I don’t think that’s Sundance. I think it the woman from the trailer. The one that said “we’re the light of hope”. When she said “I’m what you wanted me to be”; it’s likely that she can’t show her real form for some reason and took the form of someone Cayde wanted to see
@@JDog2656 i think he was a dick because he went to the Black Garden and got semi-corrupted. then in forsaken, the giant meatball got inside his head masquerading as his sister. all the evil shit he did was “for” Mara Sov, but it really was him being led down a false path. as to why he doesn’t defend himself, in this context he literally has no idea what Cayde just saw or heard. odds are he took it as a “i need space right now, back off and let me reconnect to reality” type deal.
@@Mariocat99 I think she's still wherever Cayde was in the light and reached out across the Traveller's light to talk to him (fair call), or the Traveller itself was using her image to pass a message onto the Guardians - but obviously the Witness interrupted that communion. My current theories for this vision's implications are: If the Witness hadn't hijacked the transmission, Cayde might've gotten a lead on how to restore Sundance. Or it'll be revealed that Cayde and Sundance have completely merged.
@@Aurora-313 Or the Traveler through Sundance was setting up a way to tell them on how to defeat the Witness. SPOILERS FOR 2ND TO LAST MISSION. Devotion. Bravery. Sacrifice. Targe was devoted, was noted by Zavala. "He was always devoted". Targe's bravery to go into the dark pillar to save Zavala from the Witness. Targe had to sacrifice himself in order to free Zavala from that room, or else he'd be one of the voices talking to us along with the rest of the Witness voices. Through that, Zavala was able to be pulled out of the dark pillar and told us the whole "What was made in the darkness can be unmade" and the "Meet us where we destroyed ourselves".
