It's interesting to see why Good Taste is chosen by some locals (they are mostly young students who want big servings at good student prices) and then there is something like Farmer's Daughter (which was chosen by a foodie). So when Jessica asked about their paborito, students will always pick "sulit" food over quality, while foodies will always choose the best.
Welcome to my humble city, Jessica. Upon seeing the video title I was like “I hope they went to Farmers Daughter and Volante. There are still tons of Baguio OG restaurants that you must visit. I hope you can do a part 2 or sven 3 and 4 of Baguio Paborito episodes. How I wish Kyrke recommended the Pesto in Volante becaause that’s one fo their best sellers. In just so glad that you went here and I hope you had and your time had an amazing time. Xx
Di ko pa tapos panoodin pero I had to stop to comment, baka makalimutan ko. Ang galing ni Ate na nag recommend ng farmer's Daughter, a true fan tlga ❤❤❤
I'd like to eat there in FD last July 2023 but was worried the kids palate are not ready. GT because of the line and limited parking can be hard for those with cars.
Wow i miss you so much Baguio 😊 First time ko din mamasyal dyan noong 2022 nainlove agad ako sa vibes parang nasa ibang bansa ka. Next year magbabakasyon ako pasyal ulit ako dyan 🙏👌💕
What I love about you Jessica is that you give honest reviews. You don't choose based on the hype or to please anyone who recommended. People may not agree with your choices sometimes, but of course, taste in food is always subjective. But still, you always do an awesome job in delivering the objective of your contents. Kudos to the whole team!
Hi Jessica! Just to technically differentiate, Kinilaw refers specifically to dishes made with raw seafood (e.g., fish, shrimp, or squid) that are marinated in vinegar or citrus juice. Kilawin, on the other hand, refers to dishes that involve lightly cooked or blanched meats (e.g., goat, beef, or pork) mixed with vinegar, calamansi, and spices. Typically in places where fresh seafood is not available.
Jessica, I absolutely love how much passion you have for Baguio! You really captured the beauty of the place, not just the food, but the whole experience. It’s so clear that you enjoyed your time there, and I can totally feel your excitement about bringing your family next time. The mix of nature and the cool weather is really something special, and you made it sound even more inviting. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Probably my favorite Paborito episode. And one of the most revealing --- Baguio bulalo daw is better than Tagaytay bulalo. Baguio could be the most idyllic place, if they make it almost carless and people just bike around with bike elevators for steep hills like in Norway. That'd make it truly a place to be, without car air pollution. It can be done; it just need a paradigm shift in thinking -- meaning, it needs a champion who will do everything for the city. It's a matter of will!
A victim of the Baguio curse here 😞 we broke up a year after. The memories of GOOD TASTE still hits me. You should try their coffee, one of the best for sure..
Fave Paborito ep by far this year!! Baguio has a special place in our hearts as it was a huge part of our childhood. Missing it now and wanted to go because of thisss. And yeahh! Please go to Sagada also ❤
Thanks Jessica for this vlog! I never thought baguio is more than just a cold weather. I hope I'll be able to visit baguio to experience their food soon when I'll get back to the Philippines.
Wow.. I hope this would be the start that Jessica would have Paborito episodes that are very far from Manila. I hope Visayas and Mindanao editions are coming soon 😊
Finally I've been waiting Jessica Lee to visit Baguio City and to eat the favorite restaurant of the tourist, most especially it's so happy to stay in Baguio City for how many days because of the cold weather and the friendly people there.
*Oh My Gulay* is not a favorite of many. But the vibe of the resto is quite unique. You can't find anything quite like it in Metro Manila or Metro Cebu. They served mostly vegetable dishes. For meat lovers, *Oh My Gulay* is not for you. 😁
Hindi ko to papanuorin ngaun kasi wala kaming mapapanuod bukas ng family ko habang nag aalmusal. Keep up the good work Ms. Jessica, big fan kami ng buong family ko.
I was so emotional watching this episode 😭 Anything Baguio related makes me so emotional,it was my home for 4 years when I was in college. So glad you did a paborito ep there 🥺
“Oh My Paborito “ It captured my attention and I couldn't take my eyes off of it, even while driving! I cannot thank you enough, Jessica, for sharing this incredible source of endless entertainment. It truly made my day and I can't wait to watch it again. Keep up the great work! our Jessica Paborito 🥰🤩
Watching your videos namiss ko na tuloy Jan sa Baguio I've been there way back 2010 ..kamiss mga pagkain Jan...50's diner Jan kami mahilig Kumain,Lalo na din Po ung maliit na restaurant katabi ng university of Baguio they served mga ramen...
Fun fact:most used used language in baguio is ilocano but that doesn't mean the locals are ilocano.many people say baguio is ilocano but it isn't,thats because people in cordillera(igorots)have different language so in order to understand each other they use ilocano.
Early kasi kinikilig yan 💗😂. I love the subtle romance between Kyrke and Jessica. The transition of asking him to eat together then wishing to find a boyfriend in Baguio. Kami lang ba kinikilig? 😅
For a local restaurant I can recommend 'Jacks Restaurant' & Luisa's Cafe 👍both along Session road but actually there are many around town & those nice, macho/good looking jeepneys are usually Igorot owned, they just have a different taste of stuff unlike lowlanders, even personality is quite different Igorots are a bit reserved/shy type, respectful & more disciplined folks. foreigners/tourists even local celebrities can basically walk around the city like a normal person w/out being bothered by anyone only those who are visitors as well & those who are not really from the Cordilleras but especially when you go further in the highland towns like Sagada, locals won't mind bothering you doing your thing not like in other regions around the country w/ overly friendly locals which honestly is a bit annoying sometimes, "Hi", 'hello', 'shout out'😅😁🥴🥱
Awesome video as always, we went there last month, dami ng tao sa Good Taste we decided na kumain nalang dun sa katabi na ihawan/grill, the food is garbage, ang kunat ng mga karne, even their rice is not good 🤢di na mauulit. Also, the best place to buy pasalubong: yung mga stalls sa strawberry farm, mas mura kesa sa mga stores sa baba.
Also, another way to identify if someone is a tourist or a local driving around the city is that locals dont honk their hotns unlike mga “taga baba”, that’s how we call people from lowlands. Baguio drivers are just so chill and they rarely honk their horns.
Really love this episode. Just honest opinions of food and places. And I now know what possible restaurants where I can eat when I will go to Baguio. ❤😄
My favorites in Baguio are Cafe by the Ruins, Lemon and Olives and the buffet breakfast at the Manor. The Chinese resto at The Travellite Hotel Legarda is also very good
Always a treat to go to Baguio, especially if you can go on the weekdays when there are less people. XD I hope you and the team did some veggies shopping before going back down to Manila! I've eaten in most of the featured restos here, except for Farmer's Daughter and that cafeteria one. Too bad you missed out on Grumpy Joe, the food there is also good, and a nice change of pace from the rest of the restos you had on the video. I'm surprised no one recommended Hill Station. Though I guess Baguio people won't recommend that because it's too pricey. Paborito is definitely Balajadia, but I will have to give Farmer's Daughter a try when I go back.
Highland foods are great, you should try the coffee of mountain province. Also already on session road but you missed Point and Grill. Very underrated carenderia 😅
Farmer's Daughter! I was hoping somebody would recommend it! It's the best in Baguio. Too bad nobody recommended Hill Station and Oh My Gulay. These are my top 3.
Lezzzgooo!! I've been very busy cooking food for people lately, but it is soo greaat to see you again, Jessicaa!! Still catching up on your previous uploads and it's always loveeely to see your looove for food!🥄 Taking notes on that bulalo you love from Farmer's daughter in Baguio! Haha! 🧐✍️
1 week vacation, 10 times at Good Taste. 👍. There are lots of good eateries in Baguio but most of them cater mostly for tourists that can pay the higher price.
fun to see jessica enjoyed these foodie recos. except for balajadia, which i haven't experienced yet, the places mentioned / went to i could attest with the same thumb up. the only interesting thing i noticed -- nobody mentioned oh my gulay.
You could have tried Marios and just near that place try Military Cutoff road just turn left from the circle from Marios you have a wide choice of restaurant and local delicacies too. Some of the restaurants in Porta Vaga have their own individual restaurant in Military cutoff and also near the Marios is one of Baguio's famous bakery Victoria's bakeshop. And the road going near the bakeshop is going to John Hay. Hope you could try them all.
So true about how to distinguish Locals and Tourist cuz as a tourist I went there wearing short skirt with a beanie 😂 while my tita who is a local wearing jeans and cardigan 😂
Kind of a missed opportunity that no one recommended the Bakareta at Manga Ed's. It is already right beside Balajadia. I think that is a real hidden gem in Baguio.
The problem with Baguio is huge amount of tourists. And it equals to slow moving traffic and no car parking. Which is why i learned to commute instead of driving then walk all around baguio.
finally one of my hometown you are baguio born if you know the standing bar used to be . secret places they serve dog meat sorry if i gross you out . even the gin joints in the city. those food places are notable , going when i go home

Jessica's reaction to the car stopping to allow pedestrians to pass...i wish the whole philippines followed road rules.

Ok. I just finished it. And my paborito interviewee is... si Ate na nag recommend ng farmer's daughter hehehe...
Haha I didn't finish watching either as i felt the need to comment. Farmers daughter looks like a place I need to visit next time sa pilipinas!
I'd like to eat there in FD last July 2023 but was worried the kids palate are not ready. GT because of the line and limited parking can be hard for those with cars.

Yung reaction talaga ni Ms. Jessica is priceless.
"Ohhhh, Really?"
Thank you Jessica Lee and team for showcasing Filipino culture and food based on local recommendations and perspective. Keep up the great work!

Glad paborito came to Baguio and yes,, Farmer's Daughter is one of the best restau in the city of Pines. ❤️
Hope you enjoyed your stay here.

Done watching the full vid ❤.

Keep up the good work Ms. Jessica, big fan kami ng buong family ko.

Ay LOL. Hahaha may girlfriend po siya. Nakikita ko po kasi sa Fb
Yeey, FARMERS DAUGHTER!! Sad that I didnt get to see you in Baguio. Hope you come back soon.
Recommend also to go to Sagada. ❤
Baguio is always a GOOD idea. Always my healing place. I'll never get tired of it. Hope to visit again soon.

How to identify a baguio local vs a tourist: locals don't care about celebs lol.
Local delicacies?! Haha! You should try Pinikpikan, Pinuneg, Smoked Etag, etc.🤤 Igorotak!💪 For something different, try Baguio Mountain Man''s rooftop private dinner.🤤
Awesome video as always, we went there last month, dami ng tao sa Good Taste we decided na kumain nalang dun sa katabi na ihawan/grill, the food is garbage, ang kunat ng mga karne, even their rice is not good 🤢di na mauulit.

Kyrke Jaleco is my senior! I rlly love his craft! You’re comrades pala. It’s a miss that uou didn’t try mama lou’s apple pie in Volante!
Really love this episode. Just honest opinions of food and places. And I now know what possible restaurants where I can eat when I will go to Baguio. ❤😄

Watching this while having our vacation in Baguio right now. Haha kala ko nandito ka huhu pero matagal na na-shoot to for sure.
You should try visiting sagada also.. ❤❤ thanks for this video episode..love it.
I agree Baguio bulalo is better than Tagaytay. Tyaka sobrang mahal ng bulalo sa tagaytay pero di naman masarap LOL
Tapos pinagmamalaki pa nila sa baguio legit talagang bulalo
So true. Sobrang mahal sa Tagaytay.
Watching @ 1:54am 'cause can't sleep and glad to watch your video till the end. 😊
Always a treat to go to Baguio, especially if you can go on the weekdays when there are less people. XD

Farmer's Daughter! I was hoping somebody would recommend it! It's the best in Baguio. Too bad nobody recommended Hill Station and Oh My Gulay. These are my top 3.

Hi Jessica, Since you're already in Baguio, I think you should also visit Elyu. However, I'm not sure if you'll encounter many locals there. :)
14:47 Reminds me of claudine baretto meme “thank you so mu-“ 😅
Since you were introduced to Grumpy Joe, might as well try Marios, these places are near Grumpy Joe too. Enjoy Baguio

Local here. I noticed that most of the "Bulalo" in Baguio are actually Nilagang Baka.
yep, no huge bones with marrow
Staff - You have to ask permission first.
Jessica - will it be allowed or not?
Staff - I don't know.
Ang galing 🤣🤣🤣
Question: does ur team eat your leftovers or do they order their own food? Ive been curious eversince the 1st episode of paborito series.
they eat Jessica
My favorite resto in Baguio is Bahay sawali by military Cut-off . Very inexpensive and the food is great.
I'm excited for this 30-minute episode of Paborito! 🙌🏻🤩
So true about how to distinguish Locals and Tourist cuz as a tourist I went there wearing short skirt with a beanie 😂 while my tita who is a local wearing jeans and cardigan 😂
Nice, if your still in baguio try Cafe by the ruins, cafe Stella if you love coffees
Kind of a missed opportunity that no one recommended the Bakareta at Manga Ed's. It is already right beside Balajadia. I think that is a real hidden gem in Baguio.
Oo nga ano. Sayang.
The problem with Baguio is huge amount of tourists. And it equals to slow moving traffic and no car parking. Which is why i learned to commute instead of driving then walk all around baguio.
As a local here in Baguio born and raised i approve this video❤😊
finally one of my hometown you are baguio born if you know the standing bar used to be . secret places they serve dog meat sorry if i gross you out . even the gin joints in the city. those food places are notable , going when i go home
Yeah, i would prefer to est the chapsuey too. Much healtheir than other foods in that 1st restaurant
Omg! So bad you were not able to try Grumpy Joe.. food there is the best🩷
Nice! If all else fails, ask the driver. That's what I do 😅
15:56 Like the singer, Michael Bubalo? 😂
Goal for 2025 is to make typo-free videos 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
Jessica, real mouthful of awesome looking fresh vegetables chopsuey! So making me feel very hungry.
While in Baguio you speak ILOCANO. It's the cardinal rule.
Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year 2025 greetings from Orange Park, Florida, USA.

Waaah na-manifest na rin Baguio request ko🎄🤍
This is like Philippines’ version of Korea’s Pungja show “Repeat Restaurant”
Pet's Bulaluhan. My go-to carinderia when I was in College (UC / SLU). It was cheaper then.
If you ever do Paborito Series in Davao, 1 episode is not enough because there are a lot of different foodie districts there namely:
- Poblacion/Roxas Ave
-Torres/Doña Vicenta Village
-Obrero/Buhangin
-Lanang/Damosa
-Juna Subdivision/MTS
-Tulip Drive/Coastal Road Area
-Diversion Road/Shrine Hills
it's basically a foodie haven
