Just wanted to say, I’m sorry this one is a bit light on editing. My laptop is broken and in for repairs so I don’t have my usual software! I hope you still enjoy
Personally, I find it funny how many people _wanted_ the house visits from villagers prior to 2.0, and then when the update came, people were like, "Wait, no, I changed my mind!"
best tip i ever received was to only use a flimsy axe, even if you can upgrade the axe. You'll get the achievement for breaking axes, but this way you can harvest wood from the trees every day without actually cutting them down, incase you like where they are placed. Carry a net when shaking trees and always stand dead center. When the wasps spawn just use the net and you'll catch them every time. Don't be afraid to sell stuff to get bells, items that can be cataloged can always be obtained again.
Carry a net when shaking trees. And depending on how many trees you have, you have up to five wasps. Also: if you have Nintendo online, open your gates to friends when you want to decorate your house.
I hope the decorating thing is so villagers done drop in while you're decorating. The amount of times this has happened when I've set aside specific amounts of time *just* for reorganizing is crazy
Why not place a Atm at the Stores and one in your home? You Dont really need money any where else and if you do (Harv's Island for example) there is usually an Atm there.
I always wanted to give a photo to my villagers in return for them giving me a photo for high friendship level. One way you can do this is get the framed photo or framed poster item and you can customise it. I drew a pattern of my villager and customised the picture in the framed photo item. I just think it’s sweet. To make sure it definitely gets displayed in their home if you have the happy home paradise expansion, ask Tom Nook about changing the villagers home and display the item for them.
I'm pretty new to the game, and I heard that wasps always appear in the same trees in your island. So I did a little trick to know what trees have them and it served as a decoration, sorta haha. I DIYed a wasp design and the placed it beside the tree where the wasp were as a painting. That way everytime I'm shaking trees I know to be prepared with my net for those specific trees.
You can also keep the villagers out of your house by opening your gates. If you don't want friends coming over then use the local play option. As long as your gates are open they won't invite themselves in at all. The only down side is that you have to go to the gate to open/close them.
To Piggyback On Villagers Entering Your Home Uninvited: If you happen to be decorating in another room, they will ask if you are home before entering. In turn, if you decide to stay in the initial room they will assume you are not home( and not come into the house). Hope this helps some of y'all if you were not already aware:)
I learned this from TH-camr Popendo: when you shake a tree that ends up having wasps inside it, quickly spam the NookPhone button, and open the Camera app, then close it. Unless they've patched this out, they'll have frozen, swarming around you in infinite circles, unable to actually sting you. You can even catch them with your net without any risks!
You can also walk into another room to get villagers to leave, and I love using vines for a shortcuts since I don't want to spend all my bells on ramps but I put them on the back of cliffs because they don't really match my island's aesthetic
A tip I have that I noticed from one of the loading screen info things, if you press A repeatedly when you're on that boat, he'll skip his song and get you to the island. I think it's A, but could be B. Can't remember which, it's been a while since I played
In happy home paradise, you can actually obtain 2 diy recipes per day. 1 from the bottle on the beach (this will either be a diy or food recipe) and the second one is when you build the restaurant (not the cafe) Go into the kitchen of the restaurant and talk to the villager you chosed for the chef, they will then give you a food recipe! Also you can purchase 4 or 5 different clothing items from the clothes store on the island too when that's built
Don't forget that once you've unlocked the Restaurant, the cook in the kitchen will give you a free food recipe once a day. as well as the doctor in the hospital, he will give you a piece of clothes depending on the body part that ''hurts'' You can also buy food for display or consumption from your cafe and clothes from the store. Even the teacher in the school will gift you a free item.
My most regrettable mistake is selling things I can never buy back, like trophy’s and things like that, I was so sad about it because I wish I kept them to decorate my island with non generic things :(
When I'm low on bells, I like to shake my trees while holding a net so I can catch wasps and sell to Flick. I usually stock up on high selling bugs waiting for Flick to visit my island
If you want to collect your dreamies faster, it helps to not talk to the villagers you want to stay on your island. When they move to your island don't talk to them while they're moving in, or ever at all. Only speak to the villagers you want gone at least once. The game needs you to introduce yourself to the villager for them to be an option for moving out. So each time you get a dreamie don't speak to them only the villagers you don't want. Then after you collect the villagers you want and there isn't anymore moving possibilities, then you can talk to them and carry on. I learned the hard way back in the day, i kept getting villagers i wanted to stay constantly wanting move out instead of the villagers i wanted gone. On a special note, there was another thing we could do like hitting a villager we wanted to stay with a net when they had the moving bubble over heir head so we could get the bubble to bounce around from villager to villager, but it looks like they patched it out because i kept trying to transfer the bubble and it doesn't skip over to another villager after i hit them to disrupt their thought bubble.
Happy home paradise also lets you purchace full on food items from your cafe by talking to one of the waitresses. You can obtain a pulmeria start (the bushes you see around the island) from the teacher in the school, and finally you can obtain different medical related clothing items from the hospital. Go to the hospital, talk to the receptionist and tell them how you don't feel good, they will then make you an appointment and say the doctor will see you soon. Sit down on any empty seat (or lay down in a bed) in the waiting room and in a few seconds the receptionist calls you to see the doctor. Go into the exam room and talk to the doctor, depending on which answer you give them will determine which clothing item you may get.
I carry vines instead of a ladder. You can keep your other tools in your hands and climb up or down the vine. No more putting up one tool to get out the ladder, then putting up the ladder and getting out the tool. Vines save so much time! I love the vines❤❤❤
Best tip I I’ve got is that you can sneak up on sea creatures making the really fast ones so easy to catch. Instead of spamming A to swim you just use the toggle to slowly swim up. Maybe others knew this but I had no idea this was possible 😅
If you’re not in the main room of your house, they go away without coming in- if I’m only stopping home to access storage (not fully upgraded) then I go straight to one of the other rooms to do so, and as long as I don’t head back to the main room before they give up (doesn’t take long) then they assume I’m not home and they leave.
Once you have all the stuff you need from wasps (Critterpedia and NookMiles from being stung twice in a row), you can do a little work and never have a wasp on your island again. 1. Shake a tree to find a wasp. Make sure you remember which tree you shook 2. If you get a wasp, immediately hit the "-" button to quit out of the game 3. Start up again right away. When the game loads again, it will be as if you didn't shake the tree because autosave doesn't happen every second that you play 4. Go dig up that tree 5. Do that until you've gotten all five or six wasp trees 6. Now go plant those trees in an area you don't need to access, and build a fence around them 7. If you never shake those trees, they will always have a wasp in them 8. Never worry again about shaking trees on your island
You can fo a somersault when jumping into the water. You press A to run and B to somersault. It has to be done from a rock or a dock, and it's pretty cool. Save those wasps for when Flick visit. Bob's Gang
A tip that goes along with all the message bottles and the HHP restaurant recipe...3 villagers will be cooking or doing DIY every day, with 3 hours minimum in between. On weekdays, I check my island at breakfast, then really quick when I get home, and then again right before bed, and that allows me to get all 3! (now if I could just get the last 5 that I don't have...). If your game is running but your Switch is asleep, the next villager DIY/recipe won't "activate" until you start playing again, no matter how much time passes!
In no particular order - it just took me a long time to figure things out in this game: Shaking a tree with a net is the way forward, but only if you shake FROM THE FRONT. If you are shaking from the side, you are likely to still get stung. Giving villagers fruit as a gift, means they won’t display it in their house, messing up the aesthetic. However, THAT DOES NOT APPLY TO COOKED DISHES. They will love them and then display them proudly. There is a chance the house will look like a casino buffet if you keep it up, before realising what is happening. Yes, ask me how I found out… You can jump from one bit of land to the next, meaning if you don’t want a bridge, a small step stone island will also allow you to cross. Villagers can’t use them though. The criteria for something being counted as a lake/river/pond can be really awkward and it is always worth doing some fishing after landscaping to make sure that your new water feature is being counted the way you want. You need to pregrow fruit trees before you can stick them into tight formation, but they will happily fruit after that. There are tons of awesome resources outside the game: the Nintendo app has a little ACNH section with a paper and you get coins you can redeem once per day when logging in. I use an app called ACNH.guide to track my daily tasks and which music/art I own. There is also a page to determine your weather pattern, allowing you to predict meteoroid showers. Requires some work and daily tracking initially, but well worth it. There is also a place to predict your Turnip market and a Reddit community, where people will advertise having particularly good prices (just lock up your island with a donation box to hand, before inviting guests). Plus several communities, such as Pinterest, have INSANELY talented artists, happy to share their custom patterns. Fabulous does not begin to describe it!
When I did a restart I kept all my fossils until blathers arrived so I could donate a lot all at once. Also keep all the bugs and fish until Flick or CJ comes you will have to wait but LOTS of bells
Thanks for the tips! I have a question, if anyone can help. I've only been playing for a few weeks (but have come quite a ways, lol). I used to shake my trees and get one furniture type of object each day, but for the past 5 days, I haven't gotten ANY. I have read that some people get two items, and I have also read that people get only one, but I'm not getting any! I've even had my husband watch me two days where I went around each of my trees ( and there are a lot), just to make sure it wasn't just me and that I wasn't missing trees. Also, I am shaking each tree 5 to 10 times just to be sure. I was wondering if when I pop the present balloon in the air, if that is taking away from what I would have gotten in the trees?
I wish I knew before that you in a fishing tournament or a bug off you could go up to the cage in a bug off and claim your bug back. Specially if you hadn’t caught it before same for the fishing tournament, you can clam back your fish out to the cooler and I didn’t know how to do that. I wish I knew that before.
Another tip the villagers in your home that if you're in like one of the side rooms or upstairs or in the basement and they decide to barge in wait for a little bit then they'll think you're not there and then leave
3:59 I simply let my slingshot break. I hate hitting my rocks, so I ALWAYS reset my fishing rod, shovel, and nets durability, buy flimsy axes from Nooks Cranny to hit my trees, and let my slingshot break, only using 5 hardwood, which is in abundance
One tip is if you use your axe and chop tree's three times it will break and if you find a bamboo shoot you have to plant it and it will be a bamboo tree in a few days
You should know that if you don't talk to a villager cpu for a long enough time and someone comes to your island, they can take that resident, so make sure to talk to your favorites daily.
You can also receive a DY recipe from at least one villager who is definitely in his house working or cooking at least two different times of the day (I think one in the morning and one in the afternoon 🤔)
--for those who are low on nook miles AND are time travel friendly, here's a way to get points quickly whenever you start this sequence, use the nook shop machine in the town hall to start the consecutive day point reward. so if you do this on 10/20/23 at 10:00am, then time travel to 10/22/23 4:30am, go to the town hall and use the machine and it'll give points for day 2 access. the reason you would jump from 10/20/23 10am to 10/22/23 4:30am, is because each day ends at 5am, and since your day 1 is 10/20/23 5:00am - 10/21/23 4:59am, your day 2 would be 10/21/23 5:00am - 10/22/23 4:59am, and you want to time travel to the end of day 2, so you can get to day 3 quickly and in one session. so once you get the miles for day 2 consecutive use on the nook machine on 10/22/23 4:30am, it will shortly become 10/22/23 5:00am, which puts you into the next day, so you can get the 3rd consecutive day for nook mile points. once you've gotten the points for the 3rd day in a row, you can do any daily routine stuff on the island, and there's no time constraint to finish it. once you're done, time travel to 10/24/23 4:30am and get the points for the 4th day in a row, and do things on the island until the time is 10/24/23 5:00am, and then go back to the town hall to get the points for the 5th day in a row. if there's other things you do daily on the island, do them before 5am. for example, you can order 5 items, pick up the DIY on the beach, get coffee, water flowers to help get a hybrid, dig up the glowing spot, etc. if you have a long list of things you plan to do, adjust the time you travel to accordingly. for example, if you have a lot of things to do, consider using the time 4:00am on the time travel days. if you don't want to do much, use the time 4:50am or 4:55am instead. i wouldn't go past 4:55am just to be safe though because sometimes loading can take longer than expected, you will have to listen to isabelle's announcement, and you may get a call from timmy/tommy nook when you leave the house if you sold through the drop box.
general tips: 1. if it rains and all of your flowers are watered, but you don't want them all to spawn, pick the flowers you don't want to spawn, or use the construction app to lay down a path along the border of flowers you don't want to spawn 2. for the glowing spot in the ground, if you plant 30,000 or less bells, the money tree is guaranteed to produce 3 times the money you buried. anything above 30,000 bells has a chance of producing 3 bags of 1000 bells instead of 3 bags of what was buried. for example, if i bury 99,000 bells, the money tree can either produce 3 bags of 99,999 bells OR 3 bags of 1,000 bells. if you're short on bells, you can be safe with the 30,000 bells 3. feng shui. i suggest using clothing or wall items to decrease interference with your design. yellow items can be hung on the left/west wall and yellow items/furniture can be placed along the left/west wall and one spot away from it to increase luck with items green items can be hung on the south wall (wall the entrace of your house) and green items/furniture can be placed along the wall and one space forward to increase the ease of getting furniture and recipes from the balloons red items can be hung on the right/east wall or red items/furniture can be placed along the wall and one space from it to increase luck with bells
The fact that it’s apparently rude to move furniture when you have villagers over, but you can just waltz into their house and start snooping through their wardrobe and cooking in their kitchen is kinda wild.
Just restarted a new island recently, so this is very timely. I cant play new leaf atm (my 3ds is slowly dying) but its nice building the island from scratch again.
If you need to complete the museum and need art go on the map and look for a icon at the secret beach and nookazon/nookapideia will say wich art is real or fake and when you reach 3 stars go to harvs island and you should find more area and get shops likes redd's totally legit art and if you need bugs/fish if you cach a new one it will say "YES" first examples 'YES I caught a common butterfly ' or "YES I caught a sea bass" just a handy tip
Thx for those Tipps ❤Your island is beautiful too❤ Can u do a challenge it’s u have 30 days to do a Island WITHOUT Animal Crossimg Onlien😊😅U dont need to do but it will be very cool😂🎉❤
What I don't get is what is going to happen on those empty spots that were supposed to happen if it got updated? All the more reasons ACNH needs an update.

You should know that if you don't talk to a villager cpu for a long enough time and someone comes to your island, they can take that resident, so make sure to talk to your favorites daily.
i’ve inclines and use vines in a few places on my island. I only have a ladder in one place and only recently added it.
You can also receive a DY recipe from at least one villager who is definitely in his house working or cooking at least two different times of the day (I think one in the morning and one in the afternoon 🤔)
In New Leaf, I would go to another room and turn off the light, the vilager would assume I'm not home and leave. Maybe it's the same for NH?
--for those who are low on nook miles AND are time travel friendly, here's a way to get points quickly
whenever you start this sequence, use the nook shop machine in the town hall to start the consecutive day point reward. so if you do this on 10/20/23 at 10:00am, then time travel to 10/22/23 4:30am, go to the town hall and use the machine and it'll give points for day 2 access.
the reason you would jump from 10/20/23 10am to 10/22/23 4:30am, is because each day ends at 5am, and since your day 1 is 10/20/23 5:00am - 10/21/23 4:59am, your day 2 would be 10/21/23 5:00am - 10/22/23 4:59am, and you want to time travel to the end of day 2, so you can get to day 3 quickly and in one session. so once you get the miles for day 2 consecutive use on the nook machine on 10/22/23 4:30am, it will shortly become 10/22/23 5:00am, which puts you into the next day, so you can get the 3rd consecutive day for nook mile points.
once you've gotten the points for the 3rd day in a row, you can do any daily routine stuff on the island, and there's no time constraint to finish it. once you're done, time travel to 10/24/23 4:30am and get the points for the 4th day in a row, and do things on the island until the time is 10/24/23 5:00am, and then go back to the town hall to get the points for the 5th day in a row.
if there's other things you do daily on the island, do them before 5am. for example, you can order 5 items, pick up the DIY on the beach, get coffee, water flowers to help get a hybrid, dig up the glowing spot, etc. if you have a long list of things you plan to do, adjust the time you travel to accordingly. for example, if you have a lot of things to do, consider using the time 4:00am on the time travel days. if you don't want to do much, use the time 4:50am or 4:55am instead. i wouldn't go past 4:55am just to be safe though because sometimes loading can take longer than expected, you will have to listen to isabelle's announcement, and you may get a call from timmy/tommy nook when you leave the house if you sold through the drop box.
general tips:
1. if it rains and all of your flowers are watered, but you don't want them all to spawn, pick the flowers you don't want to spawn, or use the construction app to lay down a path along the border of flowers you don't want to spawn
2. for the glowing spot in the ground, if you plant 30,000 or less bells, the money tree is guaranteed to produce 3 times the money you buried. anything above 30,000 bells has a chance of producing 3 bags of 1000 bells instead of 3 bags of what was buried. for example, if i bury 99,000 bells, the money tree can either produce 3 bags of 99,999 bells OR 3 bags of 1,000 bells. if you're short on bells, you can be safe with the 30,000 bells
3. feng shui. i suggest using clothing or wall items to decrease interference with your design.
yellow items can be hung on the left/west wall and yellow items/furniture can be placed along the left/west wall and one spot away from it to increase luck with items
green items can be hung on the south wall (wall the entrace of your house) and green items/furniture can be placed along the wall and one space forward to increase the ease of getting furniture and recipes from the balloons
red items can be hung on the right/east wall or red items/furniture can be placed along the wall and one space from it to increase luck with bells
If you are trying to get a higher rating I recommend adding a few flower gardens
The fact that it’s apparently rude to move furniture when you have villagers over, but you can just waltz into their house and start snooping through their wardrobe and cooking in their kitchen is kinda wild.
If we give a green pipe to a villager, can we teleport inside their home while they aren't home? Lol
No, he mentions you can't use them inside villager's homes. ❤
Just restarted a new island recently, so this is very timely. I cant play new leaf atm (my 3ds is slowly dying) but its nice building the island from scratch again.
if you could put pipes into villagers' houses, you'd go straight to Bob's. I know it
Hey crossing Channel , ur one of the many animal crossing channels I watch everyday and it inspired me to make my own TH-cam channel:)❤
I didn’t really think of anything creative, but I said something about mashing buttons and fishing. I don’t know… :/
It would be nice to just simply disable guests into your house as if it was 1.0 or something.
Also the shops on harvs island are 100,000 bells(100k bells)
If a villager comes to visit your house and you’re not in the main room they’ll eventually assume you’re not home and leave
At first I thought you released an F-bomb, but you said sofa 3:01
Wasps are an easy sell for bells!
You can also get a free food recipe from the chef at your restaurant at Happy Home Paradise each day.
Why does the couch have a thought bubble with three dots in it?

If shaking trees hurt them then I dont know what I will do. I will burst into rage!
if you are in another room other than the main one you can ignore the villager and they will go away
I love the way dom looks becouse they have a white t shirt that looks like its just naked
I just ordered 5 cardboard boxes everyday as it was the cheapest item i had to buy in order to get the ap on my nook phone.

This will help me with restarting my island. Sure, I had a lot of progress. But boy, you don't wanna know how UGLY it was.
💚great video
How do I get to another one of those islands and build a house?
What I don't get is what is going to happen on those empty spots that were supposed to happen if it got updated? All the more reasons ACNH needs an update.
