As a Cambodian and living in Siem Reap, I've been visiting Angkor Wat countless of times, and each and every time never didn't I feel amazed by this unbelievably amazing temple built by our ancestors. We warmly welcome everyone to visit our beautiful small country. ❤
we are Cambodian welcome to the world came to visit our country and our temples in our country Is not have only Angkor Wat temples, but we have a lot off temples 😊😊😊🙏🙏🙏
When I visited - I wasn't really welcomed. First negative experience - it's very hard and time consuming to exchange currency and if you don't do that and pay in us dollars, the locals will get advantage of you by double pricing everything. Second - when trying to enter Angcor Wat on a rented bicycle, I was told that I have to by tickets 5 kilometres away from the entrance and immediately was offered a taxi for $25 which is ridiculously expensive for Cambodia. So I had to ride another 10 kilometres to get tickets. And the third one - once I've finally got there I was to discover that everything is way to expensive, including the basics - a bottle of water. As a tourist, I don't mind paying a bit extra for the locals to get profit out of tourism. But I don't like to be forced to do that, tricked or when locals are trying to get an advantage of me. Beautiful country, negative experience.

In the ancient times, human built huge tall buildings, which are considered to be skyscrapers at that time, in order to be dedicated to a particular religion. In contrast, most skyscrapers nowadays are built for economic and commercial benefits. Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument ever built by mankind on earth. While the Meenakshi Temple is indeed amazing, the nearby Great Chola Temple of Thanjavur is even more architecturally sublime. That paired with the two other Great Chola temples makes for a truly amazing journey. Also, the Srirangam Temple a little north from Madurai is quite spectacular.

This magnificent colossal masterpiece has maintained this rank for nearly 900 years.

One of the best presentations we've seen in youtube. Congratulations! More, more!!!
I once visited The Eden Project in Cornwall, England. A spectacular complex of biomes & complementary structures with diverse history in beginnings & plants. I feel it should be among these.
I believe some of those included in this list - like Sydney Opera House, Eiffel Tower, Christ the Redeemer, Statue of Liberty - should be in a separate category. I don't think they have anything in common with the likes of ancient man-made wonders like Borobodur, Pyramids, Machu Picchu, Petra, and the rest. It's like a car show of vintage Rolls Royce cars with a sprinkling of Prius.
Statue of unity
Yeah, I think I'd agree with that, as long as Christ the Redeemer is on top of the new list
