I definitely second the request for a pressure relief option on the tank parts. This update has put the realism in an awkward and inconsistent place -- real tanks absolutely need a way to relieve pressure, but needing 2 stormworks blocks or even just one stormworks block makes it vastly more bulky than in reality.
It definetly sucks that every creation needs to be updated now :( And the fun part is, my plane looks really bad because I cant fit the ports into the tank sneakily anymore, since I need them at the front and back, in case im climbing or sinking..
It's bloody insane that their entire argument for having that retarded pressure build up in tanks on spawn was so that old creations would work without modification. They clearly don't work without modification anyway and even if they did you still wouldn't be able to refuel them. These devs man...
After the gas update I thought that can be Problem but wasn't shore about that, I actually build on a ship Hull and thought I should use a Valve, but wasn't shore and focused on the Hull, good to know that the valve is necessary to use a fuel tank correctly, i wanted to build a tanker vessel 😅 And hey, for that kind of build is it not to bad to use more pipes on the Deck, it's good for more details, shore, it's bad for existing builds but for new ones you have to think twice to solve the Valve problem.
PSA for the PSA: cat converters are directional. I spent several hours banging my head against a wall wondering why my engine was choking out on my recent RHIB despite release valves, a couple fuel line redesigns, testing and retesting and testing retests of my engine setup and ECU to finally look at the cat to find the exhaust was built up… pulled a pipe off the end leading into it of it and sure enough: “Exhaust Out”. X_x Part of this is because I haven’t played in some time. When I stopped, exhaust was bugged and nothing produced smoke. Didn’t even occur to me that they’ve fixed it and this might the problem. The other part is that I simply forgot cats were directional and didn't check it when initially building the exhaust.
I have been putting air scoops on my fuel tank air valves. idk if it does anything but some drag cars ram air into the tank to ram more fuel into the engine
I had an issue with one of my seaplanes not being able to restart the engine after running it for a while, and I think you just solved my problem for me! Thanks! Also, is this relevant to the stock, pre-built vehicles, or only modular engines?
Yeah I struggle getting a readout of how much fuel is in my vanilla tanks because it only reads the total volume in there, In other words any readouts on fuel will be false. You won't see how much fuel you have left in vanilla tanks as the volume is replaced with air.
I actually went and run a test with this and found.... no meaningful results. If anything, the tank without the valve seem to consume the fuel a bit slower in the beginning, but when both reached 1atm of pressure, which stayed like that till the fuel run out, the amount and rate of consumption equalized on both. Valve or no valve, nothing really changed.
like gee, at least when from the depths do massive changes they dont make thoses changes retroactivelly apply to old construct like they remove deddyblades, old constructs can still keep theirs, they change connection rules, old constructs dont fall appart,, why is it so hard to make the system check if the blueprint is made before x date before ruining it
The devs need to add a built in pressure relief to the prebuilt tanks or at least the smallest one, the relief system is as big as the tank itself! also where are the 2x1 windows, the AI vehicles have XML windows, why cant players have them without hacking the game?

Right! It totally puts a damper on certain micro builds and is a bit clunky

@@Sembel-xh9vq the game doesn't model fluids aligning to gravity or sloshing, so you can have all of your piping coming off one port.

i barely used a relief valve on my creations, just on my last helicopter build, didn't know it made that much of a difference
You just solved a heap of my problems! Thank you for this!

It would be nice to havr the relief option
i found using your pumptruck to pressurize the fuel storage trailer, makes unloading it a ton faster
i am actually embarrassed that i have been uploading creations to the workshop not knowing this.
i encountered this issue when playing career mode, and my tanks would go from filling up instantly to stopping only at half full

yo dude i just did the same thing tysm you're deadass a lifesaver 🙏🙏
Thank you mate!
Huh, so I my assumption was correct. This is why every diesel tank in my creation has some kind of relief valve next to the hose anchor.
Thanks you so much you saved so many of my vehicles
noob doubt: in case of making a boat with 2 engines and multiple medium tanks to each of the 2 engines, which shall be my layout of gas relief stuff?
any way to boost this? even with a relief port i barely get some fuel into my tanks before it stops moving
noice 🤤 (Nice vans btw)

This is a simulation element i didnt need in a game

I'm still happy for realism updates even if my previous builds are obsolete 🫠
My fuel pumps are locked up at spawn. I cant purge it right without draining all my fuel too.
I notice it on my submarine, the balast wont drain out💀,
Thx
It is best to be informed about what comes out in upcoming updates along with functions and other types of information.
👍👍👍👍👍
Is this the reason why rps are unstable in your creations?
This is a new bug in the game - they were all stable previously - and try with Unlimited Fuel set on
@@454ss_gaming got it love your works btw
man can the stormworks dev do one update that dont make the entirety of the steam workshop vehicles broken in some inconvenient way?

I thought this was common knowledge tbh
