For a person who's just doing art as a hobby without any professional goals this is gold.
Believe me, it is even helpful for those who have it as a profession. Because sometimes you think too complicated and you have remember the basics again
Used to think that when a kid,architect is dream profession simply because of relatively nice drawing of a people ...yes by the time you realize drawing is not just single stroke skill even tools are from geomatric box ...your talent is stuck at when your kid

wylime In korra they put in a unneeded and unasked for romance in the end, like there was no plot where the romance led up to which made the ending very bad, but in the og aang had a crush on katara way before so the romance and the love story made sense

alana Have basic art skills like, knowing how to draw anatomy and digital art, you don’t have to be perfect but you need to know digital art because it is a digital art boot camp where you will learn the ways in which he colour and stylize his characters,
This is a two hour class but this has helped me more than watching dozens of videos. Through out the video made me understand the decisions to sculpting the colors and shape so much more than I ever expected. Thank you for this Ross! ❤️🤙🏼

I have watched hours and hours of "digital art" tutorials. So far not a single one is any different than a traditional art tutorial. They are about light, form, composition and basic art principles. In other words, they are not really "digital painting turotials" they are just "painting tutorials" I'm still trying to figure out what an actual digital p[ainting tutorial would look like.
Haven’t had time to draw in so long and also haven’t felt well enough to. Saw this and thought I could go for it because I’m feeling ok today. I realized how out of practice I was pretty quickly but your commentary solidified the direction I’d like to take with some of my art. Thank you so much for sharing this! I’m going to try to do this exercise often to get my skills back up and better!

I just wanted to thank you for making a video like this because in most of the other videos people skip showing or throwing light onto the process of starting a piece or how they plan out the whole process. (For a hobbyist trying to improve and figure out own art style)

I started drawing & digital about 5 yrs ago… I’m now working as an illustrator, but I have so far to go…..My own style is barely starting to develop in my eyes (I do get followers saying they can always pick my work, but I just don’t see it)…. Watching this was a breath of fresh air, there’s so much joy in your work Ross. I know I can learn much from you, & hope one day my work has my own flare.

*Clip Studio Paint Pro* and all other non-free versions have liquify as a "blend" tool. Default shortcut = J. Then switch from the "Blend" tab (at the top) to "Liquify".

I always focused on landscapes and I am decently good with it, and now that I am attempting to do figures always struggled first 20min is even really helpful, ofcourse this same essence can be also in landscapes what I brobably will do at somepoint but this is pure gold.
