Hey guys. This is just the beginning. I will cover tons of lore from tons of franchises. But this is a trial of the merger and experimenting with new content. Nothing that can't be undone if it doesn't work out!
Been looking forwards to this endeavor from you! The intro is EPIC! Also....Since it's been a personal thorn for over a year, I'd LOVE for you to tackle (Unless I've missed it someplace else) the subject of the Sub-light speed capabilities of The BSG (RIS) universe's ships especially the Galactica. Yes I know the games aren't that big...But still. 😅
Maybe consider a different thumbnail theme for each series/universe ? Or at least add the game title somewhere. It will ruin your video metrics if ppl click on it and quickly leave often (thinking it was a halo video, but then leave 15 seconds in seeing it’s not).
@@ALLMINDmercenarysupportsystem when I'm going to a channel page that I'm subscribed to, i rarely look at the title when i open a video in a new tab (which is how i view videos normally).

@@uoriwoh I'm not a physicist, but from propulsion standpoint all that matters is kinetic energy. Speculative stuff is element zero and resulting negative mass, as well as FTL, but these are in many sci-fi franchises for lore and gameplay reasons. Other than that, any charged particle can be accelerated in electric field and can provide thrust, and naturally stuff bound by gluons like protons will provide much more charged particles in tight package than electrons or positrons alone could. Electron-positron collision is basically clean and provides radiation, photons, and this means that it can be utilized with mirrors and stuff in theory. Protons and anti-protons are different, these produce lots of charged particles in collision, and then you can use magnetic propulsion to push them out, and this stuff is much more dense to store than electrons maybe. Altough here we get to quantum mechanics and in theory you can push massive amounts of electrons together as you can photons, but how do you contain it? Protons will form neutron star sort of mess and meet degenerate pressure in extreme conditions. Mass Effect however doesn't push things this far, and stays kind of in speculative limits what can be achieved.
Glad to see any lore from you, no matter what its from. Your attention to detail and the sciences behind everything have made you by far and away my favorite lore channel
To me it's either how great the original was,how the second game screwed everything up by demolishing everything the first game established or how the third game had no idea what it was doing because nothing was done in ME2.

"I give you, the SSV Normandy SR2" I don't know how you did it, but you gave me the feeling that I had when I saw the scene unveiling the SR2 all over again.
As someone who played the second game first, it was quite the sweet ship, and you could really tell even from the get go before all the upgrades we gave our home.
Great video! One minor correction I noticed. The blue shift limitation of the stealth system only applies to the SR1. The SR2's heat sinks are improved to be able to catch those emissions, thus allowing the SR2 to maintain stealth while entering/exiting FTL. This is not explained in the codex at all. The only mention of this in the games is when you ask Adams how the SR2 compares to the original Normandy at the beginning of ME3. I'm currently in the middle of a multi playthrough marathon of the trilogy, so these videos are great supplemental material!
Realistically, if you're accelerating a projectile to relativistic speed, it doesn't matter if it's solid, liquid, gas, or what have you. It's like wondering whether you should put a tungsten tip on your Tsar Bomba so it does more damage on impact.
I accidently broke my Normandy SR2-collectible model when I last moved. The one that was made around the release of ME3. In lots of pieces. I am still in mourning over that, and it stopped being sold since a very long time ago so i cant replace it! Also a welcome suprise that you are branching out, nice
2 weeks ago I asked in a mass effect Facebook group if there was anyone that did a installation 00 style deep breakdown and here I am finding out the man himself has done one, fantastic video hopefully we get to see a lot more
It is notable that the SR-1, and later the SR-2, represented a revolution in space warfare that began with the First Contact War. For centuries, the Council races were relatively stagnant in terms of military technology. The turians' experience fighting the Alliance, while brief, was a huge shock. Humanity had woefully obsolete technology and a small navy, but nevertheless demonstrated exceptional innovation. The N7 special forces had considerable success, but most notable were the Alliance carriers. The performance of the carriers and their fighters and bombers, stunned the Council races. They already had fighters and bombers, but only in small numbers, crammed into cruisers and dreadnoughts. Very quickly, the asari, turians and salarians began building their own carriers. The SR-1's stealth technology, developed in a joint endeavour by the humans and turians, was another huge shakeup. After reviewing the Normandy's performance at the Battle of the Citadel, the Alliance accelerated construction of the Normandy-class stealth frigates. In a surprising move, the quarians somehow built their own stealth frigates, although it's unclear if they developed the technology independently or stealing it from the Alliance and Hierarchy. The biggest shock, however, was the salarians, who rapidly built an entire fleet with stealth technology, even dreadnoughts. The fleet did not see major action against the Reapers, but likely would've been devastating.

That intro to the ship with the music... Literally choked me up holding back tears, this ship and the stories tied to it will be forever cherished by all of us fans
I believe that in the Mass Effect universe, Normandy-class frigates are coated in multiple synergistic layers of self-healing smart gelatins, as well as related substances such as sol-gels. These layers have microelectromechanical systems suspended inside. In this application, the exuded layers are analogous to mucin - a substance that some sea creatures exude from their skins. The interrelated coatings are in the category of substances that, in the Mass Effect universe, are colloquially known as omnigels. Omnigel strata are maintained by automated systems within hull plating, which constantly monitor and adjust their layers, continually providing the best possible special properties - for example, maximum sensor stealth. In most situations, the self-healing coatings are indispensable for reducing the cost and time of both hull maintenance and hull damage control, which means that they increase the lifespan of the frigate hulls. A considerable percentage of damage can be repaired automatically. The use of microelectromechanical systems within the coatings would allow for these vessels, and some other objects to have their structural integrity and performance closely monitored in real time. This would enable crews to detect any potential issues before they become serious problems.
Your most detailed breakdowns are my favorite things to listen to while I work. I don't have a big science oriented super brain like yours so I understand about 15% of the whole thing. Maybe even 40% on my second listen lol but I enjoy them all the same. Thank you!
The Normandy is in my top three scifi vessels, only beaten by the original Battlestar Galactica, and tied with the Defiant class from ds9. It just slightly beats the Whitestar due to the way Normandy looks.
Gotta at least go all moralities, genders and each class for full playthroughs. Fun fact, letting the Council die by focusing on Sovereign is actually the most beneficial ME1 ending
When I first subscribed to your channel a few years back these break downs were something you were already experimenting with, you would often compare different armor sets from various universes to the Halo armors, I'm glad your doing this again. So back then I asked in the comments if you could do a halo armor vs vanquish armor vs crysis armor break down, and im still looking forward to it lol 😁
Love that ship. It feels much more grounded than other flaghip sci-fi vessels. It took some L’s, got beaten down a few times, had to be built again yet managed to complete its mission.
Mass Effect is a series that definitely has some cool equipment that could be explored. Another series worth exploring would be Gears of War, things like the Raven, Lancer, and the Silverback just to name a few
Mass Effect is my favorite series of all time with the legend of Zelda coming in second place and Halo coming in third. Amazing that you are potentially branching out to my all-time favorite.
I think a cool lore discussion would be what are the 'pawns' the catalyst used to kill the Leviathans and where are they now. They are presumably even more powerful then reapers as they were used to kill the Leviathans which can mentally dominate even Sovereign-class reapers. If this is the case why does the catalyst no longer use them? In addition, another cool theory is if the Leviathans even used Eezo based tech or rather used alternative tech in addition to eezo based tech as we know the reapers made the relays and yet prior to that the Leviathans were able to control and travel the whole galaxy seemingly with no problem.
I see you are transferring the multiverse videos between channels. Akin to a prior statement, the SSV Normandy SR-2 is a very detailed and well thought out hero ship. Capable where it counts. It'd be interesting to know if ME4 reveals the Normandy's whereabouts.

I loved that ship, and I was out to make the Collectors pay for the SR1, I made damn sure to Hiroshima their asses the first time.
The SR-2 can use her stealth system longer and with FTL at activation and deactivation due to being able to handle a higher blueshift. There's also the mod that allows her to have further improvements using things that are actually part of the lore.
"I cannot interface with the ships systems. Mr Moreau's talents will not go to waste." .... later, sometime BEFORE the crew abduction scene; the Collector ship to be precise... "EDI, get us the Hell out of here!" "Engaging FTL drive" :::blinks:: WTF?!?

Lol I had an epic music playlist going on in the backround and didnt realize it, it fit really with with the video for first 3 mins or so and I was like "why does he have music playing?"
This is solid. Would love breakdowns of Battlestar Galactica ships, including fighters. Your lore breakdowns would be awesome in that regard
Installation00 I hope you keep doing more videos like this one.😊
Damn, the music in Mass Effect was bloody AMAZING!
I have been wishing for this one!!!
I can't wait to see more Mass Effect content!
I've loved the detailed breakdowns for Halo, so getting that but for one of my other favorite sci-fi settings just makes me giddy.
More mass effect, please! As a loyal member of the Lore Corps , it would benefit us greatly
Gotta admit. The first time I played Mass Effect 2 and saw the Normandy SR2, I had that feeling of seeing a long lost flame, kinda like seeing Tali again but more...I don't know how to describe it other than.
I loved that ship, and I was out to make the Collectors pay for the SR1, I made damn sure to Hiroshima their asses the first time.
Always was disappointed didn't actually get to fight with the Normandy
The SR-2 can use her stealth system longer and with FTL at activation and deactivation due to being able to handle a higher blueshift. There's also the mod that allows her to have further improvements using things that are actually part of the lore.
It's 5 seconds. The codex voice over says 15, where as the codex itself says 5.
@@christophergroenewald5847 Okay, I was going by what I heard as I don't really read the voiced stuff. Thanks for that correction for me.
That iconic Mass Effect music in the background
3:40 That scene just perfect.
YES! Welcome to Mass Effect MDB!!!
Yes!!!!!! I´ve been wanting this for so long!!!!
I'm so happy with new Most Detailed Breakdowns from other game universes. (Hugs and Kisses)
i like the breakdown on the ships. there interesting to hear more about.
