I have a set of the Pittsburgh 12" Aluminum snips that I got in a pile of scrap. They looked like they had never been used so I set them aside they are now my favorite pair of large cutters I have. I like them better than any of my Stanley, milwaukee or Wss Cutters the blades come off with a Philips for super easy sharpening and they end up working better than new in about 3 minutes with a few pieces of sand paper on a flat surface They are less than $10 I recommend that Anyone try them
I love my wiha extra heavy duty micro finish screwdrivers. I work in alot of grease and oil and they are fantastic for maintaining grip while greasy and oily.
I started on replicating the IKEA picture frame idea yesterday. Your comment about toolboxes evolving is interesting because when I started categorising the tools per panel I quickly realised how many tools I'm 'missing'. I definitely don't want to be buying more foam and redoing a whole layout every time I add a tool so need to think about how to handle that, other than just buying every tool at the local hardware store!
@@ShadowFoam Well, the only thing I thought of so far is to head down to the hardware store and start tracing the outlines of the tools on to paper so I can reserve some space for them.
I have the roller suit case from Teng Tools and a couple of their carry cases for a mechanical tool setup when I travelled a lot for work. Never got round to fully setting up the electrical side as the job went pair shaped. I have found that the plastic inserts in the trays crack after a while. Have replaced a couple with Shadow Foam but some of the Teng Tool Trays have 2 layers of tools in the same foam which is awkward to cut out in the old style Shadow Foam.
@@ShadowFoam They are okay, they have some quite nice tool kits and options which is what attracted me to them, but I think they are a little pricey and not the same quality as Wiha or Knipex. I think they are aimed more at the automotive industry so you don't tend to see them being used out in manufacturing plants.
Timely video. My ShadowFoam arrived a few days ago and I’ve got a x5 SEALEY drawers to cut. I’m also working on a project on my Humidor so will hopefully have some foam left to house my accessories e.g lighter / cigar cutter / cigar case so will send some photos when completed.
i have halfords bottom roller cabenet x2 middle draws x1 and large top box x1 side cabinet x2 and dewalt tough system 2 they are a disgrace Just orderd some shadow foam sorting all the tools out slowly
I’ve bought some foam arrived yesterday still trying to figure out a layout 😂 already have two dewalt trays with foam now contemplating redoing the whole lot😂
My tool kit is mainly Klein, then Bahco, Wera, Wiha and Knipex. But, my most used tool is a DIY store home brand large flat head driver, something I found, I would never buy but I use it to poke, prod, force etc and it keeps my insulated Klein immaculate 👍
Why do i want this when i dont actually have a toolbox like this? 😅 I just have a tiny cheap platic tool case with my stuff thrown in. If I had a workshop i would do stuff like this instantly
it would be cool if we could upload a picture of our layouts for our tool box draws and then you cut the foam and ship it out. not for free ofc, i see that doing the cuts can take sometime.
Hi Johnathan. Our small Workshop got badly damaged with over 200 litres of heating oil leaking from the boiler. We have a very small TH-cam channel ( The Relaxing Woodshop) and the insurance company want to rip up the concrete floor (everything has to go). This gives me a chance to start fresh, and I want to do a whole new design with dark academia colours and a shadow foam wall. It is 350 cm long and 100 deep. What foam colour and depth would you recommend from yourselves ( on a budget)
So sorry to hear about your workshop! I’d recommend colour based on what will contrast best with the colours of your tools and depth, based on how deep your tools are! Could you drop my team an email at m.wood@shadowfoam.com and we’ll help you with this?
@@ShadowFoam using plastic trays and cutlery organisers to keep it tidy and managable. but as multiple people use the tools they always end up in the wrong places. shadow foam is the best solution.
Great Video, I have just done a Makita macpack 3 box with a DTW1001 and 5 battery storage on the lid, @ShadowFoam I have sent you a picture to you web site. I am on with doing a Halfords Advance draw with more Makita power tools. 😀

Solid tool kit there, is it organised?
Love it - great job - Would love to see how you would approach a Hazet Assistent 😮😂 I can provide you one for a challenge😂
Can you do one for fishing gear?
In the first person view the key tool would be hand eye quaradination
Am I the only one who’s inner school boy came out, when you cut the place for the Stanley fatmax straight snips 😮😂

Love the blue, what was that drill bit you used to remove the foam?
One of our foam spinners, available at www.shadowfoam.com
Nice, liked the head cam gives a different perspective, will have to try that out on some of our vids….
Was trying to show it more realistically how I cut and peel

15'22' Now I'm feeling sick 🤢
Less than 60 Minutes... Most of us don't have that kinda time .We got Kids and a Wife 😂😂😂
Haha so do I! And 60 minutes is a pittance compared to the time saved looking for tools
I'm confused. Your an electrician. But you allso work for shadow foam? 😕
