I can't believe I got to play against you!!!! 😁 I hadn't played summoner duels for a while, besides I usually just play the game to get and build my faves, so I just kinda thought "let's play SDS for a while, what's the worse that could ever happen?" And then first match... WAS AGAINST PM1! I had never felt so defense-less, I knew I had no chance. I don't know if I can call myself lucky after you devastated my B!Marth team 😅 but it was a pleasure to face you nonetheless! Happy New Year PM1!
If it isn't bad enough that Winter Edelgard is already that strong of unit to begin with, but it's always a pleasure to watch your Summoner Duels playthroughs and to see how you utilize your teams, even though I barely play the game mode.
I really enjoy watching your SD runs even though I don't play it myself. It's really interesting listening to how you break down each team before-hand and getting rank 1 on a F2P account. I for sure would ban that W!Edelgard team every time just because of how strong she is right now, surprised some opponents left it open.
At first I thought this was a winter banner review until I saw SDS. Even though Summoner Duels isn't a favorite of mine, it's a nice change of pace for some new content and I always enjoy seeing how you play these game modes. Also, wow, that W!Edelgard is a force to be reckon with.
Yeah as soon as I saw your name I knew I was done for lol. The teams were mostly thrown together last-minute (I didn't even have openings for most of them) and I figured I'd just see how far I could get with a late-night run, which you happened to be the ender of 😅 ggs!
Very well done. I wanted to use Edel but focused on using a Claude on every team instead. Maybe someday, I can use all six Claudes in my SDS lineup but I'm waiting for Legendary's remix. Happy holidays 😊

I like watching your summoner duels vids! Can't stand playing it myself because of what you mentioned about teams stalling and staring at one another ot gets boring. But seeing the teams and strategies you put together are very entertaining!

Thanks for letting me know that I have skill issues on dealing against those +10’s Anna or Lucia 🥲 I just don’t know how to break through those units with my current barracks. No duo chrome or duo askr to charge up specials. And even with brave robin support, tes time Arya can’t break through them😭
it doesn't get enough representation mainly because it's another p2w game mode a lot of players don't enjoy, so unless you can whale or a really good strategist that understands the game tremendously well, you're better off just playing arena mode
@@catnapgaming7320 I dont really think its all to pay to win as an F2P player myself I have been able to lot of games with my Summer Eirika of course my team comps for her have changed over the years but I get a lot of enjoyment from playing it and watching it but I do understand why people dont like it. it is def not an easy mode in the traditional sense but stuff like the sd doc really try to make it more accesible
@@richpichu1272they have a point, it is pretty p2w, and while there is more accessibility from the units we've gotten over the years, still doesn't change the fact there are people who make it seem unfair, not to mention the stalling issue, which can make the game mode rather boring
I need to pick up tips from this. I'd been doing well in SDS (much less SDR because it's more dependent on merges) but these last two rounds it's been impossible for me and yet I have to get more wins to move a single tier. The matchup seems winnable but something happens that just throws me off and then I'm stuck playing catch up. Or they have some wacky build I just can't deal with and could never deal with even if I played well.

Yes, absolutely. She is one of the best units in the game and overall Christmas Banner is very strong. Summoning on it and aiming for Winter Byleth & Winter Edelgard is solid and even a F2P can be spark on this banner (Guaranteed 5* summon) after 40 summons.

Despite my hatred towards this game mode, glad to see some new content after a while
I was honestly not expecting winter Edlegard to be such menace in Sd but unlike B! Robin she isn’t limited by offensive specials

Winter Edelgard is such a fun unit to use, and it helps that she has great art.
@3:01 how were you able to do the B!F!Corrin/BCatria swap AND attack with W!Edelgard without the opponent making a move in between?

He is a good player. However SD also has a luck factor. All the teams he faced were pretty low Tiers and normally you always auto ban Catria teams.

Winter Edelgard isnt super durable. But with her movement and 2 actions. With miracle and a dancer she is scary positioned well

Neutral IV is better and yeah you could save the other for fodder especially if we get A/D Prime 3 in future on a 4* Seasonal or something.
