Jonathan Davis definitely has a spot on my list of favorite singers of all time. Man held nothing back, he poured everything he had into these songs. Take care of yourself and your mental health man, it's everything! ❤
I saw them in New Orleans 2002. Trust Company and Disturbed opened. Brian "Head" Welch is one of Korn's guitarists. Check out his story about finding God, leaving the band, raising his daughter, battling addiction, and returning to the band.
korn talks about real stuff some songs might sound goovy or catchy but when you pay attention to the lyrics they hit you in a place you didnt know you needed to be hit at. it actually helped me alot in my life.
Korn was God status after this. Best concert I ever went to was seeing them around that time. Mosh pits were insane. Nobody on a cell phone taking videos
It´s in your head and mind forever mate! I was 8 years old 1999, at the time and I heard about Korn for the first time through a friend. It was just such a great time! I never want to miss!
Well, cell phones with cameras didn't come out till that year, so yeah, no cell phones in the air. But I get your point. Concerts should be enjoyed, not standing with your phone in the air the whole time!!
I was 17 years old and watched Woodstock’99 at a friend’s house On Demand. I remember seeing the crowd go completely insane when Blind came on and still to this day, imho, it’s the greatest shot of a crowd at any show I’ve ever seen, period.
I feel like this is how a lot of people become fans of the genre. A certain lyrics or riff just hits you and open your own eyes to something relatable.
I was there at Woodstock 99. I was dead center in the sea of people when Limp Bizkit and KORN played. When I say we felt a buzzing and felt like the crowd was moving like a wave pool is an understatement. At first I was worried about crushing bc my Gf was with me but it was great. No issues, except for the heat, water and food issues from the event planners. After the acts finished we left Saturday night, luckily before the nightmare started Sunday.
I am a 50 yr old woman with adult kids, beautiful grandkids and all I am totally new to your channel, I love seeing how younger people react to music that I love. this vid is 6 months old but in the words of Chester from Linkin Park, another AMAZING band, he is a badass vocalist, being inside of your own head can be a dangerous place!
About that part where opened about being awake at 3 o'clock and your struggles... You are not alone man, you have the strength, you'll manage it, I know you don't doubt yourself, but in case you do - don't. You'll persevere, you're the man
Korn angst ! Using anger in song! Rock and roll is about rage, anger, pain, addiction, getting even, saying what nobody else will say!!! Love some Korn!
Omg... I wish everyone could experience that "crowd wave" just once in their lives. My first time was at RATM's battle of LA tour in Nashville. The energy and force of the crowd literally causes it to feel like jumping waves in an ocean. The waves somewhat carried me for a few seconds of weightlessness... and as someone who is sensitive to human energy, it's an undefined feeling of mass exhilaration. It's not euphoric, but just weightless burst of energy, a happy freedom.
Blind their first single off their first album. I’ve seen KoRn live seven times & their live show is like a fine wine. It’s gotten better with age. 😉 ✌🏻💚🤘🏻 it’s the only way to fly!
Phenomenal reaction(!!!!!) to my favorite band since I was a teen in the 90's-early 2000s. Seeing them live is a different experience each time, but with the familiarity and safety of a band that has gotten you through your darkest of times and helped create some of the best of times!! Take Care All, ❤❤ Amanda Heath
These album brings me back to some of the best times of my life. I was in my mid 20's. A friend of mine would sit in my backseat and grab my seat and shake it while we listened to this. He's been gone for 14 years now but sometimes I can still feel him grab my seat and shake it when I listen to it. ❤️💔
Korn’s music is all about making you feel things. If listening to this one song is resonating with you this much take it as a sign that you’re one of us now and just listen to the rest of their music. This is song 1, album 1. Imagine how you’ll feel by the time you get to the 4th song, the 12th song, the next album, etc. In a way you can say listening to Korn is literally a therapeutic experience, I’d even go so far as to say when you listen to it with others you could say it’s group therapy. What Korn fans will tell you is that the music is reliable therapy in that it can make you feel better and understand your own psyche on a deeper level.
Im your age and have been a huge fan since the first album. I saw them 2 years ago and let me tell you something...I was blown away. My body hurt from banging my head and body so much. They still put on a truly amazing show.
Their lyrics speak to a lot of us. Have faith, it'll work out. It feels like it's piling on all at once, but you can only tackle little bits at a time. Prioritize those bits, knock them down, and move on to the next one. ❤
I went to Woodstock 99 Korn was epic. My gf at the time ended up in the red cross tent from dehydration after Korn. Should of know when she couldn't hang . Lol
I was there and the floor was a beautiful debauchery of metal madness! I have seen Korn at least 10-15x! I had to get my noticeably pregnant ass away the "the floor/pit area when it got to be too much when I saw them at Summer Sanitarium Tour 2000. My all time fav band! 🤘🏻🖤🤘🏻 I'm 52 now and going to see them again this summer to enjoy all of their beautiful madness!🖤🤘🏻🖤
I was 19 and my older brother and some of our buddies got a keg, put it in the back of a van and drove there. We did have a sober driver. It was so awsome. I still got the poster and shirt i got when the riot broke out.
I've seen Korn 2x live and fortunate enough to be side stage...Jonathan Davis is crazydeep with ALL of his lyrics...the fact that the ENTIRE band have stuck together and Brian Head Welch is someone you need to research his road to God...when I moved to SoCal, I wound up shopping for groceries at the same store as Fieldy...I love ALL of these guys...
I was at this show! Craziest mosh area EVER! My all time favorite band🖤🤘🏻🖤 This has been my ringtone for the last 10years. I love when it blares off while I'm shopping and I get looks like I am a devil's spawn!☠️ This song ALWAYS used to be their opening song but lately they save it til the end!
Keep you're head up and keep moving forward. Love to you and your family. Music is very theraputic and helps us heal and grow. I have specific playlists for different emotions I may be experiencing. I enjoy your reactions. Keep up the great work and god bless.
My favorite band ❤.I’m going to see Korn in September. Saw them 2 years ago & Jonathan Davis voice is even better now! You should do the studio version.
Saw them at 1997 Lollapalooza at Great Woods (not named that anymore) in Massachusetts. They came out on the Low rider bikes and sparkling Adidas sweat suits! The bass drum and bass guitar as well as guitar teasing the crowd with just subtle beats and scratching riffs. The best years of my life 18 years old, not a care in the world and EVERYONE got along, no matter the race, the political side you chose. Being a kid/teenager is an innocence that the mind and spirit can NEVER get back. Now I look back on those days, close my eyes and just escape for a few moments. TH-cam has memories like this locked and loaded for as close to a time travel experience as possible. What whaaaaaat!! Happy Friday folks!!
I have been trying to find the video of Blind from one of the Lallapalooza stops where rows of seats were just demoslished afterward. Ripped out of the ground and just tossed around. No luck find ing it yet
love korn. Insane live, equipt with a 6 ft base drum that emphasized the tribal sound they have. Thanks. Dont beat yourself up or take on more than you can handle. It wears you out mentally. Time flies when your standing still, I like to say
Thanks for sharing your thoughts bro, sometimes life is difficult and we need to share our problems with others to realize all the different points of view that we are ignoring, keep working with yourself and God bless you, 🙏🏻 Greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴 ❤️
I was freaking 14 years old. Just a little bit behind you. But I *am* a metalhead and grew up on this music, so I knew the song. Was happy to see this video pop up from you. Keep doing what you're doing.
Congrats on your new baby man, love to hear that. I'm glad you got to hear this song on a day when it could help you out. Talk to us all you want bro, we'll listen! Hope things become smoother for you. Thank you for this reaction, fire fire fire!
I was there. It was crazy. That whole weekend was nuts. Got hit in the throat by a water bottle thrown into the crowd at a rave by Fatboy Slim. Got water spiked with ecstasy and almost got trampled in the Metallica pit. Loved every second.
Man, if I could go back in time and relive parts of my life, I’d choose the 90s and early 2000s! So much fun. Best time of my life, filled with music and concerts…authentic & kinda innocent & unspoiled by cell phones and social media. We lived, laughed and loved in the moment and didn’t document in order to watch and share it later. Such a different time. I miss it!
90’s mosh-pits were crazy before all the health and safety regulations were brought in. I went to see Korn live over here in England, UK, back in 1997. I was a skinny 19 year old and decided to be at the front in the mosh pit. This song kicked things off - the crowd went insane and scared the shit out of me, lol. It was so packed that I couldn’t even get my feet back on the ground. Then I got booted in the head multiple times by “Crowd Surfers” (more like “crowd rollers” really). At that point I knew I had to get the hell out of the pit, but we were all so jam-packed together that the only way out was to get myself up and crowd surf over the front barrier. So that’s what I did. Then watched the rest of the show from the side. “ARE YOU READY!?”… No. No I wasn’t. I honestly thought I was gonna die at one point. 🤣 As an aside, Incubus were the support band that night. I’d never heard of them before but they were brilliant. I enjoyed them much more than Korn and am still a big fan today.
For the diversity of artists at Woodstock '99 festival, it was the hard rock/ heavy metal bands that closed ALL 3 NIGHTS and triumphed on their stages over rap, pop, R&B and every other genre of artists who performed... Night 1, KoRn was the band that ruled the stage that night... Bush (the band) went on after them but could not compete w/ their response. Night 2, Limp Bizkit took the stage first w/ the #1 album in the US that week and the crowd got so amped up that barriers were getting pulled down and wrecked... Rage Against the Machine came after and the crowd was jacked to 11... Metallica finished the evening's set w/ their heavy set and triumphed. Night 3, tensions were starting to simmer in the summer heat... Sevendust performed, followed by Creed... Megadeth took on one stage and the Red Hot Chili Peppers on the other to close the festival... The Chili Peppers distributed candles for a peaceful vigil to mark the tragedy of the Columbine shooting... but the crowds started lightning bonfires and the crowd lit up and started burning and looting the stands in frustration. It was a sad end to the legacy of what was once a festival for 'peace & love' 30 years earlier.
I used tI only like rap and country but my boyfriend introduced me to korn and other metal. The pit at their concerts are just as amazing. I love the feeling of the bass in my heart. Every one should go to see korn live once💗 they are amazing.
I know the words have meaning and most times they have great meaning. But sometimes to just bounce your head and rock the "F" out. Look at that crowed and put yourself there. What energy.... so pumped.....
Korn's early work up until 2000 was particularly deep. Especially the first 2 albums when Jon was still working thru childhood trauma and they were all pretty heavy drinkers and other things. But songs like Daddy, Kill You, Mr. Rogers, Clown, and on the next 2 albums you have Pretty, Justin, Falling Away From Me, etc are all meaningful messeges
I had been going to concerts since 5th grade with my first in early 96 with Ozzy and Sepultura and Type O Negative opening, and then I started going to local punk shows in my hometown of Springfield Illinois with the legendary local band NIL8 and the legendary bands they brought to town
I've been to 3 Korn Concerts in Oklahoma City at Katt Fest and they sound just like the CD live and Jonathan Davis keeps that crazy ass energy from beginning to the end of their live shows!!! Best of luck to you and your family but especially for your health bro
Best concert/Festival I been to . I still have a piece of the wall =) . For Korns set I was pretty much up front. Was chillen with this couple from Michgan wit there 2 kids who where like 10 n 8 .
Was there .My hometown of Rome New York. Had to help 2 young ladies escape the 3rd row.The wave of crowd ate up girls and smaller statured gentlemen. It was electric
I was also 19 in '99 LMAO i didn't realize we're the same age!! I saw Korn live with Mudvane in 2006 at the Civic Center in Maine. 30 Seconds to Mars was supposed to be there but something happened and they didn't show. Awesome concert though :)
Love that you're still giving nu metal a go. Really wish you had someone to guide you through the metal journey, similarly to how you are with others like me for rap music.
I honestly love your reactions and how you dive into lyrics, meaning and the overall talent of these performers and many, many time periods and genres. I’m a 57 year old white woman in the Midwest. I’m just a general music lover all around. I can listen to Dolly Parton, Pearl Jam, Van Halen, there’s too many great ones to list here. Many people miss out on some really awesome music because they only like one type.
Keep fighting with your head held high, get knocked down 10 times get up 11. Appreciate your content, you've got this :) Korn were the leaders of the Nu School era, 90's were a wild time that's for sure lol
I saw Korn at Ozzfest in 2003. The crowd was insane. There were multiple fires started, and people were ripping up the grass and throwing huge chunks of it through the air.
always listen to album version first before live when it comes to Korn. totally different feel on album versions...especially their first couple albums
Aye, wishing you good luck bro. It sucks you have to move and all that.. but dont let the stress get to you because all will be good and god will take care of you. Much love brother
This song is freakin' 30 years old. Where has the time gone? This song could be dropped now and would reign supreme in the Metal world...no doubt.
i doubt it... i think we are stuck in that time... do you see some of the trends now?
Yea, we are in the nu-disco era now... this music will resurge in 5 to 10 years
its 25 years
@@notimportant3686 I do and it SUCKSSS!! Music is not the same! Wap! Fuck that noise!!
@@notimportant3686 I wish I had a time machine to go back to that time.
Korn has been a therapist to many of us over the years.
Jonathan Davis definitely has a spot on my list of favorite singers of all time. Man held nothing back, he poured everything he had into these songs. Take care of yourself and your mental health man, it's everything! ❤
I was there, in that pit, and experience I’ll never forget
Me too.
Same here
Yeah how was the heat?
Gotta say, Netflix nailed it! 25 years later and hearing a quarter million people sing the line still gives me chills.
the hbo documentary is soo much better.
I saw them in New Orleans 2002. Trust Company and Disturbed opened. Brian "Head" Welch is one of Korn's guitarists. Check out his story about finding God, leaving the band, raising his daughter, battling addiction, and returning to the band.
oh my, trust company - they rock!
korn gave head to god!!
I saw KORN and Rob Zombie in 2000 and I saw the First family Values tour in 1998 with Limp Bizkit and Rammstein
Yeah trust company what a great band.
LUCKY SOB
"Its a wave of people" Found that funny, that's a metal concert
You should see the madness that is Albuquerque!! Bands love us!😂
korn talks about real stuff some songs might sound goovy or catchy but when you pay attention to the lyrics they hit you in a place you didnt know you needed to be hit at. it actually helped me alot in my life.

Korn has been my favorite band since they released their self titled album in October of 94. I've seen them 5 times and they never disappoint live.

I'm not the biggest KORN fan, but seeing them in concert was one of the greatest decisions in my life. It's impossible to put in words.

Korn's rendition of Another Brick in the Wall from Sziget Festival 2012 is ❤🔥

NEVER CLICKED FASTER IN MY LIFEEEE!!!
I remember watching this live on TV and recording it on VHS. Changed my life forever was unlike anything I ever seen.
I had been going to concerts since 5th grade with my first in early 96 with Ozzy and Sepultura and Type O Negative opening, and then I started going to local punk shows in my hometown of Springfield Illinois with the legendary local band NIL8 and the legendary bands they brought to town
Remember this was the very first track on their first album. That buildup was amazing the first time playing the disc!
I love me some KORN! Awesome!!!!
People are STUPID to bring little kids to something like this...must have great nurturing, parenting skills!
@@Cchan53 not my kids but they looked like they where having a blast. Didnt see tyem after that .
I see them in a few months I saw them when I was 18 soooo good!
I saw Korn in 1995 in a small bar in Tucson, AZ - they opened for 311.
That’s crazy! The BKG office is such an iconic place. So many memories back in the day with ChainStore.
Yes their live is nuts
I was here for this. I was 15/16 (I turned 16 at Woodstock 99). I turned 16 the day of the big riot. Most epic sweet 16 ever.
God bless, we're praying for you bro!
I'm going to see korn in August in London.
Really can't wait, Korn is awesome live
🤘🏻🤘🏻
Keep fighting with your head held high, get knocked down 10 times get up 11. Appreciate your content, you've got this :)
Korn were the leaders of the Nu School era, 90's were a wild time that's for sure lol
Got the Life is my favorite Korn song. I'd love it if you reacted to that one.
I saw Korn at Ozzfest in 2003. The crowd was insane. There were multiple fires started, and people were ripping up the grass and throwing huge chunks of it through the air.
The anticipation is off the charts! It’s like standing on a beach and waiting for a tidal wave to hit you…
Much Love BP, Take care of yourself, take care of your family! This too shall pass man!
always listen to album version first before live when it comes to Korn. totally different feel on album versions...especially their first couple albums
Youre kind of like the bar tender that needed a friend to listen. ❤
When ever I am feeling down do to severe ptsd from stuff I won't get into metal pulls me out. Keep your head up
Aye, wishing you good luck bro. It sucks you have to move and all that.. but dont let the stress get to you because all will be good and god will take care of you. Much love brother
