What undervolt settings are good for i7-14700hx? Recently i saw a bit of fluctuation in my fps with a bit more heat in cpu temps. I was playing rise of the tomb raider. I would easily give 144fps , capped. At some intense places it would drop but recently i saw some wierd fluctuations. Like i saw it dipping then it literally dipped to 60-70fps. I changed the modes and then again back to the initial one and the fps drop was fixed. Also the idle temps of the cpu are on the higher side. Mostly above 55-58C , after undervolting. Rn i have undervolted at -125mv.
-125mV is good enough.. 👍

The videos u make are so detailed and really informative to see (unlike other useless so popular👎 reviewers) and at first when i saw that loq online, i thought that cpu is definitely gonna bottleneck the gpu but as we can see, it's not, and that's a really great thing and also the thermals of this laptop looks pretty controlled, i like that👍 BUT i just bought Colorful Evol P15 i7 12th gen and rtx 4060 variant at 80k, let's see how it will perform... and i would definitely match these scores with that one (to get a rough idea on how much the cpu is affecting the performance in real world), anyways again, great video, keep it up👍🔥💯

the community for Lenovo loq mentioned that on the stock 170w charger many of them noticed a power drop while evening charging, many of them demanded a 230w charger but the lenovo team just asked them to update their BIOS.
now the new update adds a battery drain protection which nearly dorps the performance by 50% for some users.
did you feel any power drop on your unit?

No no, one of our telegram members upgraded the BIOS and it doesn't drop performance by 50%. You can join our telegram to check out.
Earlier BIOS : Enable Battery drop protection makes GPU locked to 40W.
Now GPU still goes 90W.

Yes all LOQ with 170W adapter.
So 1 question, theres a i5 12th gen H processor with 4060 on flipkart for 83k with delivery in 2days. And i5 12450HX with 4060 on lenovo webiste is similarly priced but it would take 4-8 weeks to deliver because it is "customized".
My question is if i were to have any trouble in flipkart model then would they replace my laptop or give a refund?

bro i noticed one thing in throttle stop you have set the E cores turbo Ratios to 0 , whyyy?? on battery E cores won't gonna work no? that means more battery usage and less battery backup!! Isn't it?
No no, that was just an experiment I was doing. Don't take it at face value. I just wanted to show that undervolting was not blocked and is available.

24GB is a good compromise. Don't expect boost in fps except may be in the Last of Us.

Yes you can stream because you can stream with either the iGPU of the CPU or using the dGPU. Both are great in terms of quality.
If you use RTX 4060, then you can also use AV1 encoding for streaming at great quality with lower bitrate.
No need to worry about CPU core usage because you are offloading the load to the iGPU components or the media engine of the dGPU.

105W. So it may be max 115W. In real game I would doubt a 4050 would go beyond 85W.. even it goes it'll only increase temps and no gains in fps.

I bought this laptop because of the great price and basically to skim over this kind of underwhelming RTX 40 series generation. RTX 4060 and especially 4070 needed to be way better, 4080/90 is completely out of budget.
So this is a good laptop to fill a stop gap. Great value.

No.. the cpu is toasting itself at stock, way too hot just playing a game. Cpu is locked anyway, cant oc. Laptops are not built to push high tdp, crap cooling cause no room.

It has 2 slots (2230 and 2280) with 1 empty. There is nothing like a storage limit. The limit is the amount of storage you can fit in 2 drives.

You don't to worry about the CPU one bit. It's single core performance is very good and total 8 cores (4P+4E) is plenty for next 10 years.

Expect 25% lower performance. 4060 is not that great for 1440p.

Extreme mode can be enabled by clicking the checkbox under custom mode.
Don't both with extreme mode.
I would suggest using custom mode + max fans. Inside custom mode you can go to CPU thermal throttling limit and take it from 97°C to whatever you wish like 80°C or 85°C..like whatever is the lowest possible.

You mean SSD? I don't get into the nity gritty of SSDs, have never had any issue with QLC or TLC. I don't have PHD in SSD technology, just know if option is available and cost is not much more, you may go for TLC.

Check in the video. Lenovo Vantage section. You have to select custom mode and hit the checkbox to enable extreme mode.
bro i recently boughtt a helios neo 16 4050 with i7 13700hx. I observed that everyone were getting 13k points in multi core but mine only is 11k. My single core matches with the other. Does o=it impact anything on my performance, should i change my laptop?
It doesn't impact much as you already have a lot of performance. But 13700HX should ideally score around 22k (in Cinebench R23). Are you talking about Geekbench? If so, then fine.

They are identical processors, so identical performance.
12450HX will be better if you want same performance at lower temperatures due to undervolting support.

Yes most of the stuff will be handled by the 4060 GPU. Use a video editor that takes good advantage of the GPU.
You can upgrade to 13450HX as well if you can afford. For me it's not worth it. Video editing performance is sufficient for me.

Make sure you don't pay too much. My 4060 unit was overall 72k with 10% credit card cashback included.
TGP for 4050 only matters till 85W or so.. it may go to 100W, but doesn't matter. No fps improvement only higher temps.
