Wow that is one fast E46!....so fast I'm surprised it doesn't tear its rear subframe out with that power. Must be well over 600hp to thrash a GT2 like that? And we know the M3 suffer cracked subframes with "only" 343bhp....
Its not an m3, and the subframe had no problems, its not the power making it crack, its the production of it that is bad, and the car had over 800whp in the dyno :) its a e46 330xi original.
@@FernisProductions1 Exactly, all E46s have a weak floorpan at the rear so what did you have to do to this one to stop it from falling apart given that it has x3 stock power..
@@soundseeker63 it tears because there 3 layers metal but subframe is atatched only to 1st one. Buddy reinforced his E46 330i(for drifting) and it wasn't too hard , just labour and time consuming l. Otherwise E46 is great solid platform.

That engine must have been reworked to the point of custom head, because I know for sure if it was a stock head under such boost, oil would of rushed like river burning and smoking like a diesel would, but I dont see any smoke, its not M54B30 in its original state. I would not try anything like this with M54 but would rather take M50, with almost no soft but it has proven to hold loads of boost, with artificial controls in almost stock condition it goes and goes , perfect for a project like this.
Whats the problem with m54b30? it has original head with upgraded valves and springs, and custom rods/pistons, thats pretty much it, why would it smoke? i have built m50 also the m54 looked much better original then m50 if you want to build turbo, better pistons and so on. this car pushed 2,5 bar of boost with a 67/66mm Precision turbo.
M54B30 is a nice engine, the only one that actually had cast iron casings in stead of all aluminum out of the series manufactured but it has only 1 mm casings that dont allow too much of the thermal room. Also the coolant ports not developed as well as on M50, the difference in coverage of the block is nearly 3-4 inches a part. Also M54 is aluminum and M50 cast iron. Best is to use the pistons, rods and crankshaft from M54 and apply it to the more strong M50 block. Dont get me wrong, there is nothing good about M50 except its block.
@@aleksankazakov m54 blocks hold up, add timesert if you take the head off. But if you leave it unopened(400hp build) you will be fine if you just don't overheat it

To get this level of performance you got to build one from the bare naked block upward with all new parts and that is today. With that dedication and resources spent it is pointless because there are better motors available , yes from BMW

4 door E46 300ix with a Turbo, I kind of like it purdy much, especially how it kicked the asses of the Audi R8 and the Porche GT2 :D

Its all stock from e46 330xi front/back diff/axles, stock gearbox from e46 330xi built m54b30 engine with vanos

Can it go over 700hp with forged internals ? What is the top it can go ? I know many with stock internals go 500-550 ...

When you add turbo or supercharge your vehicle expect bad gas mileage from 15mpg to 3 mpg .6 hwy

Everything is different on 325 vs 330xi when it comes to drivetrain, but everything can be done :), but the m54b30 is a much better engine then m52b25
E46 325i has M54B25 engine, it's very similar to M54B30
