Rich learning the reality that the global game of golf is not the property of PGAT. I usually watch for the laugh but Alan has given an accurate dose of reality
Remember 12 other top players are with TGL . This is important as they are by looks of it bankrolled by the Raine Group . People should know the PIF used to be and probably still are tight with Raine. They both were financing the PGL which was identical to LIV. The PGAT are getting double teamed . They doing there best to keep what control they can .
Part of this reminds me of the old AFL vs NFL fight that ended in a merger and the Super Bowl. The AFL was started because the old NFL had a quasi monopoly and was anti-growth, or very slow growth. Golf needs a over 40 year old tour. Guys past their prime LINGER until they turn 50 for the senior tour. An over 40 tour would solve that, and make it less frequent because most of them have family requirements that are more important than golf. I would rebrand to 3 tours: PGA , PGA over 40, PGA Senior Tour for over 50 year olds.
That's right! Garcia, Reed, Johnson, Watson, Schwartzel & Phil all have their green jackets, but not Al-Rumayyan. He's just another patron of The Masters - even if he runs the $700 Billion Dollar PIF!
World golf is in shambles and needs to reinvent itself, otherwise it will self implode. Unfortunately, golf is not a great visual sport, so it needs genuine competition between the best players in the world at individual and international level. A possible recommendation would be to increase the number of majors by adding a couple more outside of the USA and definitely one in Asia and creating a new major's scoring log (total shots relative to par) over all the majors.

Shipnuk is complete bull sh**. The agreement maintains that LIV can't recruit anymore. That was fundamental. Because that's true LIV is done by the end of next year when the current player contracts expire.
The DOJ told them their concerns with the non solicitation clause and they agreed to drop the clause from their agreement. So it’s gone and LIV is free to recruit if they want to but at least for now they probably won’t. Their slots are filled for this year but it opens it up for next season. The PGA needs to get the deal done because if they don’t now that everybody sees the PGA is willing to do business with PIF and the prior roadblocks that kept people from jumping in are all but gone. And if those hesitancies are gone with nothing stopping people from flocking over LIV can simply operate without an attack to the Tour because they have the assets to wait them out. Sadly the Tour is in a spot where they’ll have to bend to make this thing work because if they don’t, and everybody who didn’t want to do business with LIV is now willing to do so, the Tour will dry up over time. Probably not immediately but over time because you simply can’t compete with a bottomless pool of money with finite resources.

???they said from the start the saudis we’re trying to buy golf? How is this any different?
Without Kevin Van-Thug, so it's slightly more measured and factual.
Poor Rich. He didn’t hear what he expected.😂
And i love it. salty Rich need someone pushback
What do you mean?
Mardy Fish got screwed, a perfectly timed scream in his backswing. Nobody is talking about it.
What a stupid finish. Trading LIV for a green jacket? I`m thinking Little Richie is going down hill....FAST

They may have done Rory a favor. Had he been involved in any way, he may also have received some of the anger from other players

Literally zero chance Steph Curry could play the champions tour. There’s a world of difference between him, an amazing amateur, to touring pro.
