There is some difference between transactional biz relationships (FedEx) and “branded endorsement” (reputation laundering). Many sports leagues are guilty of selling out - F1, Premier League, …

I don’t go to any concerts where tickets are sold through exploitative monopolists LiveNation / Ticketmaster. I quit Facebook in 2013 when it became clear they were reckless and exploitative regarding user privacy and misinformation. I don’t make a big stink about it. I just believe it is important to live my values.

    Golfers will try to form a union next. ⛳️ The top-10 will be against it, but the rest realize that the PGA and LIV are about to cash in and likely take it public through an IPO. I hate all of this, but it seems inevitable. 💰

    The cost of a single early round ticket to my local PGA tour stop is about $100. That's 3x what I paid a decade ago and 6x what I paid in the mid-90s. Following this announcement one can expect that price to increase exponentially to the point where fans are literally priced out of it. Meanwhile corps and players fight over the table scraps all the whole claiming victimhood to the tune of net worths of 9 or more digits. Sayonara...

    Alan Shipcuck had somewhat of a decent take until he said "it's not about money". That's ridiculous, This battle was sustainable for the LIV/Saudis, they have unlimited funds, the PIF fund dwarfs the PGA Tour funds to say the least. The PGA Tour was going bankrupt.

    I think this is not over. Mcllroy said at the Canadian open it was not a merger of the two tours ( he said it twice) and the PGA players would not allow the LIV players to just come back given the damage they did. Rory said his understanding was that it was a merger between DP World tour, PGA and the Investment fund. Guess we will see.

    Why should the players who made a business decision to stay with the PGA be compensated? The LIV players took all the risk and were compensated for that risk. The players that stayed with the PGA didn't have any risk.
