      King Kasyapa (477-495 AD) of Sri Lanka🇱🇰 built his palace on top of the Sigiriya rock and decorated its sides with colorful murals. There is a lion's head at the entrance to Sigiriya, showing the symbol of the Sinhalese. This information has been scientifically confirmed by archeology and carbon dating. Myths are not relevant to Sri Lankans. Ravana religious beliefs of Indians are only relevant to India. There is no point in trying to relate them to Sri Lanka. I am a Sri Lankan and it is my duty to correct any false information about Sigiriya Rock, which is a magnificent creation of my country, which is famous all over the world. This TH-cam is telling the truth. You can visit the Sigiriya rock and see the archeological sites there and learn the facts.

      @nayanthidesilva8660 wrong kasiyappa may shelter at the bottom in the 6th century sometime before killed, who was scared to death hiding here and there, he can't built like that, archeological, architectural and historical evedents well discriped the palace and around over 5000years old segiriya palace discriped itself the age .there are several historical eved3ents still on the island related to the ravanan era. The palace has several written evedents in kirantham's language, which was Tamil earliest form.
      do not tell here your fake story . Singhala language was created in the 6th century with the help of Tamil pandian king with pali and Tamil later intergrated with Portuguese ,Dutch, and other languages.
      First and for most, find out your ancestors' history. You are from Portuguese and indo Aryan integration, Anceint ealam history belong to hindusiam_ saivam and Tamil. It was starting from Ravanan Era.
      There were several shelters happened after the 6th century around the area and overwritten, disroyed, and hide the history as well, singhalese didn't have anything before the 4th century, singhalese are indo Aryan/ indo Iranian ancestors, from North India
      Ealam belongs to Tamil and Hinduism. It is my responsibility to educate because the Sinhalase has been kept in the dark and educated wrongly by politicians and buddished established such a long time for their political ajanda.
      First, about yourself and your ancestors, silva and Perera, you can lie but hard to hide the evedents, segiriya still standing and describing the Ravanan era
      Simply kasiyappa hidden at the bottom,
      British discovered during colonial times that there was a palace at the top.
      So stop your fake propaganda by disroyed, and hide the real history .

    • @rathy_v
      @rathy_v ปีที่แล้ว

      The animal at the entrance, not lion either, the original entrance had sealed sigiriya originally called sivagiry malai. It has discriped several Tamils earlier inscription Tamil Tholcabiyam and ithihasam also Oxford University archives as well. Ealam or ilankai called back from Ravanan Era belongs to Tamil and Hinduism

      The Sri Lanka Department of Archeology has confirmed this information. Also, the World Heritage decision making organization has accepted this information and legally included this information in their publications. Indian mythology does not apply to Sri Lanka. Go to Sigiriya and find out the truth. Not only Sri Lankans but those who accept the truth based on archaeological information only accept information provided by the Sri Lanka Department of Archaeology. So avoid socializing the illusions that are formed in your mind. No matter how many lies, the truth cannot be hidden.

    Agreed. All are incredible, but not one nod or mention of the greatest architectural achievements on earth: The great cathedrals of Europe. Most were begun in the so-called Dark Ages (roll eyes) Just pick one of at least a dozen, all far more complex than any pyramid, or Great Wall, most of which is just packed earth. The cathedrals are the apex of Roman technology, which evolved from the unioquely Roman self-supporting arch - the key to modern bridges and many other modern structures. The Arabic and Moghul architecture is also Roman.
    The European/Roman cathedrals and basilicas dwarf all other structures, both in technical complexity and in personal impact. St. Peter's Basilica will draw the breath from your lungs, and it's a later one, in the early Florentine style. Cologne, Linxoln, St. Stephen's and many more are much older in the Romanesque/Gothic style..

Would probably have been better to limit the list to a single entry for every country.

    (3) The HAGIA SOPHIA is the first of its kind in Byzantine architecture. The Blue Mosque is just a bigger copycat with a blue tile veneer. I have visited both...and the HS was far more breath-taking than the latter.
