My Window cleaning company is I-Shine Windows and More. I used to ask for the screens to be removed prior to us arriving, only if they didnt pick up the screen cleaning. However, after a few jobs of this. I noticed the customers weren't very happy about it. Every time Id go for the up-sell of cleaning the screens too. This seemed to just cause a slight friction. Like they weren't getting what they thought, even though it was clearly communicated (in person and in invoice) what was going to be cleaned. I no longer ask them to remove the screens. I just bumped my overall price to cover the cost. I still ask for the up-sell on cleaning the screens. If they take it, great extra money. if not its built in to cover time for those who don't want the screens cleaned. Hope that makes sense. Have a great day!

Ive had 2 personal jobs that i have picked up for myself and the 1 person that had screens i took them out myself. I like to take them out myself because im mechanically adept and can get old and tight screens out pretty easily without damage. Sometimes people dont even like to touch their windows.
Thank you Keith, you have been an inspiration to me. Just starting my own buisness!

Wow - that saves SO much time!
I will try to implement parts that are appropriate for my area but a lot of my territory is custom homes down drive ways that google maps can’t reach with a variety of window size. But I’d love to develop a more efficient system for my scheduling/bidding. I also like the idea of price points instead of calculating every window and screen.
Great video - you are always giving us food for thought - thanks!

I’m getting into owning my own business for professional window cleaning. I can’t tell you how helpful your videos have been from pricing, to service that I use to do when I worked for another window cleaning company, even to ordering materials. Thank you

I do all my booking over the phone. All cold calling and repeat customers. It saves time and resources. No bids and on-site quotes. I do it by the square footage of the house. I dont have customers count windows. I offer packages and let them chose.

Great vids, bought the audio book a few months ago and now i've got the paperwork done, name secured, working on website/fb/insta/and others, and ready to hustle and grind! Thanks for telling people to just go out and do it. Take a chance, and to have the power to control their own financial destiny. Quick question how do you feel about using copper wool or 0000 steel wool vs a scrapper?

If we are only doing glass, I have the customer remove the screens. If we are cleaning screens as well, then we will remove them and put them back in. Basically, we don't touch what we aren't cleaning.

I'm curious how your package pricing works for you. I feel like u would make out great on smaller jobs but it would suck on larger jobs. I feel like package pricing would also over generalize all your jobs. For instance, if you use a package deal for an entire house with "pop off" dividers(or grills), why should it be the same price for windows with the dividers(or grills) in between the glass. The one with the dividers that pop off take a quite a bit longer than the other because it adds a step to the process. Furthermore, some screens are half size or full size. One takes longer to clean than the other. Just some thoughts. I price per window and ask about the dividers, and price per screen by asking if its half or full size. To each is own though, whatever works for u

      How do you price this?
      Through a series of questions?
Because I don't even know what a full screen or half screen or dividers mean.
      Why would a customer that?
Can you please make a video a explain it thoroughly?
And post it in comments? Thanks so much

Window Cleaning BluePrint When I say divider, I mean the thing on windows(mostly double hung) that imitates French panes. However they are not fixed on the window. They simply pop off because it's not a real French plane that divides up the glass. You following me? The "divider" makes it look like there are 6 pieces of glass on a single pane of glass. About $9 a window with divider literally inside window, $10 a window with divider that pops off, $12 a window for French panes. About $8 for casement windows.
As for the screens, when I say half size. I mean when a double hung window only has a screen on the bottom pane. Full size screen covers the entire double hung window. 90% of the windows in my area are double hung windows. Idk about you. I charge $2 for half size and $4 for full size. Makes sense right? I have a great response overall with my prices. And I make out really well.
If you could make a live video regarding pricing and what it involves that would be awesome because I'm curious how others go about it.
      Thanks man
