Sometimes im homesick for Skyrim. I lost my parents young and lost myself into Skyrim to drown the grief. When you hear insane stoies of people playing the game 12 hours a day or even sometimes more, I'm one of them. It wasnt healthy, but it was better than the alternatives. I didnt drink, do any drugs, I finished highschool, and I'm still alive. And sometimes I miss skyrim. It feels like a home that was never real. I pretend that I remember the cold wind on my skin. I pretend that I can remember the smell of the forests. I pretend its a place I truly knew. I found peace in that place. Its as real to me as anything else.
I hear you bro, my childhood was a little rough and I dealt with a lot of bullying and abandonment issues but skyrim was a place where you truly felt special and it felt sweet and rewarding
What amazed me the most along these seven long years, is how every player felt the same deep, intense nostalgia of this virtual world we all crossed in. Making it as real as it could be.
I'll never forget first booting up that game and taking the walk from Helgen down to Riverwood. It was the first Elder Scrolls game, and really, my first true open-world RPG. I'd seen nothing like it before. It was only PS3 quality but man, the pine trees and the birds, the wind, the ambience. Ralof telling me about Bleak Falls Barrow. Sven's mother yelling about the dragon. The world seemed so very real.
There is so much character in everything that is Skyrim! I think this was one of the last passion projects, where so many of the details were connected to each other to really transport you into this world! I remember my first playthrough, I hadn't played in such a large world before and never a fantasy game before either. As soon as Ralof saw that i was awake and started the movement Tutor, I just held my breath. And before I knew it, it was night (IRL) and I had played 13 hours straight ready for more! I think it says a lot that most players, will only mod the graphics or add a couple story mods to the game. Nothing really changing the core game. Bethesda, if you manage to pull off this same miracle with TES:6, you might be forgiven for Fallout 76...maybe lol
skyrim.... the game where u felt like such a small human being in this big and mysterious world, and when u thought the game couldn't be better they throw a whole new twitst in it ...... it was great and still is nostalgic to this day.
Until now, nothing like the Ultima 7, 7.5, 8 and 9 children! You are toο young to remember it of course, but perhaps you heard about it from your parents...

Its crazy how talented Jeremy Soule is; how he manages to evoke both the mystical and yet the familiar in the same composition. The elder scrolls and neverwinter nights are two of the best game scores I've come across
When I was a kid, I always wondered why people got so nostalgic over video games that they played a while ago. I played Skyrim on release when I was 10, and now 9 years later I finally understand why people treasure games they grew up with. I'll always remember Skyrim. Period.
I could just imagine what missions await, what dragons to kill, what Jarls to talk to, many others too. It made me cry because so much emotion and nostalgia came in on me and hit me like a semi-truck.
It's almost amusing how quickly a soundtrack that's ingrained so deeply in my brain will take me back, and I'll suddenly want nothing else but to be venturing across Skyrim for the very first time again. It's those memories which are so full of love and wonder that are being played back to me, and all of us listening. This game is undoubtedly going to be a part of me forever.
I remember sitting in the sofa when I was a little child. My dad had just got this game from his co-worker as a gift. I sat there and watched him play this game for hours upon hours every single day. Skyrim has inspired me my whole life. A beautiful game but more.
11:30 this is beyond beautiful. The music, the scenery, it is perfection. Even that thunder, unreal. What a masterpiece. Thank you for taking the time to make this and upload it for us, we truly appreciate it.
Skyrim. You had an impact in my life beyond belief. You were there on my ups and downs, happy and sad times. It feels scary to believe that it has been so many years since my first adventure, first time I arrived at Riverwood. Heck you weren’t just a game. You are way more than that. You were the best game my laptop could run in a city where I was a stranger. Yet you made it feel like home. So many friendships made, so many forgotten. Loved ones came and left some still remember. You were to me what alcohol was to others.
You're welcome! :D These videos _are_ monetized (in accordance with the copyright holders' policies of course), but the only intrusive ads enabled are the ones at the start of a video.
Jeremy Soule has had an unlikely impact on my life. His music is so inspirational and motivational. When the Dovakhin theme starts playing during my workout, I literally lose all sense of pain and fatigue. How is that even possible???
Flint Westwood Morale Often in war back in the day music was played to bolster the armies and intimidate the enemy. Just like wrestlers and UFC/boxers.
That, my friend, is the spirit of the Dovahkiin flowing through your veins. The stories of long-dead Nords flooding into your mind, and the skill of the Redguards entombing itself in your muscles. Seize such power.
Wish Breezehome was my real house! Love the atmosphere of Skyrim. So rough, sincere and beautiful. I often find myself longing for a good adventure or a quiet time on a mountaintop in my daily humdrum and frustrations. In Skyrim we are all great. Thanks for uploading this and other wonderful pieces! Sky above. Voice within! Thank you!
I play on vr with surround sound headphones, and this game has about put me to sleep several times. not from boredom, from the peacefulness of certain areas
I was peacefully studying but then I end up crying hearing every piece of music that gives me so much nostalgia. I can't believe we grew up so fast. Everything just seemed like it happened yesterday
Everytime I listen to Skyrims soundtrack i always get flooded with Nostalgia and it makes me tear up. This game will truly never die in my heart and in my memories.
The combination of the rain thunder and Skyrim’s beautiful sound track makes for a true comforting and relaxing video that no matter how many times I listen to it it never gets old
Please please please if these videos are ever removed from TH-cam, please repost this whole series again. I listen to them LITERALLY every single day on my work laptop to relax while I work and to help my one year old sleep. I always listen to the video that corresponds with the time of day/weather at that moment. You have NO IDEA how much this has helped my anxiety. You're a modern day hero!
Oh my, right now, I am studying for my college entrance exams. Anxiety has been looming over me like a shadow in the last weeks and I feel like, at any given moment, I will break. In the past two years, everything has gone wrong, and I can only express my gratitude to my partner for being there for me and helping me persevere. I can only wish to you, whoever is reading this, that you may find the strength to push through whatever comes at you. Keep going, fight for your ambitions and never let go of your dreams. Unlike in Skyrim, you only live once, and only you can make it the best experience possible. Make mistakes. Meet new people. Never stop doing what you love.
I was 12 or 13 when this game came out. I remember seeing the trailer where the dragonborn is running and being blown away, by the graphics, by the atmosphere, by the story, by the unbelievable music. I asked my parents but we didn’t have much money so I couldn’t get it at the time. My mom would give me a dollar everyday to get something at school, bless her heart, and I saved for about a month and a half. The wait was completely worth it. The world is welcoming and enthralling. You get a sense you have been teleported to a very real magical landscape, where you are the mythical hero of yore. I’ll always love this game, the people that created it, and everyone that experienced this with me. Skyrim is in our hearts, forever. ❤️
The fact that this video doesn’t have any ads dispersed throughout, gives me hope for humanity. This is my last resort for if I can’t fall asleep and that’s because it always works. And now that I’ve moved to LA, it’s really nice to hear rain again. Thank you for the video. What a tremendous idea this is.
This music is so nice. Living in the rainiest part of my country, I often take walks in the rain. It’s so peaceful and helps you clear your mind and just be in the world in the present moment. This is my favorite thing to listen to during those walks. Hope you all can find a time this music benefits you!
Very relaxed. I don't usually watch/look at the videos that accompany ambient music as I'm usually doing something(or nothing) and just listen, but I loved glancing back from time to time to see the different rainy places of Tamriel - Skyrim. Thank you for your efforts \o/
I just love how Skyrim simply lets you get lost in their massive world to do whatever you want. Do the main mission, or stroll off into a random bandit's cave and find out it has one of the Orc's legendary weapons. Skyrim is a game that I will never forget and always love from the bottom of my heart. People say that music and youtubers had helped them get through tough times. For me though it was to play Skyrim, to lose myself and not worry about anything else as I venture into the wild and every changing world, of Skyrim. Can't wait for Elder Scrolls 6. I'm gonna pre order that game and play the shit out of it immediately. Then get mods to make it even better, Bethesda, please don't let us die hard fans down like Battlefield V did.
also replying to an extremely old comment and honestly, with how gaming is nowadays, I wouldnt be surprised if TES6 is a complete shitshow full of micro transactions and bullshit
That beginning song reminded me of when I was like 11 and first played Skyrim. I walked out of helgen, and right there. The song played. It was so amazing. It felt like I was really there.
I am in the hospital recovering from major spine surgery. There was a little bit of rain like this today that I captured with my phone and uploaded to TH-cam. But it lasted such a short time. This is Heaven for someone who needs peace of mind and a good sleep.
@@deadricchampion6856 Nice of you to ask, thank you. I'm doing superbly after a few years, a few blessings and a lot of hard work. On days like today, though, when it's raining for real, I can really feel it in my neck. Doubly good that you commented, because now I can watch this video again. Be well yourself!
It's nice there's places like this to go online I can't count how many hours I've just left my xbox on maybe by accident maybe subconsciously with skyrim playing and just did everything I needed to do around the house
I remember when I was little, I played this almost every day. Usually when I had to go down and get water, my moms friend was there talking up a storm with her. She would always compliment me and say how fast I was growing up. She sadly passed, but hearing this music reminded me of those days, and how good I had it back then. Whenever I'm scared of the future, or whatever it may have in store for me, I know she'd be proud of me, whichever path I choose. Sorry for clogging up the comment section with my sob story. Maybe someone reading can get something out of it.
Everness' Skyrim Ambience vids totally kickstarted my return to the game... Playing nearly every night now. haha Thanks for the good feels! Watch these nonstop at work so when I get home I'm so ready to explore. :)
Of course it's not come and crying to be right and being right and being kind and you still cry forget about crying it's a part of you anyway is the human part that you feel inside the human heart for someone that you care so much and he doesn't even pay attention to what you're saying I understand that they will dissolve in time in God's Time
This song was on que for some of the saddest encounters I've played on skyrim. Like the Breton woman who went after the bandits that robbed her only to get killed. And my dragonborn and Lydia stumbled upon them as they sprung out on us from nowhere only to find her lifeless corps on the ground and the note that basically said she knew she was gonna die but she had to get her necklass back, it was the only heirloom she had from her family and all of them were dead. Why does that one stay with me I don't have a clue. But this song and that encounter will always be tied together in my mind.
I was really in my depression, didnt do anything. Unemployed, barely ate, drank, shower while playing this game. I hate how I was in that time but..... I loved every minute of playing this absolute of a masterpiece. Really blocked how I felt during that time. I was truly in another world and that was fine for awhile.
I remember being 11 when Skyrim got released, played Oblivion and Morrowind when I was 7 great games. That 1st Morning was amazing, no school due to snow/icy roads, a blanket, a hot coffee my dad made me, my comfy bed I was in paradise. I miss those days
It's sad to know that we might never experience another epic adventure such as Skyrim from Bethesda ever again. So hearing this breaks my heart. To all my fell soldiers who took an arrow to the knee, let's cherish this moment.
I bet there will never be such masterpiece, as skyrim. Skyrim is something unique, something that makes you return each time for centuries agter release. Im in skyrim from 2011 and i will never stop playing. Skyrim is more than a life, it’s something very special. A story that will never end. In summary i played like > 15000 hours in skyrim.
If we had a little composer inside of our brains that throws original OST to our ears according to our feelings or sight, life would never be boring. Even a walk in the park would be epic.
Dude thanks so much.Me and my friends got all of your Skyrim vids in a playlist and played it in the background while we played D&D with a Skyrim framework for our campaign. Plus these vids bring such strong nostalgia to my mind and wanting to play that game again. Thank You.
This has really helped my university exam studying. Jeremy Soule is the perfect cure for procrastination, and the 1 hour video length is perfect for timing my study breaks.
I first played Skyrim pretty late in 2016 but even so I have made so many wonderful memories with this amazing game. I felt as I was in this game, swinging my sword, using my magic and fighting strong foe. I felt at peace. Life was hard enough as it was and this was a away to escape it all. To feel like your in a massive fantasy world full of surprises and beauty. And it’s not just me. Every single one of you felt that chill down your spine. Feeling this power Skyrim gave us. It made all of us stronger more confident and just overall at peace with ourselves. I love this game, The nostalgia brings us memories of true happiness and the best part of it all. Is we experienced this masterpiece together and nothing will ever come close to its glory.
I used to sit in my basement and play this game for hours whenever i got out of class back in high school. Man, I just want to go back and love every minute of this wonderful game. Old games really do die hard, and so dy my nostalgic memories of being fully engulfed in lively action based gaming. Lets not forget the stellar music like this which provides such quiet and tranquil ambience in the background, and oh skyrim, I do miss you so. Too bad I have priorities and other goals to accomplish, otherwise i would have been playing this game until the day I die.
I wish I could go back to when I was younger, booting up skyrim legendary edition for the first time on my ps3 and not knowing that I was just about to embark on my greatest fantasy adventure ever. I miss those days. The Skyrim soundtracks truly always make me feel like home, like I'm almost walking around a place I know so vividly.
Probably the best part of skyrim is just listening to the ambience and just really looking at the environment of skyrim and admiring it and what mother nature really has to offer even in video games 😇
22:13 - Frostfall, this song is a piece of art, it brings me back to when I played the game, when this song played when I was exploring I used to stop walking to avoid being into battle and miss this beautiful song ...
I have never played this game.. and now i feel sorry for that.I love fantasy worlds and just fantasy in every shape ( music, art.. ) Skyrim seems to be like the part of my long lost world

It also suits your profile picture
I'd give anything to experience Skyrim all over again
Just play it again, woof woof dude
Thank you for being one of the *only* channels that doesn't dump ads all over copyrighted music. Thank you so much.
You're welcome! :D
These videos _are_ monetized (in accordance with the copyright holders' policies of course), but the only intrusive ads enabled are the ones at the start of a video.
Yeah, let me echo that. Too many gophers out there putting out "relaxing" background music with ads every 5-10 min. You're a rare breed, @Everness1.
thanks for the heads up =D
@@jakes.5206 luckily people are starting to point them out in the comments.
Jeremy Soule has had an unlikely impact on my life. His music is so inspirational and motivational. When the Dovakhin theme starts playing during my workout, I literally lose all sense of pain and fatigue. How is that even possible???

Often in war back in the day music was played to bolster the armies and intimidate the enemy.
Thank you!
In Skyrim we are all great, omg :')
I play on vr with surround sound headphones, and this game has about put me to sleep several times. not from boredom, from the peacefulness of certain areas
Can't believe it's been 8 years already since the release.
quietmind here’s to the next 8 years
Damn, it's already been 10 now
@@pietrogrillicicilioni5257 still closer to 10, but approaching 11

Skyrim's release is in the past, and we are in the present. However, it will be forever fiercely nostalgic to hear the soundtrack. So beautiful.
My English teacher played this song in class
for what exactly
Spanish I would assume
Dementia some teachers do it to help do class work or just to listen to
The first I played skyrim was on my teachers laptop in computer lab..😂😂
You have one of the coolest teachers then.
Listening to this on a gloomy day is just one of the most satisfying things I have ever done in my life.
Fancy meeting you here
I was peacefully studying but then I end up crying hearing every piece of music that gives me so much nostalgia. I can't believe we grew up so fast. Everything just seemed like it happened yesterday
I am currently in a rainy day in Iceland observing mountains with this sound It's incredibly fantastic !
Everytime I listen to Skyrims soundtrack i always get flooded with Nostalgia and it makes me tear up. This game will truly never die in my heart and in my memories.
11th of November Happy Skyrim Day!
First time playing this game was in 2019, and somehow I feel a deep nostalgia listening to Skyrim's song.
I remember when I was in high school and I played Skyrim for hours.
I have always loved and will love this soundtrack... Good times
I’ll try to keep them up 😌
Oh my, right now, I am studying for my college entrance exams.
Beautifully said
I was 12 or 13 when this game came out. ❤️
ah Skyrim my favorite place, a home full of amazing adventures

Then get mods to make it even better, Bethesda, please don't let us die hard fans down like Battlefield V did.
replying to a very old comment, but, they announced now that they're gonna start it after they make Starfield, which is apparently "skyrim in space."
also replying to an extremely old comment and honestly, with how gaming is nowadays, I wouldnt be surprised if TES6 is a complete shitshow full of micro transactions and bullshit
Sigh.. it seems i will never be able stop coming back to Skyrim. This homesick feeling towards the game is insane.
That beginning song reminded me of when I was like 11 and first played Skyrim. I walked out of helgen, and right there. The song played. It was so amazing. It felt like I was really there.
really did...i wish i could go back to that time
This is one of the game that made me truly love videogame. Thank you papa Todd and your wonderful team for giving us this beautiful gift of a game
I am in the hospital recovering from major spine surgery. There was a little bit of rain like this today that I captured with my phone and uploaded to TH-cam. But it lasted such a short time. This is Heaven for someone who needs peace of mind and a good sleep.
I hope youve recovered well
@@yossarian8561 Thanks, that's very kind! A few more months to heal completely, but so far so good.
@@Vesnicie how are you holding up nowadays
@@deadricchampion6856 Nice of you to ask, thank you. I'm doing superbly after a few years, a few blessings and a lot of hard work. On days like today, though, when it's raining for real, I can really feel it in my neck. Doubly good that you commented, because now I can watch this video again. Be well yourself!
@@Vesnicie Glad to hear that, have a wonderfull day
It's nice there's places like this to go online I can't count how many hours I've just left my xbox on maybe by accident maybe subconsciously with skyrim playing and just did everything I needed to do around the house
God, there isn't a time this music comes on that I don't feel nostalgic
I remember when I was little, I played this almost every day. Usually when I had to go down and get water, my moms friend was there talking up a storm with her. She would always compliment me and say how fast I was growing up. She sadly passed, but hearing this music reminded me of those days, and how good I had it back then. Whenever I'm scared of the future, or whatever it may have in store for me, I know she'd be proud of me, whichever path I choose. Sorry for clogging up the comment section with my sob story. Maybe someone reading can get something out of it.
I think it was a happy story, i liked reading it
GL to you out there
Everness' Skyrim Ambience vids totally kickstarted my return to the game... Playing nearly every night now. haha Thanks for the good feels! Watch these nonstop at work so when I get home I'm so ready to explore. :)
This has no right to be this good, calming, nostalgic and relaxing at the same time, yet im so glad it is
Of course it's not come and crying to be right and being right and being kind and you still cry forget about crying it's a part of you anyway is the human part that you feel inside the human heart for someone that you care so much and he doesn't even pay attention to what you're saying I understand that they will dissolve in time in God's Time
25:30
(Sorry this just a reminder for me)
This song was on que for some of the saddest encounters I've played on skyrim.
I was truly in another world and that was fine for awhile.
still here guys and will be forever
and this, too~ the E, in 4E stands for eternal ;)
I remember being 11 when Skyrim got released, played Oblivion and Morrowind when I was 7 great games.
That 1st Morning was amazing, no school due to snow/icy roads, a blanket, a hot coffee my dad made me, my comfy bed I was in paradise.
I miss those days
This music is so nostalgic and makes me want to fall aslee-
It's sad to know that we might never experience another epic adventure such as Skyrim from Bethesda ever again.
I digged further in the stats and i have 29’371 hour in skyrim. It means 15% of life i spent in skyrim. And it’s just a beginning.
If we had a little composer inside of our brains that throws original OST to our ears according to our feelings or sight, life would never be boring. Even a walk in the park would be epic.
Were you high when you wrote this be honest
I am sad to say I have never played Skyrim, but I started listening to the music while searching for new study music and I fell in love with it!
Dude thanks so much.Me and my friends got all of your Skyrim vids in a playlist and played it in the background while we played D&D with a Skyrim framework for our campaign. Plus these vids bring such strong nostalgia to my mind and wanting to play that game again. Thank You.
Every playthrough I've made is running through my mind right now. Oh the nostalgic memeries, and as soon as I get home those memories will continue.
0:00 Hey, you're finally awake.

Same, sometimes i come back to listen to this music and forget about my problems while reading comments
Who needs lo-fi mixes when you have THIS
Luckily we can have both :0
I wish I could go back to when I was younger, booting up skyrim legendary edition for the first time on my ps3 and not knowing that I was just about to embark on my greatest fantasy adventure ever. I miss those days. The Skyrim soundtracks truly always make me feel like home, like I'm almost walking around a place I know so vividly.
Skyrim may not be a flawless game but thank god for this Soundtrack, it's helping me with the studying. I'm in love with this game.
Yes, thank G/d, amen.
it’s 2024 and i come to this video often to help me get through panic attacks… it has literally saved me dozens of times over the last few years
Listening to this, I am home.
Biohazard 4 😂😂
Has the music helped you through lockdown too?
Well you know your home when you hear
"PAPA/MAMA"
"did you get me something"
Or "stop teasing"
In moments if need, I come back to this ambience to calm me. It's a great escape from the world around me.
Blessings of the Divines on you for making this!
A big thank you for this post. I listen to it when i read study material. It makes reading like an adventure
This reminds me of "The Witcher".. great story, great game, great music, just masterpiece!
Every single year when it gets cold I replay skyrim just for this beautiful atmoshere
I didn't know I needed this in my life until now.
Probably the best part of skyrim is just listening to the ambience and just really looking at the environment of skyrim and admiring it and what mother nature really has to offer even in video games 😇
This is such perfect reading music!
22:13 - Frostfall, this song is a piece of art, it brings me back to when I played the game, when this song played when I was exploring I used to stop walking to avoid being into battle and miss this beautiful song ...
I Cannot get enough of these videos! Good job! I love them
The calm nostalgia feeling i get from Skyrim is something that won’t be recreated. I get to sleep to fast with this
I have never played this game.. and now i feel sorry for that.I love fantasy worlds and just fantasy in every shape ( music, art.. ) Skyrim seems to be like the part of my long lost world

Skyrim helped me understand my own emotions that had been bothering me throughout my troublesome childhood. I could finally let my emotions flow like the rivers of Tamriel. Grateful for the time spent playing this game❤
