For storing the plaster mixer i would attach two different tool boxes somehow with two compartments for the two larger items and then cut foam as you did for the battery and motor section.

It would be good if there was a library of templates that could be used for cutting out the more challenging tools even better if they had the ideal depth marked on them. Something like an angle grinder is difficult as the tool often wants to be only half inserted into the foam and so cutting around using the item is never going to be ideal whereas cutting around a template for the most common tools would be a lot easier.

That paint sprayer would be awesome for me loosing some of the weight to a shoulder strap would be great with not having the ability to swap arms when one gets tired. Seeing it reminds me I’ve got about 80-90ft of 6ft high feather board fence to paint at some point 😢 so will definitely come in handy soon

Great video! Just bought some shadow foam for a knife box I'm making, although I'm finding it hard to cut some blade slots in it, any tips for cutting/peeling a deep slot that's only 3 mil wide? Best advice I could give is to peel with tweezers, I have had to cut and peel such narrow spaces very often so that’d be the only advice I have to share so far 👍
That plaster mixer got me thinking…. I can tell the paddle wouldn’t fit in corner to corner but level; BUT, have you ever & is it feasible, to crisscross items in the Shadow Foam? For example, say you have drumsticks and a snare drum. Could you cut the drumsticks in deep, and then cut the drum above? I know the concept works, I just mean is it possible in Shadow Foam, and have you done it? 👊🏼

I work as a multiskill maintenance engineer so carrying around both mecanical and electrical tools fills up the quickly. I have been using my hole saw on the Shadow Foam but word of caution you need to apply a lot of pressure to avoid the saw going off and scratching the foam
Yeah I've used a hole saw for the bigger sockets, but I can get a hole saw small enough (10mm) for the smaller ones, so wondered if a drill bit would have the same effect?

Concept is 100% possible and we have done builds where we have “hidden” items in foam underneath big items

We have organised tools on their side in the past, don’t do it too often in the channel because it’s not as visual but it definitely can be done
Multi skill maintenance engineer myself packed a t stack full of foam and my top organiser has all my most used in, has made my days so much easier

You could've drilled a hole and had the mixer shaft stick out the side or top of the box. Electric HVLP.
I was considering that tbh but was unreceptive to drilling a hole in my case permanently for a challenge
