The best is that it looks old and original , but in good condition. As opposed to stripped and sanded down, stained and polished to look new! THIS is history!😸
I never thought I would ever say this but I believe you’re better at repairing and blending wood and wood furniture than my brother. My brother has left me flabbergasted and in disbelief at the repairs and builds that he has made, but you’ve gone a step further. This comment I’m leaving you is the highest compliment I could ever leave another person, your talent goes beyond belief and you’re a legend in my opinion. So thank you for the entertainment, I’ll be looking forward to your next video.
You should watch Thomas Johnson antique furniture restoration. He is a real master. He explains what and why he does something. Ahti explains generally, but Thomas explains in detail.
Wow!! What a beautiful antique table!! And to think it started off as a piece of firewood with legs!! Your technique to recreate the graining is pure artistry!! You outdo yourself every time!! Thank you for sharing!!
I like how instead of sanding down to real wood grain, you matched the original work or the first restoration of the painted faux wood grain. You remove only what cannot be restored, leaving as much of the original as possible, and matching its design! 👍😻

Old farm table has a glamorous make-over! It is so great to see the fun and collaboration that happens to save these honest pieces of furniture, humble but now regal under your expert hands; thank you Ahti!
Wow!!!! The length you went to with that Piece was INCREDIBLE!!!! I mean, even matching the Pattern of the Wood Grain!!!! Who does that?! Only someone who really TAKES PRIDE IN THEIR WORK, that's who!!!! Oh, and LOVED the Hardware!!!!
What a beautiful table! Impeccable work and very impressive as always! Discovering you and your channel was a special gift that I received this year, Ahti. Thank you for sharing these wonderful videos with us. A blessed Christmas to you and yours and happy new year!🎉👏🌷
You always do such beautiful work and I appreciate that you actually take the time to assess the piece before you just go tearing into it and replacing all the parts. You have a great day. Merry Christmas to you and yours
Amazing work! I never thought that it can be saved, but skilled people with magical hands showed me otherwise. I love that the table still remains very old, yet nice. It is far from perfect by modern expectations of how a table should look like, but that is what gives it value. It is a lovely restored old table that shows its age.
Oh freaking wow! That was amazing, such a beautiful job! I am completely blown away by the wood grain, it just looks so good. Your grasp of all the various techniques to restore and repair furniture is remarkable. Thank you for all your hard work and all these wonderful videos! Have a delightful holiday season!
Looks like a lot of the farm tables in the American West, which makes sense, because so many Eastern Europeans came here and presumably made things using the skills they brought with them! Beautiful restoration, as always . Edit: i was going to veneer a drop leaf table i have. Now, i might try the faux graining!
Though considered to be "restoration", this piece comes very close to "conservation". As usual, awesome work! That "locked" drawer is where my grandmother kept her knives. Probably with the intention of me not cutting my fingers off!
That turned out really nice. I was a bit sceptical that the top might need a complete strip back but you proved me wrong and the sympathetic restoration worked really well. You have come a long way restoring furniture and not redoing furniture. I'm so glad to be a part of your journey. Best wishes for the future from Eston. May you live long and prosper.
It was great watching you and your colleagues have fun with the artistic finish. The restoration turned out just right. Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones.
You always do great work and are not afraid to show your mistakes. Thankyou for showing you are human and are able to fix your work. I love what you do.😊❤
Always enjoy seeing artistic wood grain touch up; it looks like real skill is required to achieve a natural look. The restored table is looking splendid, as usual.
I love your work, i could watch you for hours! Im so happy to see that old proper carpentry skills are being passed on to the next generation. Merry Christmas! ❤
The furniture magician strikes again…
The best is that it looks old and original , but in good condition.

At this point someone has to say it and I am taking all the responsibility of this message:
AT does the best restoration videos on TH-cam!

Fantastic restoration!! That drawer pull was perfect! This piece looks gorgeous now!!!
So refreshing to see something old made beautiful without looking brand new.
Beautiful! Sincerely dramatic before/after shots... showing the incredible work you and your fellow restorers did on this piece!
LOVE the rustic look!!! great job as ALWAYS!!!
You and your staff certainly brought that table back to life and the drawer handle was the perfect piece of jewelry for it. Thanks! ♥️✨
Привет из России,Иркутская область.Обожаю ваши ролики.
Love this. The "artistic" side of your work is just as inspiring as the more "mechanical" woodworking side. 🙂

The faux wood grain technique is so interesting. You and your team did a great job.
How a humble piece of furniture can still look beautiful! Thx for all the videos in 2023 and keep surprising us in the new year!
I appreciate you keeping the original character of the table
Fantastic work! A real restoration! My skills would be limited to sanding and staining. Beautiful! 👏👏👏👏
Oh. My. Gosh.!!! This is my dream table!! Sooo beautiful!!❤️

Unbelievable another masterpiece. No sanding no stripping just awesome.
So cool that you have apprentices! Keep the knowledge going! I love your work!

I love how you saved as much of the original wood finish as possible. Beautiful!
Much awaited, much appreciated looking forward to excellent work as always from you.
Good grief, that table would not be out of place in any high class salon now. Great job, and to your helpers. You really are a master of your craft.
Merci!
Wonderful as usual. I really appreciate your talent for knowing exactly what to fix and that to leave as it is. 👍
Красота, браво. Похвально что оставил всю фурнитуру, плюс остался запах старины. Спасибо, лайкаю и с Рождеством поздравляю.

Looks great. I enjoyed watching the furniture restorers at work. Thanks for sharing.
I LOVE watching painted woodgraining. Such a patient art and skill.

This is absolutely gorgeous. You did such a good job on the faux wood grain!
You are a miracle worker my friend!
Happy to see you save that original grain paint.

Lovely work...as always. Happy Holidays to you, your loved ones, and the other, mysterious restorers!
You always do great work and are not afraid to show your mistakes. Thankyou for showing you are human and are able to fix your work. I love what you do.😊❤
Fantastic work. It doesn't even look restored, but like how it came out of the shop. Your work never fails to amaze.
Stunning work. As usual.
That worked out quite nice! Nice work on graining! I hope all three of you have a Blessed and joyful Christmas!
What a beautiful restoration and I really like the drawer pull that was added, it was the jewelry that finished the table. 😊
Magnifique travail comme d'habitude !!! On ne s'en lasse pas ...
A good honest peice of furniture I'd be happy to have in our home. Well done.
Such a pretty table made whole and useful again.
Looks great! It was funny seeing the newsprint on the top when you first started--you could start a trend by designing one like that 😆
You’re an absolute master in your work
А столик удался замечательный.
That painted top looks amazing
Wonderful job. Thanks for bringing us along.
Great talent by all the artists that recreated the original.
I love to see anything restored, thankyou.
You and apprentices, painting the top of the table?
Three medieval ladies working together on a tapestry!
Delicate and intricate craftwork, both! 😸
Very well, Ahti! Merry christmas from Uruguay!
Looks great. Sympathetic restoration.
It was so relaxing seeing the restoration work.
Initially, that table looked to be in rough shape but afterward, it still looked old but so much nicer. Magical!
Refreshed with loads of character, wonderful.
I like that you didn't remove the history of the piece. Good job!
Bonita história a sua. Parabéns pela dedicação à profissão. Estou aprendendo muito contigo
Always a pleasure to watch, thank you for the video, Merry Christmas 🎄
Excellent job, my friend! Thank you for sharing!

😸
Simple, but beautiful! Merry Christmas to you and your friends and family! 🇨🇦💕
May I be so bold as to suggest Thomas Johnson’s example of using Krud Cutter as a cleaner/degreaser! He is the Master!
Part of the rural heritage of Estonia, or perhaps a piece from the kitchen of a manor house. Excellent work!
Always a pleasure. Hope you have a good christmas with your family.
Very impressive. Excellent work.
Happy Christmas to you and a great 2024. Doug
I love your work, i could watch you for hours! Im so happy to see that old proper carpentry skills are being passed on to the next generation. Merry Christmas! ❤

That’s great. I thought you’d lost your mind. Perfect match?. Lol. I looked a lot of times. I’ll learn not to doubt the master!
I think this might be the first time I 6 seen you strip something all the way down. Looks nice.
Incredible restoration ❤
