I love how they made so many items that island designers were trying to mimic. It's so cool, castle walls, ruins, more trees,plants. The food items,buffets,cafés. The possibilities are endless. I'm also a huge fan of the vines. The cliff faces were so bare and you can climb and diy!
I think the mannequin on the floor is supposed to be for a hospital. I think it's a teaching mannequin for either chest compression or defibrillator practice.

People practice on a mannequin when they’re learning/practicing CPR. Just a guess since it looks like it’s laying down on the floor vs on a bed. Who knows, maybe we could actually place it on a bed for the hospital setups =O

If you have the DLC and talk to Wardell, he offers a catalog of all (or most of) the items you have unlocked when decorating the facilities/houses. The catalog is set up like the Nook Shopping app and there is a limit of 5 items per day. I randomly discovered it so I’m not exactly sure how it unlocks.. maybe you have to spend a certain amount of poki. There are also exciting Paradise Planning items in the catalog too

I think the "apple bobbing" item might be a hot spring bath with yuzu floating in them! And if I'm correct, it might be on sale as a seasonal item for the winter solstice!
the tub with lemons is the "Bathtub with Yuzu." I think i saw it in the nook shopping under seasonal items. It's a Japanese winter solstice item. I've literally spent hours playing happy home designer xD I'm up to the hospital at this point. And some of these items you can gain access to for designing with. And some are only available on the resort island. So some of these items are only available in the shop over there. But ,later you do get the ability to exchange poki for bells and vice versa I believe. It's not a flat rate sadly it fluctuates like turnips.
with the HHP, if you design a house for a special character, their photo will appear in your catalog for builds there. i don’t know if you can get them on your main island…

I think the anniversary cake is there because it's functionality got updated. I noticed the other day while going through my catalog that it now has the edible food item icon (the dish tray, rather than the leaf icon) Also, I believe that "fallen mannequin" is actually a CPR dummy.
I'm really sad that they didn't bring back the Creepy Coffin for some reason. They brought back the Skeleton, Cauldron and it seems like they brought back the Crystal with an updated design, but they left out the Coffin which was the one I wanted the most, as well as the statue, clock, the two headstones and the wallpaper/rug. Would have been great to have for Halloween and spooky themed islands. These new items are so good though, they make me greedily want more. The carnival items, the Torii gate and all the new farm items were the things I wanted most, so I was overjoyed to get them.
The new clover shaped door plate says welcome in gaelic! I'm so surprised they would use my language and not a more commonly known one! I'm super excited to get that doorplate now!

I’m also liking Sable’s new pattern type “Variety.” I think it came with the Custom Design Pro Editor + but I could be wrong on that because sometimes I do some button mashing 😅 I just noticed it today while customizing a client’s vacation home. Honestly, that's the perfect word to describe this last update; OVERWHELMING. 😆 Even after I've finally gotten a sort of daily routine going to ensure I've done my projects (gyroid collecting, foraging/harvesting, market donations, etc.) I still have so much else to do in terms of redecorating the island and my home. And with 9000+ items it's gonna be a while to figure out how to move things around. But thankfully most of my theme is pretty easy to work with for the most part, so when and if I finally get things the way I want, it'll be ready to visit in the future. 😁

I believe the only way to get the special character pictures is through HHP. I've read that villagers will sometimes gift you their photo in the DLC content.
I love the plush items so much! I love plushes in real life so its nice to express that better in AC as well. Not a big fan of the baby items though. It seems creepy to me.
@@falconeshield also, I bet a lot of these furniture items probably got added thinking about hhp and the villager house reforms. The furniture is useful for a lot of the kangaroo villagers since the female ones have their babies with them. I've found 2 femalr kangaroos in hhp so far and both themes were parenthood oriented so it makes sense to have that. I do agree with op that the clothes for our characters do seem extrangely weird. I know they can be used humorously but a lot of them kinda unsettle me.
Not sure if anyone has commented this but you usually unlock posters by uploading the amiibo on harv’s island in photopia. That then give you the ability to order the poster from nook shopping.
I'm glad for the furniture. I have put Pine Trees and a Volcano on my island for reasons. Pine trees: Mostly near Moss, because the bottoms look like Moss. Volcano: I put it near my Stony area, and the Volcanos are mostly stone
Oh I think I know how to get the npc photos, with the dlc hhp once you unlock the VIP villagers( kk slider, Timmy and Tommy, etc) once you complete a house for them you get a photo sent by Lottie in your mail box back on your main island the next day.

1:45 to get the photos of the special characters, you need to invite them to Paradise Planning (DLC) after you’ve done about 20 homes. You’ll receive a photo of the special character you did a house for the day after completing their home. You need their amiibo.
Once you make a home for a special NPC in Happy Home Paradise you not only can use their picture in decor but you are also gifted the photo in the mail the following day.
you can probably get the new villager photos through the dlc, since you get to use the photo and poster of every person you build a happy home for. You can use the amiibos to get all the old character's homes.
Crossing, it is through amiibos that you can get those photos. Go to harvs island and invite the NPC you want through amiibo, and then you can access their poster. Not sure about the item frames though

The photos for special characters are rewards in Happy Home Paradise. After designing Kicks' vacation home, I got sent Kicks' photo in the mail the next day. I have a hunch that every special character will do the same.

I finally pulled the trigger and restarted my island. I had a 5 star, but I felt so bored. I felt like version 2.0 was the perfect time to do it! I can't wait to play the new game!
I found out a way how to unlock the special villagers photos and it's if you make them a home in the Happy Home Paradise dlc the next day they'll give you your photo
If you have happy home paradise and you scan a npc and make them a home a day after lottie sends a photo of them! I’m not sure if it’s the only way but i found that out recently since i’ve been playing :)

The way you get the special photos is by creating a house in hhp for them (for example, if you make a home for Celeste you get her photo in the mail)

I found out a way how to unlock the special villagers photos and it's if you make them a home in the Happy Home Paradise dlc the next day they'll give you your photo

btw guys you can actually order all the furniture you’ve used in hhp from Wardell after buying a certain amount so I ordered tons
If you have happy home paradise and you scan a npc and make them a home a day after lottie sends a photo of them! I’m not sure if it’s the only way but i found that out recently since i’ve been playing :)
