Something about the music of Skyrim, Secunda especially, transports me to this wonderful space of peace, calm, happiness, and adventure, and a feeling of being so connected with something. Along with that comes a feeling of deep nostalgia, a bit of sadness, almost as if I am missing a place that feels like home. To miss the great hall of Dragons Reach, the warm fire lit glow of the Inns and taverns, the birch filled autumn forests of riften, the babbling brooks and rivers of Solitude, the cold and howling winds of the Throat of the world, the eerie, hauntingly beautiful glow of black reach. Moonlit nights under the aurora and stars. All of it feels like a place I dearly miss, yet alas, it is not real. What an odd feeling to miss a place that has never existed and I can never truly visit, yet what joy that I have experienced the encompassing beauty of such a place. This game means so much to me, it has gotten me through some of my darkest days of anxiety and depression and I am very thankful. Thank you for this video, it calms and soothes me to let me fall asleep soundly. Well met traveller.
Never played this game but I understand :s I still play WoW occasionally and it used to be a nice way to escape and feel less lonely, but now I simply tend to listen to the beautiful music of such games to try to stay sane, empty my mind and fall asleep... Well, we don't need only another world to escape our own, we need more logic and compassion in this one, and to love it like it's our only one; cause it is. Fantasy is great and all but it's not enough imo (tbh I can hardly enjoy it, again, and this time it's probably permanent because I can't stop thinking about the real world). Our world is FUBAR at this point but if we unite there is still some hope. Too bad it's not really happening yet... most ppl don't care at all.... p.s. Agreed, falling asleep to ambient music is one of the very few things that remain great when your mind is beyond troubled/exhausted. This channel is kind of saving my life atm.
Rebekah Randell OMG I feel the SAME way!!! This game means a lot to me as well and has some meaningful memories attached. It was one of the first video games I played and I fell in love with it. The immersing world, stories, music, everything impacted me in such a good way. I’m glad I’m not the only one who had such a good experience playing this game;)
I love how Bethesda used graphics, art, and music to create an actual world. It's like this place actually exists independently, as if you travel far enough you would actually see the stones overlooking the valley
@@SirMattomaton that why i love so much Skyrim and Fallout 4, those games gives me the same feeling. I played the most famous rpg games and any of them doesn't makes me feel like the same.
Skyrim is my dads favourite game, back in 2012 when I was 5 we bought it together and I’ve never looked back, a game that’s stuck by me my whole life, and one that has made our bond stronger, so yeah ai think that would be amazing something as beautiful as this can being together people who almost seem to be from different worlds
I grew up listening to my mom's favorite 80's songs and now they're something nostalgic and important in my life thought I was born in 1999. Imagine the kids our generation will raise?
I just wanted to say God bless all of you in life. Secunda makes me think about how simple life was as a teenager, I think about my aunt and my dad. me and my dad didn't have the best relationship. I was very close with his sister my aunt they are both gone now cancer took both of them from me. Dad in 2021 and my Aunt in 2020. My cousins lost their mother very young and their Uncle (my Dad) and now here i am a young man without the both of them in my life any longer. It makes me think about when I would bring my xbox 360 to my Grandparents house in Upstate NY. My grandparents were on a trip so me, my aunt and at the time two little cousins with my younger bother went up to get away from the city. I helped her with the kids a lot since i was the oldest especially with the youngest, holding her a lot but, i remember after everyone went to bed that i was playing skyrim and my brother was also watching me play. Hope all of you are doing well in life.
I hope your doing good in life man, I will say it as well, I miss when life was way more simpler than now, but all we can do is hold are heads up high and remember the good times :]
I still remember my first character. i was really young and terrible at character creation so my character turned out really ugly, so I named her Horrible Helen. my brother’s first character was a green argonian named cheezeburger¿ . this game although it has many flaws as well as many treasures, has always been a huge part of nostalgia for me
November 2014, I am 12 years old. Outside the window there is typical late autumn weather - the sky is covered with clouds, there is no sun at all. The trees have shed their crowns, it’s gray and cold all around. I take my eyes off reality and look at the monitor. My character is in Markarth, standing on the balcony near a bottle of wine and an empty mug. I watch two moons in the dark sky of Skyrim, they are enveloped in the northern lights. The song Secunda started playing in the background. Almost 10 years have passed, but I still remember. Thanks for the memories, Bethesda.
every time i look down in my books, I expect to look up from them and see than lands of skyrim as I were in it. This soundtrack is what makes skyrim skyrim
I loved the alteration class of magic Tnx for reminding me about it It was mostly useless but it was so cool and unique I always liked the utility things that are kinda strange I also remember transmuting silver into gold and making mad profit haha Those were good times
@@dj_koen1265 Ah yes, Proventus Avenicci sending you to kill a bandit leader near whiterun, slaughtering all the bandits, finding the transmutation spell book on the table, farming all the iron ore, carying too much weight and walking back to whiterun and craft as much jewelry as you can in the middle of the night at Warmaiden's...
This music brings back some warm memories. But at the same time, I feel as if these memories aren't mine and start feeling like a distant dream. A dream I want to dream but I don't know how.
Me too. A friend showed me this a while ago, but I don't really talk to them much anymore. Listening to this reminds me of the happy moments I had with them. Music really can transform into timestamps of your own life, bringing that unparalleled feeling of nostalgia whenever you listen to something for the first time in a while.
This game, it just means so much to me. It’s like my home, my one quiet place that I can spend hours on hours doing quests, defeating dragons, and admiring the wonderful beauty of the nature around me whilst I’m out exploring. Whenever I think of Skyrim, it makes me feel at peace. Whenever i play Skyrim, it makes me feel at peace. This is a place I’ve lived in but will never be able to visit. This has been my escape, my aesthetic. All of the many different quests make it so unique, so life like. All the different things you can explore and find, all the little easter eggs that make you want to find more, and then seeing that you’ve spent hours and hours, even though it’s felt like minutes. There’s just something odd about this game, something no one can figure out. It just feels right. You just get lost in this game. You get sucked in the screen. Getting lost in the woods, exploring new lands, admiring the beauty of all the small details in this land. You don’t understand why it make you feel happy, you just let it happen. I’m really trying my hardest to put all of my thoughts on this game, but if I did this would go on for miles. Take a few hours in Skyrim to just look around. No quests. No fast traveling. Just go off of the trail. See all the things that are eating to be seen. Safe travels, friend.
It has a lot to do w/ the music. It transports you immediately to the mountains, tundras, creekside taverns, and ancient ruins of Skyrim. This music like hearing your ‘Soule’ sing.
This game is so deeply ingrained into my heart and mind I seem to relate everything with skyrim. Sometimes I’ll look around and think: that looks a whole lot like that one place. And then take a good look around just to be sure
I cant describe what this game means to me. Its such a beautiful world where i found my self in. 💜 Btw. Iam struggeling with panic attacks sometimes, this beautiful music gives me peace and calm in my heart. 💜
in my first ever play through, it rained nearly 24/7 and everynight after cutting wood, i would rush to the inn and take in the beautiful world that was built. Im afraid humanity may never experience a masterpiece like SKYRIM again :(
Me- This is so great, wondering through Skyrim, enjoying the views... This is so rela- Bandits- *NEVER SHOULD OF COME HERE!* DUN DUN DUN, DUN DUN DUDUDUN Me- those two bandits ar- *Dragon appears out of no where* Geez I love Skyrim 😂
Dude i was swimming in a lake and a random dragon appeared. So i thought i was gonna die but the slaughter fish attacked the dragon and that gave me enough time to get out of the water. I died anyways XD
You’re sitting there in Skyrim, night falls and this music starts playing. It calms you and then you wonder what it would be like to just step into the game. One of the greatest games of all time
I don't even play this game but I'm sure if I did I would've gotten obsessed. This music is so beautiful, I can't even imagine how magical it is to quest with.
Laura-Abigail Garvin you missed out. A game it may be, but the effort was well beyond that of any film. Pure joy and magic shared by millions who played it.
It's a good game if you want dumb fun while pretending it's productive. The story is bland, the characters are dull, but I keep finding myself going back to play it one more time.
This is the world I escaped to while dealing with the death of my father. Every night this world would give me four to eight hours of something other than that . The music still brings me back.....
Man this is great, your 'Night' video was always my favourite and now I have Night 2.0. Also about you using Secunda 3 times...definitely the right choice!
This game will always hold such a special place in my heart, and has brought me so much joy throughout my childhood... I remember watching my mom play it when I was little, I remember her always making me close my eyes during the Helgen execution scene, I remember cheering her on as she fought dragons, and when the day came that I was finally old enough to play it myself, you have NO idea how excited I was! Even if my mom wasn't there, I still remember closing my eyes whenever I would play through the Helgen scene until I felt I was “old enough” to handle it. I remember always asking my mom to do the tough battles and quests for me when I was stuck. I'm almost 15 now, so Skyrim is one of the games I spent most of my childhood playing. She doesn't play it often anymore and is a lot busier now, but sometimes she'll walk into my room as I'm playing it and I'll bring up those memories, and the times we would spend talking about it and playing it together... I don't think I'll ever stop playing it. Skyrim always has and always will be one of my favorite games of all time.
I've just had the most wonderful journalling session to this, up until 25:49. Sipped on black coffee, about to head out for my run. It's around 7am, the sun starts to rise, I see it from my window, I will now leave the room. I haven't done this in a while, it used to be a necessary practice to me, in other times. Now are different times. Thank you for this, it's wonderful.
Studying for my Personal Trainer certification and of everything I've found to drown out the background and help me focus, skyrim ambient videos have helped the most. Seriously such a good ambient soundtrack.
My infant sons been listening to this since I brought him home💙 he cant sleep without it! I cant wait to sit down and play all the Elder Scrolls with him
places like this exist in real world. imagine having a wooden cabin or house in forest, fireplace, mountains around. Thats why people move to places like this, they are magical.
You just woke up, stood up and went on your balcony. The creeking of the stairs leading up to the door give you already a feeling about how much adventure your going to experience. Steps before the door you can already smell the fresh air of the mountains. Dwarven horns raining slowly down from the mountains letting you embrace the very moment and showing you how beautiful every single piece is. You can hear the Blacksmith already hammering swords and melting armors. The Rain slowly dropping on the stones on the pathway below you, Children wandering around playing. You take another deep breath, you take a clear look. You see whiterun in the distance with its majestic walls slung around it with all the little farms placed in the surrounding. You feel the power of the gods flow through you, pushing yourself to do your best as always. You hear wolves howling and guards roaming around.
Just turned 27 and I always come back to this OST for comfort. 14 year old me didn't realize how special this would be. I imagine I will always keep this video saved. I imagine my kids asking me about this when it plays throughout the home. Forever in my heart you will be Skyrim. Forever
I'm having a hard time falling a sleep. This really helps me. Dreaming about the time when I've started playing skyrim (morrowind was the first). At that time it really helped me through my darkest days, in the past.
Can’t beat Skyrim music. Occasionally when I go camping, I will play Skyrim music and fall asleep in my hammock with a fire close by. Jeremy Soule is the best
This game has a certain way it pulls you in like a fish stuck on a fishing rod. The mountains are so majestic yet they hold the most fearsome of foes. There was a path I was walking when i saw beautiful autumn leaves over the huge snowy mountain. For a game to do that so well and so long ago it is phenomenal. I first thing i noticed is the music in this game. The music felt like it could make you fall asleep faster than hypnotism could but also has a powerful, nordic feel behind it. All the Elder Scroll games are great but in my opinion this is by far the greatest one.
This brings back so many memories of playing at 4 AM, survival mode on and I was tired, hungry and cold. I would be on my horse, going down to tundra homestead (creation club). I would get home and my children would be waiting for me and then I would go inside and see my husband. God, thank you so much for this.
I personally love the sound and visuals of rain. Let it be real life or virtually in a game, it calms me and I always sleep better on rainy nights. Combined with the night soundtrack of Skyrim I feel like I just found my dream music, it's calming and I forget about my problems and anxiety. Thanks for making this and all the other Skyrim soundtracks. I'm sad I haven't found your channel sooner ^^
There are a few things that are amazing to me about this sound track. 1: Not a single one of these comments has a dislike 2: My English instructor plays this in the background as ambience during class and no one but me recognizes it 3: The nostalgia I feel course through me as I hear the first few notes of Secunda and From Past to Present, will never not bring me joy as I am thrown back into being a 9yr/old booting up my old, piece-of-junk Xbox 360 as happy as can be knowing I finally, truthfully, feel at home.
It is 7 and 20 minutes (no hyperlink, yay) on january 19th, 2019. Its dark, night, and rainy. Its a saturday night, and everybody just wants to chill. No parties, no loud music. Just sit, listen to the rain, enjoy the silence of man and the noise of the sky. Ive chosen to add some good, fitting music for myself, after listening for a while, and here i am. Beautiful
I have my parents to thank for buying me this game when I was young and blessing me with hours upon hours of fun. Even today, I can still sink in 50, even 100 more hours all over again and not be bored. Skyrim truly is a timeless gem.
These videos transport me to my dads den playing at 3-4 in the morning with nothing but the click of the mouse and a turtle tank filter while I finished a random radiant quest in complete darkness during my first two years of high school. nothing quite like those times
There’s just something about this music and game that’s forever captivated me. I can’t explain it. I would kill to live in Skyrim. Go out and quest and stop by at taverns meeting all kinds of cool people.
I'm feeling nostalgic remembering the times where I cant even survive a day without 12h of playing it. I miss my assassin sanctuary. My Sven and my horse. I remember all those. And when i saw the picture at the very beginning I remember that when I went out the cave and went to Riverwood. I wish i can earn enough money to buy the game again.
Kyne's peace is so good , every time I listen to it , it's like a flashback of the entire Skyrim plot , starting from escaping Helgen , to the betrayal of the dark brotherhood , the battle of Imperials and Stormcloaks and the death of Alduin ofcourse. Its amazing how music can make you go back to certain memories and help you relive it.
This I’d exactly how I feel about World of Warcraft. Never played Skyrim, but the memories of Warcraft were some of the best ever. I’d love to relive it from the very first time I loaded it up…
@@adgrimes1981 I feel you man, I actually disliked Skyrim at first, i had it in my Steam library for 3-4 years and I didn't even know why I bought it, but last year I was just bored and I was searching my library to see my games and I saw Skyrim and I said to myself I will give it a try (I never even installed it but i've watched few short clips on YT before it) and ever since I am so into it. I tried WoW many years ago but I was too dumb for it I guess, maybe cause my English then was shit I didn't understand the game.
Skyrim is my most favorite game because it lets me travel into a whole new world, and immersing myself to the grandiose of it. But due to busy schedules and exams in my college, I kinda missed playing it. So, thanks for this playlist, it's my refuge.
As someone who suffers from insomnia, these videos are an absolute godsend! Even during periods of time where I do not sleep for multiple days, listening to these during the night restores me enough to take on the next day. Words cannot express how grateful I am.
The set of chords starting at 35:28 have always been one of my most favorite parts of Skyrim's soundtrack. When I hear them, I always feel like I am giving a huge deep breath out and forgetting all my troubles.
Just listening makes me so sad and nostalgic. I love this game and everything within it and It saddens me to think that Bethesda might never make a game that even comes close to this, not because this game is hard to top, but simply because they’ve changed so much as a company and sadly, not in a good way either. I hope I’m wrong and the next ES game is just as good or even better but damn, i just hope we get something beautiful again. This game was fantastic, I wish I could play this game for the first time over and over again.
I can just imagine the beautiful scene of Skyrim. The tall grass saying with the calm air, the clouds drifting above head, some people traveling too, from time to time, some familiar faces now and then. What I really love about the game is that it reminds me of my dad, who taught me everything I know about this game. There will never be a game that I love as much as Skyrim. This music makes me feel at peace, and makes me believe that my father is at peace too...
I was immediately hooked onto Skyrim when my sister introduced me to it. The music makes me feel this emotion I've heard of that some people have experienced with Minecraft, it's the urge to be in the game, live your life in the game, and the music, sound, and sky give me that feeling strongly. Skyrim will always be my number one.
I am writing my thesis while listening to this, and some other Skyrim music ambience, on repeat. It realy helps to focus and get in a right state of mind. There is something calming in Soule's music. It is so simple, almost minimalistic - two instruments playing simultaniousely, but so elegant. And the rain with cicadas add so much to the atmosphere. Great mix!
Everytime it rains when I'm working I find myself bee lining back to this video, its so peaceful to combine real rain sounds with the Skyrim music & atmosphere.
ManThat YouFear damn ! Same here man, 8 months strong. Might play Skyrim soon, I hope maybe one day for my birthday I can get a good pc and be able to download Skyrim. Such a master piece of a game!!
god i remember playing skyrim as a kid on release it was so fun and just thinking about it makes me want to go back to those days they were so much better and carefree being a kid enjoying games like this gem!! its crazy to think skyrim is coming up on its 13th anniversary really sets in how old i am getting and how fast time goes lol
I come listen to this video every day with my studies, and I see the same top comments every time from 2-4 years ago. I can't be the only one right? Someone say something!
I remember that the game felt so magical when i first played it Those 200 hours of skyrim were some of the most magical moments in my life Especially the first hundred hours or so But I cant even remember anymore what it was like And it feels so bad to have lost even the sense of nostalgia en memories.. watching this scenery faintly reminds me of it but not enough to make me actually remember anything
This takes me back to the days when I was little, right after my parents divorced. Before my dad married his new wife he would stay up playing games a lot, and I would a lot of times wake up to this ambience. I would sit out there with him and watch him play until I fell asleep on the couch. That was years ago... I miss moments like those.
Since I discovered your channel I've been playing your videos 24/7. Its just magic, and I love the way you do the video while audio sounds, having 2 screens an having the video on one of them while I do stuff its perfect. Ty so much.
This is the game that opened my eyes to the open world/RPG genre. I’ve spent over 800 hours on this game on my first character on the 360 alone and when I boot up that console and play my old character from time to time for the memories I just find it remarkable that just when I think I’ve done everything I find something that I’ve missed. A small location in the middle of nowhere or side quest I missed out on. Sure its nothing big but it still feels seismic when you realise that there’s still stuff out there, stuff you’ve missed, and it makes you want to keep going. Then when you keep going and you spend more time in the world, and when you leave Skyrim, it’s like leaving your house. That’s the wonder of this game that separates it from all others. The fact it can make you feel that way. That you can miss the experience of just being present in the world and the way you can do nothing but roam and still not be bored. Although it does have its flaws and I’m much more critical of this game nowadays being a huge fan of rpgs it won’t take away the fact that it was a truly magical experience that I wish I could experience again. A real bastion of nostalgia. I could go on forever about how this game helped me in my life but I’ve already dragged this on. I couldn’t thank Bethesda enough for this amazing franchise but I’ll say thank you anyway.

Everytime I play Skyrim, i breath a sigh of relief, so good to be back. One of the best games ever made.
every time i look down in my books, I expect to look up from them and see than lands of skyrim as I were in it. This soundtrack is what makes skyrim skyrim
My Alteration skill went up just by watching this video!
I loved the alteration class of magic
Tnx for reminding me about it
It was mostly useless but it was so cool and unique
I always liked the utility things that are kinda strange
I also remember transmuting silver into gold and making mad profit haha
Those were good times

I wish I could go back.

Same here son, same here...
Most of us do :,)
idk why but this hurt me really bad :(
We all do

This music brings back some warm memories. But at the same time, I feel as if these memories aren't mine and start feeling like a distant dream. A dream I want to dream but I don't know how.
Then you close your eyes and........and.....
and you find yourselves at the back of a carriage ,tied down.......
Me too. A friend showed me this a while ago, but I don't really talk to them much anymore. Listening to this reminds me of the happy moments I had with them. Music really can transform into timestamps of your own life, bringing that unparalleled feeling of nostalgia whenever you listen to something for the first time in a while.

Oh shit cool to see you here
This game, it just means so much to me.
Skyrim is my hobby
It has a lot to do w/ the music. It transports you immediately to the mountains, tundras, creekside taverns, and ancient ruins of Skyrim.
This music like hearing your ‘Soule’ sing.

Yesterday I started again :)
Guess it will never die, my soul belongs to this beautiful landscapes and musics. Long life to the Vikings !
Yeah but would it be alive just on the Base game and DLC's? I'm curious to know, I've never played it modded so It's just been Base an DLC for myself.
I think I've been using this channel almost everyday for several months now, lol, keep uploading new stuff :D

You should definitely play it sometime! The game's amazing and makes you wish you lived in Skyrim
@@yunyuncapece3640 I just wanna live the rest of my days in whiterun
It's a good game if you want dumb fun while pretending it's productive. The story is bland, the characters are dull, but I keep finding myself going back to play it one more time.
As long as the game doesn't bugg its amazing!
I have never played Elder Scrolls .. but Ive always listened to its music .. beautiful .. Jeremy Soule is a genius
I have fond memories of playing Skyrim in the coziness of my room during Winter breaks from school.

Why isn't there a 1000 like button for ur comment?
I've always thought of Skyrim as the epic one and Oblivion as the charming one. The adventure feel in Skyrim is just incredible.
I'm sad I haven't found your channel sooner ^^
and not only the effects and music of the rain but also all the sounds even during the battle
It’s crazy that just a music can transport me in another world 🥺 this game is so precious to me
Literally an hour of just Secunda would be absolutely perfect
Secunda is my favorite too. Everness, THANKS, these videos are pure gold. I'm sure they took *a lot* of effort, but many people appreciate it.
There are a few things that are amazing to me about this sound track.
1: Not a single one of these comments has a dislike
2: My English instructor plays this in the background as ambience during class and no one but me recognizes it
3: The nostalgia I feel course through me as I hear the first few notes of Secunda and From Past to Present, will never not bring me joy as I am thrown back into being a 9yr/old booting up my old, piece-of-junk Xbox 360 as happy as can be knowing I finally, truthfully, feel at home.
Amen, brother, amen
It is 7 and 20 minutes (no hyperlink, yay) on january 19th, 2019. Its dark, night, and rainy. Its a saturday night, and everybody just wants to chill. No parties, no loud music. Just sit, listen to the rain, enjoy the silence of man and the noise of the sky. Ive chosen to add some good, fitting music for myself, after listening for a while, and here i am. Beautiful
This game changed my life.
I have my parents to thank for buying me this game when I was young and blessing me with hours upon hours of fun. Even today, I can still sink in 50, even 100 more hours all over again and not be bored. Skyrim truly is a timeless gem.
Kyne's Peace calms me down so much. Amazing piece of music.
“You Awaken Feeling Well Rested”
Sheesh, youtube play list just brought me back to the past, definitely going to have to play skyrim after listening to this.
These videos transport me to my dads den playing at 3-4 in the morning with nothing but the click of the mouse and a turtle tank filter while I finished a random radiant quest in complete darkness during my first two years of high school. nothing quite like those times
Skyrim is actually the 1st game I’d really call Home. Skyrim will live on forever ❤️
There’s just something about this music and game that’s forever captivated me. I can’t explain it. I would kill to live in Skyrim. Go out and quest and stop by at taverns meeting all kinds of cool people.
The fact that Secunda plays 3 times shows how mystical it is.
There could not have been a better composer who could capture fantasy, exploration, history and melancholy like Jeremy soule
Do you mean Riverwood?

Kyne's peace is so good , every time I listen to it , it's like a flashback of the entire Skyrim plot , starting from escaping Helgen , to the betrayal of the dark brotherhood , the battle of Imperials and Stormcloaks and the death of Alduin ofcourse. Its amazing how music can make you go back to certain memories and help you relive it.

Havn't played in years but best believe I'm getting back on today after hearing this
Death hey, how did it go? Did you start a new game or just go sightseeing in an old save?
Great mix!
Everytime it rains when I'm working I find myself bee lining back to this video, its so peaceful to combine real rain sounds with the Skyrim music & atmosphere.
seriously, i always play this game from 2011, i just, cant leave this game,

This takes me back to the days when I was little, right after my parents divorced. Before my dad married his new wife he would stay up playing games a lot, and I would a lot of times wake up to this ambience. I would sit out there with him and watch him play until I fell asleep on the couch. That was years ago... I miss moments like those.
This is way more therapeutic than those meditation videos
