Thanks for the video. My poor saw got accidentally left out in the rain and then went into a shed to rust 😢 there’s something f-ed on the inside and I have to take it apart to see what’s seized to get the part. Power is getting to it fine, I can hear the motor starting but no spinning. It’s just it’s jammed somewhere. I’m guessing its the gear case but will make sure.
That's great I am glad it helped . Your issue may be only the brushes stuck to the armature if that is all it is get it rotating again and it will be alright
@@doctorlefthandthread thank you. The gears were lovely and greasy, totally fine but when I went to pull the gear casing out, the whole motor came with it. Motor is stuck to casing. Yours just came apart just fine in the video. I am now scared I broke the brushes. They won’t pull apart. I’m doomed 😂
@@jessicapeck1061 don't be afraid you had a Saw that doesn't work as you had before try and free it up with contact cleaner to see of it comes loose. If you can remove the brushes first it's a good thing to do

That snap ring holding the gaurd on is a pain in the ass😂. I bent mine prying it off my dewalt rear handle
