Marilyn Manson born Brian Warner definitely was a goth shock rocker especially on stage, kinda like Alice Cooper, but like him he was very talented and was not just a novelty act. This is an outstanding cover as was his take on Dephece Mode's Personal Jesus. You gotta check out too.

Marilyn is a genius. He doesn’t worship Satan like some people think, and him being blamed for Columbine is insane. It’s about not following what everyone else does. Be your own person. He has his own style, beliefs, and is an incredible artist.

Marilyn Manson is extremely intelligent and one of the last true artists in my opinion cause he doesn't just limit himself to music he does film and paintings and more and every album has a different style and image and that's what I love about him. And he was rocking grillz before rappers

You should listen to the first, and original singer of this sing. It was done in 1964 by Gloria Jones, a black lady that was married to glam rocker, Marc Bolan, lead vocalist of T Rex. She fled England because they wanted to arrest and try her for his death. I love her version, it's raw and goes hard.

The Goth scene started back in 1979 and Bauhaus’s single Bela Legosi’s Dead is considered to be the song that kicked it off. It then gained popularity in the early 80’s with bands like the Sisters of Mercy, the Mission, Alien Sex Fiend, the March Violets, Xmal Deutschland, the Membranes, and Fields of the Nephilim. Sisters of Mercy is one of my favourite bands from that era and if you feel like checking them out then I’d recommend Temple of Love, Marian, This Corrosion and No Time to Cry

Marilyn Manson is an artist. The more you learn about his past the more you realize that a lot of what he does is an act and sometimes the app can consume the artist but it doesn't make his music any less powerful have a great day I love you all

For me, i like different kind of music. I am 51 years old and when I was 20, I wasn’t emotional grown to appreciate this kind of music. Music is emotion and for me I like to feel all kinds of emotions through music. In this moment with Big Bad Wolf or Korn ft Skrillex with Get Up. I love it. Other times I listen to classical music. Why not enjoy all?

Original is great, but also love the latest Halloween cover of this by Broken Peach (kinda Spanish ramped up Home Free) with a Rammstein opener. Great songs can always be interpreted for each new generation of music and its all good.

MM is a cross between Goth and Industrial music. When he first emerged on the scene he was so controversial he was banned in a lot of cities and even award shows. When Columbine happened he was blamed and thethe way he handled that situation was just pure class and integrity. I love his music!

Goth isn't a freak thing, it's when people tell you you're a freak, so you double-down and make them regret throwing the hate through style. Like how Churches have Gargoyles upon them to protect the divine energy within.
Most Goths I know are super kind-hearted and have really gentle cores.
Goth has many subcultural offshoots though. Marilyn Manson is more on the fetish shock-rock end of the spectrum, with a bigger onus on wearing the (consensual)BDSM side of His personality on His sleeve.
He's letting you know things will get crazy if you wanna get intimate.
Which is a flex I can respect in today's increasingly sanitized flirt-free World.
Sexual transparency is so important. 🖤

If you want a better understanding of him his biography is a pretty crazy read. He had a crazy childhood and experiences growing up. He is also an artist as far as painting and he brings out his artistry in everything he does.

I love to see people reacting to singers and bands that I remember listening to as a kid or teenager when they first came out.
Marilyn does have some good hit songs.
And he was rather shocking to us back I'm the day.
But he had a huge fanbase.
It was when I heard this song when they first played the music video on MTV TRL with CARSON DALY that I truly saw Marilyn Manson in a new light.
I mean he has that signature scream in alot of his music.
And other times he sings in a lower key and almost whispering sometimes yet screaming it but I'm a low pitch which is so hard to explain. Lol but to hear him sing at a more normal range and not just screaming his lyrics out.
Well, he really got to showcase his vocal ability in a way I had not truly known he was capable of.
And I was highly impressed and dare I say I even deleveloped a crush on him after watching this music video. Lol
I mean he sounded freaking sexy.
Amd if you think this music video is erotica.
Keep in mind yiu are watching the CENSORED version of this music video.
    Try watching the uncensored version.
They show naked breath in it and also during the scene near the end of the song where Marilyn is on the bed with those women.
He spanks one of them on the bum. Lol
So yeah, this version is actually more pg.

Teen movies in the 80s were much more graphic than what you see today and this video re-enacts what they used to be like.
