    Had to re upload this video because of copyright issues. Let me know what type of inspection issues you all have ran into. Thanks for watching!

    Sounds to me like the technology they use for the inspections hasn't caught up to the technology used in the LED's. LED's are FAR superior to halogens in every aspect imo. My eyes are starting to go a bit with age and I'm at the point where i don't like driving at night. LED's changed that. I did change to yellow covers on the led fog lights on my 96 for superior lighting in heavy fog and snow, but as i mentioned, the headlights are definitely superior in coverage.

      I agree, they definitely are a lot better in my opinion as well. Even if they spread the light pattern and aren’t as focused as halogens, I think I’d rather see a wider area than more of a smaller area

    @KCars thinking about getting a jeep cherokee, I dont know a lot about vehicles and what to look for and what jeeps should have, if you would be able to check out some pictures and let me know what you think that might give me a more solid choice on one.

    I’m getting new lights soon, I don’t drive too much at night but when I do I can only see 5-10 feet in front of me with these stock xj lights and it’s not bright at all. That guy is crazy

    • @KCars
      @KCars  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those were my thoughts too lol I guess they just have to be more focused and not spread out

    I have an xj.. I think you need to find another place to get it inspected .. they seem to very picky.. stock headlights suck

    • @KCars
      @KCars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree. Couldn’t see a single thing driving at night with them

    Those headlights are illegal here in Australia too. It’s a pain in the arse. LEDs are not considered an upgrade. The light is very white and it reflects badly off rain, fog or wet surfaces, unlike halogen.

    • @KCars
      @KCars  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting. I agree they definitely do reflect off of wet roads. I think they are an upgrade though, most new cars now come stock with LEDs

    • @officialWWM
      @officialWWM 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KCars yes, they come with leds but most of them have a lower colour temperature, so they work better in bad weather conditions. Most of the 7inch after market lights aren’t as high tec. That being said, I agree with you, they are a lot better than the factory lights! I just put led bulbs in my factory lights. You can’t really tell from the outside but they perform a lot better than stock.

    • @KCars
      @KCars  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a good way to keep the stock look while getting better light output

    I woulda asked him how tf they got DOT approval if they weren't bright enough. Doesn't the DOT encompass the whole nation? Also and I'm pretty sure to accurately test lumen output they do it in an extremely dark room or box that let's in no other light. I'm glad theres no emissions or inspections here, and I can usually register stuff sells tax free as well lol.

      I didn’t wanna argue. It wouldn’t have gotten me anywhere because they go by their machine and not the DOT stamp I guess
