I see many complained about power supply issues in epson 5040 projectors do you experience any problems with the power?

Still up and running great. I've given the projector to my brother who is still using it without fail.

Hey, thanks for the video. I have the same projector. Mine is 4 1/2 years old. Sometime last fall, I started noticing that the fan seemed to come on at startup a lot more frequently than it did before then. I changed the filter that (like yours) was not visibly dirty. This had no effect on the fan coming on more often at startup. It seems to happen every 3 or 4 times I use the projector. Have you noticed this with yours? Am I simply noticing a timed cycle that has always been there? This may just be me and not a real issue. Any thoughts or answers would be appreciated. Thanks.

What do you keep you mode at - High, Medium, Eco? It can be set to change with the user button so if it's changed from Eco, to Medium, or to High you will definitely see different fan usage occur. Medium will vary when that fan turns on, but in High mode it almost instantly turns on.

Am hesitating between the 5020UB 1080p(550$) Vs the 5040 UB 4k (1000$) as a second hand is the 5040 makes that huge difference or just noticed by someone has experience with the projectors? My budget is a bit tight so if the 5040 is a game changer i may try to get the unit.
    Thank you good man 👍

Kalyankumar Lakshmanadass it’s the recommended Chief mount. It has to be ordered in three parts.

I really like the projector, and at this price point, it's a best buy.

I had a 1,000 hours on my Epson 5020UB. Never changed the filter. Just cleaned it. I just now got the 5040UB and sold the 5020.

I really like the Epson brand. Sony makes great projectors as well. 4K pricing is coming down, looking forward to the future pipeline of Epson products.

Would have been awesome had you actually recorded how you got the filter cover off, sure it was easy, as you show us the projector with the filter cover already removed. Smh….

The unit blows inside out. So the outside of the filter may look clean. Remove it and look at inside

Same opinion as @Tomas. What's the purpose of filtering at the outlet? Clean the air in your room?
