- Patriotic montage of scenes accompanying a performance of the U.S. National Anthem as sung by Fred Waring and His Pennsylvanians in 1942. I chose this version of the national anthem because I feel it is important to actually consider and reflect upon our nation's great history during our Independence Day Celebrations.
It seems that so many American's these days just use July 4th as an excuse to have a barbeque, light fireworks, or take a day off from work, but hardly ever do they really think about what the men and women of our country's past went through on our behalf.
Please be safe during your holiday celebrations, and remember that our nation's founding fathers and the men and women that stood with them struggled and died so that Americans can have a better life - not politicians and banks - Americans.

I always start tearing up when i hear the anthem all the men and women that died for our freedom they didnt deserve to die but they took the risk and fought anyway i always think of them everytime.

I find it sad that America never forgets our failures, but we rarely celebrate our victories. 9/11 is a joke when we all cry about it but aren't willing to do what is necessary to keep such an attack from happening. 9/11 was not a singular attack, it was a build up from several previous Islamic terrorist attacks but no one wanted to admit the truth as to who our enemy was. To this day we are still blind to this fact, and the only thing keeping us safe are our boys out there doing a thankless job.
