This uv on cpu will also allow gpu to utilise bit more power inturn helping with the framerates.
That is dynamic boost for you.
The thing is UV lowers power usage but doesn't lower clock speed. So it's a total win. It's a must have feature (for Intel).

I do have a question that I have a intel i5-11400H in my MSI notebook and I enabled the overclocking options from MSI bios so I can use throttle stop but when I use throttle stop UV even -150mv and save changes perfectly it does not reduce temperature at all...feels like my laptop is always on its peak temp while gaming no matter I UV Cpu/Gpu or use cooling pad.
Please do you have any suggestions, my model is MSI GF63 THIN with RTX 3050
When you apply the negative offset does it actually reduce the voltage. See top right column, it'll change the values from 0000mV to your offset. And you should also see drop in power usage.
Along with that you can also lock power limit using TPL option.. I have shown in this video.
GF63 has pathetic cooling system.

@@aryanrana9860Check at the top where you select, CPU core or Cache.. does it say "FIVR Control" or "undervolt protection"?
I have said in the video, if it doesn't say "FIVR Control" then you are still being prevented from applying offsets.
I guess you are using Windows 11 which is the culprit. Make sure Memory Integrity in Core Isolation is turned off. And finally disable Intel Virtualization from BIOS. See if it works... or just go back to Windows 10.

2) Is there a huge difference bw the RTX 4050 Laptop and RTX 4060 Laptop?
3) What are the ports in this laptop as it isn't clear in the images in the listing?

2) Yes big difference between 4050 and 4060 as 6GB VRAM is quickly becoming a big limitation. Take a look at my gaming review of this laptop to see comparison against 4050.
3) Didn't get but it has 1xUSB 3.2Gen2 10Gbps Type-C port with PD 140W. HDMI (2.1??). 3xUSB 3 Type-A 5Gbps. Ethernet and power jack and 3.5mm combo jack.

Hey, I know nothing about undervolting but I have changed the processor power boost mode to "Aggressive at guaranteed" from "Aggressive" which greatly improved my temps. I don't really know what those settings do but I wanted to know if undervolting will help me with performance compared to what I have done.

I have a different video for Ryzen undervolting. Once again not all models support it.
We undervolt when we want to make our chip more efficient. We are simply lowering power while keeping clock speeds the same.
Without spinning your head if you are happy with your current performance and thermals then no need to do anything else.

i have asus tuf f15 i5 11400h , earlier I was able to undervolt my CPU using throttlestop, but now the FIVR is locked. I tried disabling Virtualisation, but I am not able to undervolt. I am only able to put -30mV using the BIOS. Please help.
does undervolting only work on lenovo LOQ products? or it works on any laptop brand with hx processors? specifically an acer predator helios neo 16.
For Intel 12th gen and later, only HX/HK processors are unlocked for undervolting and overclocking. But despite that Intel allows and some manufacturers do block the ability to undervolt like Acer Predator Helios Neo 16.
Bro If your undervolting is not decreasing temperature then go to bios again and enable then disable Undervolt protection again it's worked for me now temp are under 85 in gta 5 and without under volt 90-95 ° , and then I limit cpu to 40w same fps but now temp are under 75-80 thanks brother!
Basically you were still under "undervolt protection" so the offsets were not even applying.
I said in the video that at the top of FIVR window it should show "FIVR controls" instead of "Undervolt protection".
Anyways now you have finally undervolted your CPU successfully.

What is the wattage of gpu
On my I5 12450h 4060, I got 10300 in 10min throttletest on custom mode.
The 12450h is actually slightly more powerful than the 12450hx. The 4p cores of both processors are 4.4ghz but the 4e cores of 12450h are 3.30ghz while 12450hx are 3.10ghz.

65W + Undervolting -> 10 mins Cinebench R23 : 11180 points. I didn't even have to use 80W.
And single run result is 11326 :) Also only 60W+UV.
@@DeepteshLovesTECHIts alright. I got 10k with built in screen recorder and 10min test. Single runs give 11k+. The 12450hx without undervolt performs worse and thats because of the slightly less e clock speed of e cores.
But i'll give it you as the undervolted 12450hx matches the 12450h and has better efficiency and tempratures.
@@loquser Yup! Undervolting benefit is the key. Yes there is 3.3GHz vs 3.1GHz difference on the E-cores but undervolting makes up the difference and more. It also supports overclocking, but I haven't explored it much. Single P-core can go 4.5GHz.

No it has the opposite effect. Undervolting = Better than not Undervolting.

Bro my 5600h doesn't undervolt so what I did i locked temps to 85 degrees even still 5600h reaching 4.2 GHz while gaming no problem and power draw about 25W Ryzen is so efficient
Ryzen is more efficient by default, so undervolting is not a necessity. Even lowering TDP to half there's barely any drop in clocks or performance. But lower TDP with Intel drops performance significantly, so undervolting is needed.
But do note, Undervolting helps AMD as well.
Score before undervolting 10944 after undervolting 11017 and temp are same no difference.. Cpu pakage temperature are same
Lock the CPU TDP to a lower value.
I get 11200 odd at 60W with undervolting.

I wouldn't pay that much. 7840HS is an exceptionally good CPU. So much more advanced technologically.
Still to me it isn't worth paying 15k more. But I'm different, if you are getting the 8845HS+4060 setup for 90k-95k odd, can go for it.
r7 7840hs for 50% more battery life, in some laptops this chip provide 10+ hour battery. u can carry this laptop without charger.

also, you are having dpc spikes while recording and capturing, and doing voice over. pot pot pot kore abaj asche. you may want to buy an audio interface, if you do regular voiceover videos :)

No. Terrible battery life - 3-3.5hrs. Go Ryzen for battery life.

1) Yes try and apply for 230W charger. Lenovo's latest BIOS update fixed the battery drain without much compromise to GPU power(may be 5W reduced). Reported by user in my Telegram group.

@@amirsam4613 the actual problem is in the power modes, high performance mode is allowing the hardware to draw power from battery. I saw in TH-cam and the problem is solved by just using 230w adaptor and some battery tweak settings in BIOS

Try other means like AC Loadline balancing or simply cap your CPU temp to whatever you wish like 85C or 80C using Vantage custom mode or PROCHOT offset in Throttlestop.
Hey bro i have the same model and i have noticed some ghosting in some games. There clear ghosting in the ufo test. Is that due to low response time of the screen or anything can be done?
I haven't noticed any ghosting, I'm less susceptible to it. Typically the 100% sRGB screens 144hz have around 6-7ms G2G response times which is perfect for 144hz. Not sure what screen model you have.
If you are noticing ghosting, then tough luck, that's all.

Try the ufo ghosting test, it's visible there clearly.

Vantage app doesn't have much precision plus I think it only goes down to -100mV.

Hi bro I recently ordered a custom lenovo loq with i5 12450HX, RX 4050 and 24gb ram...I already saw 2-3 videos before ordering regarding the battery drain which I thought isn't a very big issue and can be sorted with a better adapter but recently I hv been hearing many cases of motherboard failure in recently bought lenovo loq's and the lenovo's customer service is also not able to solve the problem...even after changing the motherboard the problem still persists...bro any suggestions? should I cancel my order?

No. This is for Intel.
7840HS doesn't support undervolting, 7940HS does.
But anyways undervolting isn't a necessity for Ryzen because they are already quite efficient.

Check latest BIOS update, Lenovo has implemented fix for the battery drop without sacrificing performance.
Or call Lenovo support to replace AC adapter with 230W.

Some saying yes others saying no
Since Zen 4 , official undervolting support for AMD:
Ryzen 9 H/HS parts.
Ryzen 5,7,9 7045 HX parts.
With AMD you may simply lock temps or lower power limits, it's already efficient. Undervolting will help further but if not supported you are still good.

Ofcourse your performance will drop if you disable boost. You are basically running at base clocks.
With undervolting we are lowering power but not compromising with clock speeds.
Try locking CPU at 40W(using TPL settings shown in the video) and apply undervolting like I have shown.

Boss does this only apply to i5 12th gen Hx/hk, and so what about i5 13th GEN hx, i7 13th GEN hx or ryzen 7 7840hs, 8845Hs. Does under volting work on AMD processors as well
Undervolting steps are different for AMD and is supported only on Ryzen 9 7940HS/8945HS and all 7045HX parts.
What I showed is applicable on all Intel HX laptop parts or desktop K parts... same thing same process.
On a side note: Undervolting is not always needed for AMD but is absolutely vital for Intel due to poor efficiency.

Undervolt through throttlestop is temporary, it is removed once you restart.

@@vaisakhps744 its doing pretty well because i am constantly monitoring temp and also lowered the max TDP of CPU to about 45w , but would say if you are willing to take risk take , otherwise look for other options

Just reduce CPU all core clock by 100Mhz. and see reduced temp for almost same fps.

Bro you are undervolting the CPU cores and the GPU cores. No modes or anything affects it.

Seems like you can't undervolt much. Start with -70 and go down from there. And also go to TPL option and set PL1 and PL2 to 45W (this is best for both performance + temps). I have shown in the video how to do so.

To undervolt in Laptop through Throttlestop while keeping virtualization on we need Windows 10. Ami infact Windows 10 e shift kore felechi with full working drivers.

Yup you can. No need to worry about overheating because modern cpus can protect themselves by throttling.
I recommend similar settings like locking CPU to around 55W-65W and applying undervolting.

windows doesn't work on this laptop , your Audio will not work at any cost and i read that on a reddit post that 12th Gen CPUs have a audio controller that works with only win 11!! 5 days back i went to win 10 but later had to roll back to win 11 , however i'm on ghost spectre win 11 and it's sooo cooooll!! Light af consumes only 10gb for the windows installation and consumes only 3 or 3.5gb ram on idle!!
I'm sure Windows 10 wil work on this laptop. That's because I used Windows 10 on the Nitro V with everything working (except Thunderbolt 4). Infact Audio output was way better with Windows 10 as DTS-X Ultra was buggy on Win 11.

Go for it i have the same one using it since 10 days!! and it's amazing!! no performance hitch on this thing be it multi tasking or heavy gaming!! Just make sure you re-install the windows upon receiving the laptop , to avoid bloatwares and smooth functioning of the laptop

Are multiplier toh badhao
12450HX max 4.1GHz all core for P-cores and multiplier doesn't push it in real life. 12450HX is very base level and the cores have no more to give. Disabling E-cores allows me to hit 4.24GHz but losing 4 E cores is overall a downgrade.

Go for RTX 3060 Nitro 5 and if you don't want to the Legion 5i with HX because of the ability to undervolt the CPU.

Mine was doing the same, fans were not running at full speed. After changing the custom settings again and again and few restarts it was back to normal
