@DeepteshLovesTECH Hi, thanks for the guide but my laptop still shutsdown automatically after a 30 to 45 minute session of gameplay. The temperatures are below. Could it be because of power limit exceeded ? My voltage set is -110.4 (going below from this shows bsod) power watt set to 45
You can simply cap the CPU TDP to any value.. 15W,25W,35W ..anything. Then you can apply undervolting on top of it. Let's say you have a 12450H which doesn't support undervolting and to lower temps you cap it to 35W. This will lead to significant drop in performance in CPU heavy games. Now let's say you have a 12450HX which supports undervolting. Now you can not only cap the TDP to 35W but also apply undervolting on top of it. This will allow you to have very little drop in performance.
Followed everything correctly however task scheduler always fails to start throttlestop at log on, I need to manually do it, any idea how to fix it? Anyways good video , cheers!

Hey, I have the same exact laptop as you, with the same specs and processor. I just wanted to ask, if I set up this process, will I also have to set it up differently for each game I play or will it work for every game. As I'm thinking that different games would require different values in power? As, if I could set it up once, that would be absolutely perfect. My laptop is only a couple days old, and I'd really like to find a way to maintain lower tempretures for the long run.
Bro If your undervolting is not decreasing temperature then go to bios again and enable then disable Undervolt protection again it's worked for me now temp are under 85 in gta 5 and without under volt 90-95 ° , and then I limit cpu to 40w same fps but now temp are under 75-80 thanks brother!
Basically you were still under "undervolt protection" so the offsets were not even applying. I said in the video that at the top of FIVR window it should show "FIVR controls" instead of "Undervolt protection". Anyways now you have finally undervolted your CPU successfully.
For Intel 12th gen and later, only HX/HK processors are unlocked for undervolting and overclocking. But despite that Intel allows and some manufacturers do block the ability to undervolt like Acer Predator Helios Neo 16.
Bro I have low 12450hx 3050 in HWINFO I run it in background while playing game it's showing max 80 dgree in graph But in afterburner it's always 85-90+ for all the games?
Whenever I limit my cpu's power consumption to 45 watts my cpu performs significantly worse (8-10k drop in Cinebench R23 scores and 50-100 fps drop in valorant) and when I remove the limit my cpu runs at constant 90 degree celsius, What do I do?
What CPU are you using? What are your clock speeds at 45W vs when you are using uncapped power limits. Check 2:51 for Cinebench performance. Undervolt vs Stock. Tell me did you actually undervolt + lock your CPU to 45W TDP? Or did you simply drop your TDP without undervolting in which case, of course you'll lose a lot of performance. It's typical of Intel as it loses a lot of performance at lower power limits.
I am using a i7-14650HX on the Lenovo Legion 5i When the settings in TS are default I am getting a score of 23k at 4.1ghz but the temp is 90+ degrees and the CPU is drawing 110 watts When I simply cap the TDP to 45W I get 14K score but the CPU only reaches 70-75 degree Same result with UV + Wattage Limit
Possible. You are supposed to crash at one point, that's when you realize. Up the undervolt offset a bit more from current value and test again. You may have undervolted too much.
No. This is for Intel. 7840HS doesn't support undervolting, 7940HS does. But anyways undervolting isn't a necessity for Ryzen because they are already quite efficient.
Hey bro i have the same model and i have noticed some ghosting in some games. There clear ghosting in the ufo test. Is that due to low response time of the screen or anything can be done?
I haven't noticed any ghosting, I'm less susceptible to it. Typically the 100% sRGB screens 144hz have around 6-7ms G2G response times which is perfect for 144hz. Not sure what screen model you have. If you are noticing ghosting, then tough luck, that's all.

Hello! I used the same settings in the video but everytime when I play Cyberpunk 2077 it starts to stutter for a bit and FPS drops to 20 and it does that for a second. Then it comes back to 100-120 FPS. Did you have the same issue?
Not really.. some times it did when I first undervolted it. Did some fine tuning and using same settings till now.. no issues ever. No stutter nothing.
CPU uv is really useful but i don’t think it’s worth to undervolt 4060 because this GPU don’t consume that much wattage and pretty cold by itself compared to 30 series but pretty weak and not a future proof for new gen games so i don’t think it’s worth to lose performance. Did you try to UV by increasing the whole curve @900 to 2500-2550 mhz? That’s way you will lose less performance maybe 2-3 fps but can win 2-3 degrees.
@@DeepteshLovesTECH im also seraching in youtube what happens if i install win10 on a win11 OEM laptop, please update me if the installation was successful.
I wouldn't pay that much. 7840HS is an exceptionally good CPU. So much more advanced technologically. Still to me it isn't worth paying 15k more. But I'm different, if you are getting the 8845HS+4060 setup for 90k-95k odd, can go for it.

Ofcourse your performance will drop if you disable boost. You are basically running at base clocks. With undervolting we are lowering power but not compromising with clock speeds. Try locking CPU at 40W(using TPL settings shown in the video) and apply undervolting like I have shown.
Reboot the laptop. Turn on throttlestop and then boot your game and start playing. Sometimes switching between the apps while gaming may introduce stutters. Telegram group link in the desc.

@DeepteshLovesTECH Hi, thanks for the guide but my laptop still shutsdown automatically after a 30 to 45 minute session of gameplay. The temperatures are below. Could it be because of power limit exceeded ? My voltage set is -110.4 (going below from this shows bsod) power watt set to 45
I have the same model and specs as yours but I can't undervilt my cpu lower than -65 mv. Can you tell me why?
May be you are unlucky with silicon lottery.
Hey can i ask question what the meaning 35 watt without undervolting and with undervolting ?
Iam pretty confused,
You can simply cap the CPU TDP to any value..
@@DeepteshLovesTECH oh oke, what happen if i capped gpu and cpu power to 15 watt. Do the battery will last longer ?

Can you please tell how much fps you are achieving with this laptop in valorant?

Hey, I have the same exact laptop as you, with the same specs and processor. I just wanted to ask, if I set up this process, will I also have to set it up differently for each game I play or will it work for every game. As I'm thinking that different games would require different values in power?
As, if I could set it up once, that would be absolutely perfect. My laptop is only a couple days old, and I'd really like to find a way to maintain lower tempretures for the long run.
No it'll be same for everything. And it's adequate for everything, it won't need more or you won't gain anything substantial by adding more power.

Should I undervolt my Ryzen 7 7435HS
Bro If your undervolting is not decreasing temperature then go to bios again and enable then disable Undervolt protection again it's worked for me now temp are under 85 in gta 5 and without under volt 90-95 ° , and then I limit cpu to 40w same fps but now temp are under 75-80 thanks brother!
Basically you were still under "undervolt protection" so the offsets were not even applying.
I said in the video that at the top of FIVR window it should show "FIVR controls" instead of "Undervolt protection".
Anyways now you have finally undervolted your CPU successfully.
@@DeepteshLovesTECHbut bro it shows fivr control only that time but don't know it's not worked for me before , must be some glitch or something 😅
Hello. I have LOQ with Lenovo Loq i5 13450hx + 4060 . Do you think i should use same settings
You can try..
does undervolting only work on lenovo LOQ products? or it works on any laptop brand with hx processors? specifically an acer predator helios neo 16.
For Intel 12th gen and later, only HX/HK processors are unlocked for undervolting and overclocking. But despite that Intel allows and some manufacturers do block the ability to undervolt like Acer Predator Helios Neo 16.
Bro I have low 12450hx 3050 in HWINFO I run it in background while playing game it's showing max 80 dgree in graph
But in afterburner it's always 85-90+ for all the games?
You showing the CPU pakage temperature or tho Core temperature in this video?
Core temp are always lower then CPU pakage
I am using a i7-14650HX on the Lenovo Legion 5i
When the settings in TS are default I am getting a score of 23k at 4.1ghz but the temp is 90+ degrees and the CPU is drawing 110 watts
When I simply cap the TDP to 45W I get 14K score but the CPU only reaches 70-75 degree
Same result with UV + Wattage Limit
@@DeepteshLovesTECH Hey can you help me fix this problem?
Is this destructive for the laptop reducing the device lifespan? Will it cause the mobo issue of the LOQ to arrise more?
How it will be destructive to use less power along with lower temperatures ?
I got a bsod with a stop code: CLOCK WATCHDOG TIMEOUT, is it possible that I undervolted it too much or its hardware issue?
Possible. You are supposed to crash at one point, that's when you realize. Up the undervolt offset a bit more from current value and test again. You may have undervolted too much.
can i do this on my intel arc 530m variant?
This applies also for loq with ryzen 7840hs 4050????
No. This is for Intel.
7840HS doesn't support undervolting, 7940HS does.
But anyways undervolting isn't a necessity for Ryzen because they are already quite efficient.
Brother my game rashed and
Closed automatically.. So this is the sign right?
And is it ok i only undervolt my cpu??
Hey bro i have the same model and i have noticed some ghosting in some games. There clear ghosting in the ufo test. Is that due to low response time of the screen or anything can be done?
I haven't noticed any ghosting, I'm less susceptible to it. Typically the 100% sRGB screens 144hz have around 6-7ms G2G response times which is perfect for 144hz. Not sure what screen model you have.
If you are noticing ghosting, then tough luck, that's all.
@@DeepteshLovesTECHi have 100% sgrb as well, i don't notice it in games as well. It's only noticeable in some games during darker scenes.
Try the ufo ghosting test, it's visible there clearly.
Hey deeptesh loved your video ! Do you have any idea whether undervolting will ruin my warranty or Accident damage protection warranty ? ...
Bruh Undervolt won't cause any damage in the first place. It's literally impossible.
This vs acer nitro V , which is better ?
And can you tell me price for this laptop ?
Effective 72k to 75k. Obviously way better than Nitro V.
There is cpu overclock option in the lenovo vantage app why didn't you use that one to undervolt the cpu over the tradel stop ??
because it's lenovo official app it's easier to use i also have loq i5 12th gen and 2050
i want to undervolt but can't find a video on TH-cam that useing the vantage app to undervolt loq i5
That's Throttlestop provides more granular options and is more light weight.
@DeepteshLovesTECH is it possible to do a undervolt and get similar results in temperatures just using lenovo vantage software ?
the fact of using other software's on top and to start throttlestop on every reboot even with scheduler it's more complicated and cumbersome
the app itself is a lot more complex as well
@@78amir.jI also thought the same bro do you did undervolting through this lenovo vantage application.

Not really.. some times it did when I first undervolted it. Did some fine tuning and using same settings till now.. no issues ever. No stutter nothing.
@@DeepteshLovesTECHcan you share the exact settings used? I have the same laptop as yours. Thanks
CPU uv is really useful
but i don’t think it’s worth to undervolt 4060 because this GPU don’t consume that much wattage and pretty cold by itself compared to 30 series but pretty weak and not a future proof for new gen games so i don’t think it’s worth to lose performance.
Did you try to UV by increasing the whole curve @900 to 2500-2550 mhz? That’s way you will lose less performance maybe 2-3 fps but can win 2-3 degrees.
Is it necessary to undervolt every time I shut down and turn on the laptop again?
You just need to turn on the app. That's it. You can automate this using task scheduler as well.

What if we undervolt form the Lenpvo Vantage app itself?. Does it have any drawbacks. I want to undervolt but also wamt to undervolt from the Vantage app. Please give a reply or make a video. I am waiting.

I just have one question, you mentioned to use custom mode in lenovo vantage and max out all the options, but will there be a problem if apply the undervolting in the performance preset and not custom mode?
