bethesda at its absolute peak and I really had hopes it was only going to get better from there.
my wife (huge skyrim fan) insisted on walking down the aisle to the Streets of Whiterun. It was so beautiful that no one knew it was from a game. Listening to your cover of it while at work. I can't wait to go home and see her.
It pains my soul to hear this cover played in a way that truly exemplifies the beauty of this game. I can recall the countless times my dad would call me out for dinner (I would always come out later) or come in my room and say, "You still up huh?" The adventures, converstations, the dreams...man...this game. Now the reality, Im grown up and over a year ago, I lost my dad to a heart attack. I never got a chance to say goodbye. I just have memories like this, but I am torn because I only dream of the adventures and converstations I could of had with him now.
I also lost my Dad to a sudden heart attack in late 2023. We didn't game together but he had a famous line he would often say when I was younger and had a friend over. "Don't make it too late boys". It always was too late when he said it so it became a funny, affectionate memory for my friend and I. Look after yourself 🙏.
It’s cold but not dark. Quiet but not lonely.. Peaceful but not depressing… This video and all the videos on this channel are equal parts nostalgia and serenity!

The community of others who love this music for the same reasons as you is larger than could imagine. Any of us would be happy to call you friend and help you if you needed it!
Skyrim kinda is a point and click just with better graphics! It isn't really an immersion RPG, it definitely isn't a FPS/Combat driven game, it isn't a sand box / open world any more than a King's quest.... I never thought about it till now, but an on-rails diologue and item based simple puzzle solver and exploration game.... skyrim IS the latest manifestation of Sierra's legacy, rofl!
"A nord's last thoughts should be of home." - Ralof 4th Era I feel like an old, retired Dragonborn while hearing this. Living in my manor that I built by myself, with my favorite female follower, living together in there.
I remember walking along the map. Exploring and seeing that arch! Solitude struck me like nothing I have ever seen in a game. This makes me remember. Thank you!
thank you for this. i've been going through alot lately. this playlist takes me back to 2011, staying up late and wandering skyrim. those times were simple. no responsibilities, no wife, no kids, just peace with my game. thank you my friend...i think im gonna load up my modded skyrim tonight
Having 4 young children (which I love) but not having the spare time anymore I used to have I absolutely feel this. Skyrim and Oblivion music instantly transfer you into another world
Me as an old Dragonborn say with Serena on our porch in my manor I built with Inigo and Lydia sat beside us with the kids playing together. This is what I imagine playing.
Love your videos, they’ve gotten me through a lot of tough work days and study hours. These piano arrangements are awesome and simply beautiful. Been playing lots of Skyrim lately with our first baby, staying up all night with him to let my wife sleep. When he dozes off I play Skyrim, it’s a special feeling him in my arms right now listening to this music as he falls asleep. Skyrim really has been a part of so many people growing up, so heartwarming to know the comfort that the game brought me when I was in a darker place has music to help my son sleep
theres something about those first 4 notes in secunda that sends me chills and i love it. its always been one of my favorite skyrim songs. i loved playing at night, and hearing that song came on just made life, even for just a moment, peaceful. well done with this, seriously. subscribed!
Today I was hearing the OST again...I feel so emotional today because 3 months ago my brother died suddenly for unknown reasons...I'm a paramedic, I treated him the day he died and picked him up to the hospital here in Mexico knowing that there was nothing to do, but I tried...in the ambulance, I hugged and I said to him "I love you bro, please don't go"...he was an organ donor. The process here in Mexico is so horrible when it finished I could just say..." I see you in Sovgarde dude...I can't follow you there, there´s a place just for heroes like you..."..this is one of the most valuable games and Music that we bond us as brothers and companions (my sister include)... I was in the forest just some days ago....we always wanted to go to the forest...then I put on my headphones to listen to Skyrim music...I was broken there...Hoping that he was there to see and hear too... I miss him so much and it hurts when I think he's gone...this sunset gives me peace and at the same time it reminds me of our days together....happy with life to give me a brother at least for 28 years...
Ancient Stones makes me feel like a little kid again.. I was still learning so much about myself when I put all those hours into this game.. Thank you Bethesda. Thank you Jeremy Souls. And thanks to whoever remastered this music too 😅 I miss those times. Someone else said it was perhaps the last time they felt young and maybe that's exactly it..
That's just what I needed to relax, study, play, chill, sleep and literally anything... I can listen to it all day through out all my works Thank you so much for this awesome masterpiece bro🔥
Ohh I LOVE this so much, especially "From Past to Present", I want to experience again the feeling of exploring Skyrim for the first time, worry-free, immersed and happy
Lofi, now piano? I love what you guys do; to keep things short Skyrim just came in the right time of my life to be considered more than a game, and so, hearing these soothing variants help add motivation and life to quotidian tasks. Also, will this be available for download like your lofi songs? I read the attribution instructions and stumbled upon the wav files and sort of-with guilt-used them to listen locally via other music players. Thanks for what you guys do again
I think the Dragonborn theme is the best one of this mix. Its such an iconic tune and it translates to piano so easily. Both haunting and comforting, makes it feel like a old Ghibli movie or something.

Beautiful. Is there any way to buy the sheet music for this?
I'm not sure why Skyrim has such a special place in my heart. It might be because the time I played it was the last time I ever felt young.
😀👍
Only way I can describe it. Skyrim feels like home.
I think I might actually relate to that, you captured it really well. It is sad on one hand, but on the other I am grateful that I experienced it at the age I did.

Lost my dad to strokes over a year ago... My gaming memories all started with him so I feel what you feel. It does get better.

This guy made another banger while I was thinking that nothing could be as good as the lo-fi Skyrim
F**king nailed it bro🔥🔥
13 years ago, this day Skyrim was released ( then re released, and then again...)
Still. It is good to be back to Skyrim.
happy skyrim day!
I totally forgot its birthday was two days ago! Skyrims a teenager now!
damn that makes us... old.
13 days ago, OPs comment was posted. Time for another round

The artwork in the video makes it look like if Skyrim was an old point and click from Sierra in the 90's. Looks very nice.
Oooooooh, Sierra!!! Golden Age of gaming. I miss the old Sierra Era.

How curious. I had the same impression with Sierra, Funny to read it in the comments.
I always get chills when I hear 'Secunda.' It’s so beautiful. Thank you, subscribed

As a fellow composer and songwriter who is a massive fan of both Soule's work and your piano arrangements... Just WOW
