Many people will talk about their ending to the game: What coloured button they pushed and so on... My ending is right here. It's the one where I switch off the X-Box after Keith David says this.
The Hero of Earth, Admiral David Anderson. June 8th, 2137 - date unknown, 2186 “You did good, son. You did good” He died so that a world could live. That man better have a statue in ME4

Though humanity is imperfect the Systems Alliance seems to be one of the few Space Age governments in fiction that is not only stable but very effective at what it does. It appears the government got that way by avoiding the bureaucracy of Earth, it is like a colonial government that managed to become so efficient it was granted control of the home country. Though the Alliance is in no way perfect, it is an interesting positive view on what a future human government could be. It plays to humanities strengths which is rarely considered in a government.
.... you do realize that the US has 2 house for legislation, the house of representatives ( represents population of a state, hence why California has 30+ representatives, and Kansas has 1 ) and the senate ( represents the states interest, all states have 2) . the senate is what you are basically talking about. america is failing because people are failing and have been failing to understand that there are things that the federal government should not do, that can be done on a state level. social security, medicare, the national high way and a number of others that all belong on this list. corruption is easier to deal with in the state government than it is in the federal government. the founding fathers mistake was not clarifying that powers need to be clearly divided between the states and federal government otherwise you have what america has turned into.

Your right I apologise, Reapers are heartless machines that devour all advanced civilized life to turn them into another gigantic machine that destroys all civilized life. EA do all that except their end product looks crap, it's buggy as hell and you need to pay for it in parts.
The Mass Effect trilogy was epic tale set in an unforgettable universe, with characters that will last the ages. Concluding with one of the greatest galactic space battles in Sci-fi history. Whether you liked the ending or just like to complain. Mass Effect will always be remembered throughout history as one of the best and most memorable games of the early 21st century.
I love the small tidbit that the humans are the first race since the Krogans to effectively fight and even beat Turian forces, thus earning their respect. Mass Effect is a masterpiece.
"These forces are not expected to defeat any potential invasion on their own, but rather to provide intelligence and reconnaissance on enemy movements, in preparation for an overwhelming counter attack." "This strategy is indicative of the Alliances overall doctrine, which emphasis' mobility and individual initiative in support of coordinated maneuver warfare." "On the offensive, Alliance units will instead bypass enemy strong points in favor of disrupting supply lines and logistics, and destroying headquarters and support units in an effort to keep the opposing force perpetually off balance." Templin Institute knows how to properly win wars.
In modern warfare (not the game), it's not about size or strength of armed forces, but gathering intelligence on enemy forces and figuring out how to cause the most damage with the least resources spent.

"Immense peacekeeping potential". Now there's an amazing phrase. I can just imagine that being used by an armament contractor who's doing a sales pitch for a new type of drone or something.

indeed ME is sadly dead. MEA is mass effect only in name. Developers shitted on the entire trilogy lore, thus they effectively seperated MEA from the trilogy's universe.
I love the fact that Humanity in the Mass Effect universe made use of everything that we had to offer to rise in the Galactic Community, we manage to get around limits, and play the political game better than most other species, I mean literally the Turians were from the best warriors in the galaxy, and Humans took them on and even managed to give the Turians trouble, we basically are not so constricted by specific things that our society is based around, if you think about it, the Turians are mostly good warriors, Salarians are great scientists, and Asari tend to be great diplomats, but the diverse range of humans are able to fulfill very much all those roles, basically Humanity is the master of all trades, while other species within Mass Effect are the species which realistically is the most culturally advanced, the other species are good at all the other trades but we humans groom ourselves to be specific things, while the core of Turian Civilization is military service which ends up meaning that their leaders are officers and soldiers first more than scientists or diplomats, the Asari are specialists at subterfuge and Diplomacy, but tend to overrely on their biotics, the Salarians are the ones I would say Humanity would not be able to defeat, since Salarian Special Forces probably would figure out a way to defeat us without much effort.
These videos are a fantastic archive of governments, factions etc in terms of presentation and research. Guess it helps that there are so many groups that you can use for videos that it leaves the door open for so many great ideas. Personally there are two the come to mind The Judges from the Judge Dredd comics The Principality of Zeon from the Gundam franchise.

I would love it if Bioware did a thing like this: 2017 - Mass Effect: Destruction 2019 - Mass Effect: Command 2021 - Mass Effect: Synthesize 2024 - Mass Effect: Destruction 2... ... 2030 - Mass Effect: D3. Just make a trilogy for each of the game endings. They could have milked ME more than Nintendo milks Pokemon, because instead of doing double releases, they could have done triple. Andromeda suffered because it put a small amount of lore into a container, took it to another country, then tipped it out on some guy's lawn. It could have been done well, but making 3 sequels to ME3 would have been way safer. And it would have been easy to make too. Just keep the engine the same across all three and call it "Mass Effect Fours", and the "Mass Effect Fives", etc. Tell people not to play the other ones and you could even get away with using similar plot lines, then when you get called out by fans, tell them that Mass Effect 4 is one game of three timelines, and timelines don't 100% diverge, there's going to be similarities and you were warned to only play one. But it's too late now.
More like an Archive like in the Foundation. Created to preserve all known information so that should a civilization fail, at least you dont reset to the stone age, reducing the time needed for recovery.

Negative Zero Well I didn’t have any grief. I got the Extended Cut where the relays are fixed and my love interest is going to reunite with me. Plus when you put the words “David Archer” and “Reincarnation” into the mix, you have a spectacular ending if you have the capacity to use at least some imagination. Marauder Shields can burn in Hell where he belongs.
Nice move to avoid the ending controversy. Impressive video especially given how little there is on the Alliance as a whole told in the canon. Coming up with new suggestions for future videos. How about a video on Dead Space factions as a bit of a tribute? A video on the Destiny aliens would be lengthy especially the Hive. Or the Nazis from the new Wolfenstein games?
Vex even though I'd love to see more about the Foundation, I also think that videos like these don't quite work with it because there isn't an established canon. It's even one of the premises on the website. This said I'd love them to have a go at it
Some guy in another Templin Institute video said that he doesn’t like the systems alliance symbol because it only displays one hemisphere of the earth, making the countries on that hemisphere feel more important than others. But I always thought of it like countries are not a big thing on earth anymore, all of humanity is united under the systems alliance. As such they all recognize the planet earth as a symbol. There is no need to worry about some countries being left out of the symbol because this symbol represents humanity. They are all united as one earth and one race, one planet

I randomly found your channel the past couple of days ago and fell in love with all the narration and well scripted and great presentation. You got yourself a subscriber. If you don't mind can I request one of the nation's from The Front Mission universe
So there's an interesting bit of slant here. The Turian Federation video talks about Turian tactics and bold gambits. _Here_ those tactics are equated to the Krogan as using comparable attritional warfare. Correspondingly the Reaper Invasion is described as beginning with a shock invasion "despite every preparation" when in fact the Turians (and later revealed the Asari) were the only ones who did more than absolutely fucking nothing -besides scapegoating and imprisoning Shepard. Clever moves, TTI. But I noticed.
Not gona lie, ending almost made me to replay mass effect series again, : / damn, why EA, why you had to kill another series. Will there be ever enough?
EA is like a drug addict going for an almost constant high and thus keeps going for bigger and bigger drugs. Eventually EA is going to run out of drugs to make them high and commit suicide because of the depression or they are never going to reach that point because the DEA are going to bust in and pop a bullet in their head.
Don't blame the entire company for what happened, for that 80% of them (developers) are not responsible by any means. You wanna blame, blame their superiors who are totally responsible for how most of us see EA nowadays.

I randomly found your channel the past couple of days ago and fell in love with all the narration and well scripted and great presentation. You got yourself a subscriber. If you don't mind can I request one of the nation's from The Front Mission universe
A Masterpiece as always! Keep it up!
Out of all the games this is the best mass effect I love it and it's worlds.
Wow I'm glad I discovered this channel. Videos are well produced and scripted. The voice over is also quite pleasing.
This reminded me why I loved the original Mass Effect trilogy so damn much. It was epic.
Mass Effect universe is so amazing and bright. If you overlook the whole Reapers doomsday ordeal, it's a very optimistic place for humanity.
I mean BF2 is getting MUCH better.
Don't blame the entire company for what happened, for that 80% of them (developers) are not responsible by any means.
You wanna blame, blame their superiors who are totally responsible for how most of us see EA nowadays.
@@owenparris7490 I know right
This summary was so satisfying both visually and auditory, it almost made me cry :D INSTASUB!
Amazing video very informant and keep doing your videos.
Salarian or Asari or Krogan. Those would be really cool! The Salarians and their special ops would be interesting to learn more about too.
Great Video! Love the factions of Mass Effect
Being absolutely insane always appears to be humanity's best weapon in sci fi
I love it - humans unfairly bound to legally limit the amount of dreadnoughts? Alright, we'll just reinvent carriers to get around that.
